I’m working wips for the Holidays, breaking apart sock tubes into ankle socks. I can get 3 short sock sets out of 1 tube.
Fabulous sweaters ladies! It is so difficult to see such beautiful sweaters and be inspired, yet live in a Beachy climate! For Christmas I have knit my son a pair of socks,and for my daughter, as directed, a self-drafted mustard yellow, lacy, cowl that will wraparound her neck twice!

Happy Holidays! I always called myself the Selfish Knitter but I’ve dropped everything to knit a rabbit and a pig ( kits) for two of my granddaughters. Funny how you can’t resist THOSE requests! Their mom had a pretty sad Christmas stocking so as I watched this episode I was weaving in ends of a Arne and Carlos pattern from a few years ago. I’ve added a plain area to the top of all of the fair isle for her name. Now to learn how to do duplicate stitch! My Robinia still has a sleeve to go because of all of the above!

You girls are amazing! I have a question maybe someone can help with. I had started my weekender crew holding 2 strands together - it's beautiful and I love it but had to rip it back because I kept dropping one of the strands. I went back at one point and found a bunch and fixed them but I picked it up again today and noticed on the right side which is the purl side, you can see a ton of dropped stitches. So I decided to rip it back and now I don't know if I should even try to finish the sweater. Does anyone have a tip on keeping all the strands on the needle? I think it would be easier if they were different colors but I just finished my Ingrid and I didn't have near the problem. Although the Ingrid has texture so I was watching my needles more. Anyway, I'm going to start another slipover while I ponder my life's choices.... lol *edited* I wish all of you the happiest of holidays! Unless I figure out the weekender, I'll be working on another slipover for the rest of the month, as well as a pair of socks. I absolutely adore that snowflake material btw.....
Just watch each stitch as you’re knitting to ensure you are picking up both strands. Occasionally we miss one too. I don’t have any great tips. I think after you make a sweater with 2 strands, it gets easier.

Hello my knitting friends (you don’t know me, but I feel like you are my knitting buddies 🧶😊). For the holidays, I am finishing up a couple of gifts - socks for my grandson (who wants a drawer full of socks made by nana) and my son-in-law as well as putting together the squares I wove for 2 different pillows - one for each of my daughters.
Lovely Rain Chain sweater by drops Claudia. I have had difficulty reading Drops patterns. I wonder if they are translated. Have you found them easy to follow?❤️🧶❤️
Thank you so much for watching. I am finding the drops pattern reasonable to follow but you do kind of need to be able to interpret what they're they're saying. In general they are poorly written. Happy holidays.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Holidays! - Loved today's podcast. Janet, your Wilfreda is gorgeous and it's my sweater for the holidays. I finished it last month - Holst Tides Tudor with a strand of beautiful red mohair. It's a fun knit and such a beautiful sweater.
I'm currently finishing Veronika Lindberg's Cinema sweater (such a comfy sweater) while I wait for a yarn shipment so I can get started on Beth MacDonald Stone's Festive Sparkle Sweater (she's offering it on sale this month - 50% off). I've chosen two blue Drops yarns: Air, and Brushed Alpaca Silk - and, I've chosen an icy blue metallic thread to provide the sparkle.
Time to break out the wine (Spanish reds for me) and enjoy the holiday season. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!

Also a Frankie Brown Ten Stitch Blanket I’ve had on my bucket list for as long as that pattern has been out. I finally purchased the yarn that will do it justice, but I’ve made it 15 stitches instead of ten as I thought the colour changes looked better. Cheers til next time.

Another inspiring episode! Thank you! My knitting for the holidays include two FO's: a Messy Bun Copy Cat hat for my daughter, and while watching your podcast, I finished my husbands annual Christmas socks (plain vanilla pattern). I'm waiting anxiously for a yarn delivery of Lettlopi, to combine with stash, to make the Foraois Mittens for grandson's lovely girlfriend. I'm delighted that as a high school senior, she's a knitter!
Off to find a lurking UFO to work on till mitten yarn arrives.

Hi ladies! For the holidays, I’m knitting a vintage cape for my daughter who loves vintage clothing. It’s from an old knitting magazine she found in a local antique shop. Also, I just started a Field Sweater and I’m really enjoying the grain knitting(sorry, Janet).😂
I have the Antler Toque on my needles for my Dad, I just finished the Friend to Friend Shrug for my Mom, and I also finished a pair of Fingerless Mitts for my Daughter. I also have a pair of socks on my needles. Wishing everyone wonderful Holidays & a Season of Knitting!!

Happy Holidays! I am knitting my Stephen West MKAL shawl 2023 over the holidays. I’m also knitting a cable sweater for dear husband and a love note without the lace for me. Lots of stockinette knitting in the love note for car knitting over the holidays.
I love watching you ladies and seeing the beautiful sweaters you are making! I have appreciated your comments on the Field Sweater as it is in my queue. Hopefully I can accomplish what you have! I am curious how you met and if you knit together as well as your podcast? I became aware of McMullin yarn after Rhinebeck, and they are on my radar for sure!! My HOLIDAYS knitting was slippers for my family, and those are all done. Now I am finishing a sweater and a shawl for myself as well as working on 2 Advent projects. Did any of you order Advent sets? Happy Holidays Ladies! Enjoyed watching your podcast this evening while I worked on the Sunday Cardigan by PetiteKnit for my 5 year old Granddaughter. Am also knitting tiny "elf" clothes which my little one loves to hang on the Christmas Tree. Pretty soon will be casting on the Musselburgh Hat as I live in a very cold climate. You ladies sure do beautiful work!
I started the Mystery Shawl KAL 2023 by Renee Strouts, but I'm forcing myself to hold off until I finish my son's Wheat Scarf by Tin Can Knits. He wants to wear his new black dress coat with his red-trimmed top hat and it will look wonderful with a red scarf for the holidays!
Another joyful episode! During the holidays I am knitting socks for my brothers, who will hopefully appreciate some hand knitting!
For the holidays I have knit 24 dishcloths for each of my children’s family’s. Now I have 16 holiday cheer mini hats by blue sky fibers. I have hubby making the pompous. Then hopefully The Friend to friend shrug to knit for daughter in law.
Couple jabs with a felting needle won't show, but it will splice together the yarn even if it is 100% acrylic. I got curious one day and decided to experiment. Cotton, linen, wool, alpaca, acrylic, bamboo all worked. I think the only thing I didn't try was cashmere (didn't want to waste what I have, especially since it will spit splice without issue) or silk. I've just completed the only project I had planned to make for the holidays and that is the Pacific Kjole from Rauma. It was an adventure because the pattern only comes in Norwegian. I don't speak Norwegian. Google translate doesn't speak crochet. lol

For the holidays, I have knit a Christmas sweater for my granddaughter. I also knit a cradle purse and doll clothes, for the baby in the cradle, for my youngest granddaughter Now I am knitting socks with the Cozy Knitter Advent-loving it. I will also be knitting mitts for the grands, a hat for me and maybe a shawl, over the holidays. You gals had SO many lovely FO’s and WIPS to show- makes me feel like a very slow knitter. I have finished most of my holiday knitting (hats, socks, and mitts) but I am frantically trying to finish sweaters for both of my grandsons. Fingers would be crossed, if I wasn’t busy knitting.
