How does that only have a 12,000 pound capacity usually these things have a 20,000 pound towing capacity

The 360HP Cummins 6.7L combined with the Allison 6spd 3000 series is only rated to tow up to 12,000lbs. In order to get the 20,000 lb. towing; you would need to have the 8.9L Cummins M2-106 Freightliner chassis combined with the Allison 6spd 3200 series. In the Renegade line up; that would be the Renegade Verona and Verona LE models.

You guys are out of your mind 6.7 Cummins. It’s a good motor in a pick up truck. You’re trying to skimp too much. I know you gotta make a profit but you could at least put a 9 L Cummins in this minimum.
