This method may work here, but not with other comprehension. Nobody teaches main idea better. They are some words that are repeated that you didn't pick out. What's your criteria for picking repeated words out? How did you combine them? What your criteria for eliminating and combine words that are not keywords but are needed for you main idea formulation to make sense?
What does the Author whats me to know? Offcourse all that he wrote. I see this question everywhere when the teaching about main idea. I rather you tell me how to derive the one idea that is important that summarizes the whole passage or paragraph. I have not seen one video on this.
