Hello! Great video as always! I watch all that you make, always love seeing the notification! You're one of my favorite UA-camrs! Even got my brother watching your videos. Would you be willing to answer some questions I have when you get the chance? 1. I'm currently looking for some ATX option Chinese X99, do you have a recommendation? 2. Is the Qiyida E5 A99 a ATX? 3. If it is I'm looking at it along side MR9A, MR9A PRO, and MR9A PRO MAX(this is one is because I like the color red.) 4. As for Xeon I'm looking at, 2680 v4, 2690 v4 and a unlocked 2678 v3, which would you recommend for gaming and very casual video editing? 5. Which is the most power efficient for these tasks? I would once again like to thank you for all the wonderful content you've given me to sink my free time in to! Some times I play you longest video's in the back round just so I can show some support! Regardless if you answer or not have a amazing life of happiness friend!
In general, I would go with Machinist X99-MR9A and E5-2690 V4 but if the price is too high then other CPUs are also good. E5_A99 was just as good under my testing but I tested only one sample while I have had multiple MR9A so I have a bit more confidence in MR9A. Thanks for the support by the way!
🙂 Buddy, Microsoft says that the might disable Windows 11 Updates for platforms that are not officially supported. But I assume if that happens there will be some Hackers out there that will find a way to turn them back on. Or a Server that hosts the updates file where we could download them and side load them unofficially. Some of my thoughts 😸
We will see what is going to happen. For now we have speculations only. As of today, this X99-H9S with TPM2 installed and secure boot enabled meets the official requirements and all the updates are available.
Windows 11 24H2 LTSC IOT - special edition with pretty much the same hardware requirements as Windows 10. No TPM and no CPU generation requirements. Google a little and you will find out what you can do to get it :)
In the MATX form factor that's a good news. I know that it's a different form factor, but overall, do you think is it better or worse than MR9A, considering MR9A have a worse bios but with Huananzi one it gains all and also sleep mode? About TMP, as far as I know Gigabyte one works with some modification on Machinist. So, what's your opinion? Thank you, really appreciate to know your point of view about that. And vs the Qiyida E5-A99?
These two are way too different for direct comparison. Personally I would pick X99-H9S because it has proper TPM2 support but MR9A is the obvious winner if you need better VRM and all the connectivity.
@Miyconst Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback. That's actually what I was thinking too. I'm a computer engineer, I love your videos, you're always on point. Keep it up
No bypasses are needed, with TPM2 installed and Secure Boot enabled, Windows 11 does not complain about anything and is fully supported as of January 31 2025.
Thank you Miyconst, what a great video! Does your Mi899 X99-H9S profile also work on the X99-K9S? Its a white Qiyida slighter cheaper motherboard with the C612 chipset and Asus-14Pin TPM2.0

The TPM module you recommend is FOR MSI boards but it is not FROM MSI. MSI sells 3 different TPM 2.0 modules so which one would you recommend if I prefer to have the "real deal" ? I suspect MS-4136 would be the one because of the type of connector.
@@Miyconst Do you know if the interface is SPI or LPC ? This would help a great deal. I suspect you had one of your TPM module fail because they are low quality clones of the real MSI modules.
Thanks. I would still buy a 12100f along with a cheap H610 Board. Way faster combo, much more recent and not as sketchy. And super cheap right now: Board + CPU ~125€ right now.
Massive thabk you for making the video. Just recently got a 20pin TPM 2.0 module which was supported for my Asus X99 rampage board and works with out issue. My friend asked if he could get that option(he has the X99-P4) on his board i said maybe but unlikely. Il just tell him to get this board and the msi module. (Hes runing a 2643V3 cpu runing 3.6ghz all the time stock with out turbo unlock, so would i need to mod the bios for him or not? The cpu max speed is 3.7ghz)

Hey Miyconst, big fan of the videos. Was wondering what you would do for a G667f0.1 x99 motherboard that boot loops (fans spin for a second then turn off, and repeat). Any help would be very much appreciated thank you!
That sounds like the motherboard BIOS is corrupted or VRM is dead. So, I would try flashing BIOS with a programmer first, if that doesn't help - it's a toast.
Usually ECC RAM delivers better performance and has more room for tuning. Most of the desktop RAM kits are designed to run at 1.35V while Chinese boards supply 1.2V only.

hello miyconst! I just wanted to ask about whether the USB 3.0 header on these chinese motherboards are sturdy now? I bought a huananzhi b75 motherboard over a year ago and everything was good except for the usb 3.0 motherboard header. once I inserted the cable for the front panel usb, I tried removing it but it felt like the header was very flimsy and was going to pull out from the motherboard so I just let it be. have you had any such issues? or maybe it's just a flaw with that specific model?
