20 thousand dollars for demolition cost? Just spread the word that there's copper pipes in that shed. Trust me. That shed would be demolished in a matter of a few seconds for free.

I was born and raised in Manhattan. And people are so dam miserable now. I understand taking some of them down. But some did look nice. It also brought businesses to store owners that were struggling. Now they will probably put it on the sidewalk. Why is it that all these ugly eye sore Scaffoldings don't come down like this? They are in every corner of every block. You can't barely walk straight. Nobody complains about those Gigantic eye sores. Being up for 5-25 years. How come the city doesnt do anything about that?

The city is gonna have a field day with these fines before the holidays. Take down those horrendous sheds pls business owners literally have the entire indoor space for customer seating, now they want to hog up the sidewalk and the street with more chairs. Nah enough is enough..

Why did the owner think spending 25K on an outdoor shed that was supposed to always be temporary was a good investment? Thats not the cities fault. These were never meant to be permanent structures.

Making them tear the sheds down only to make them reapply to put them up later, bureaucracy at its best. What a waste of money. I’d be furious as a business owner, not to mention the missing revenue generated from these dining sheds.

@@DaveRamblesmajority of New Yorkers don’t own cars, so it is only fair that those majority of New Yorkers have some of the road space. We don’t need more parking. If you don’t like the parking situation then take the subway train or bike. Also bike lanes don’t take up nearly as much space as car lanes and parking spots. 55 percent of New Yorkers don’t own a car, so it is only fair that we give 55 percent of road space to buses and bikes, in fact we don’t even need that much road space.
