Hi Nick great stuff, why does this engine not have to have a break in period? I thought putting an engine on a dyno just after its been built would be impossible.
@@niallmccabe4766 We go through the process of bedding the rings in, by using the dyno to apply controlled load on the engine, and build cylinder pressure to force the rings into the cylinder wall and bed in. In total the van was ran in on the dyno for a few hours, with 2 oil changes. We then go full whack on the mapping and this we find is enough to ensure good running in. We've done this a good few times now and find that the end compression on all engines is 200+psi, so nigh on perfect and confirmation of the process 👍
