I made this yesterday cause I was curious about the hack. I was very pleased with the results.
Your face said it all! You just fell in LOVE with the "heavy cream" rolls over the regular ones...I WILL be trying this recipe just because of your expression...so honest and real 🙂
Hahah... I am ashamed to say we've eaten this quite a few more times since this video. LOL
I poured the heavy whipping cream in between and around the edges of the rolls. Worked great.
From what I have seen, based on those that have done the comparison, the "Grand" cinnamon rolls work better than the regular for this. Also, the rolls with the cream should take a bit longer to cook. If you cooked them at for the same amount of time, the cream rolls were probably a bit under done. That being said, thanks for the comparison video, it was great!
Store brand works perfect. Thanks for the comparison. I enjoyed your real reaction. I make these for Saturday breakfast. ❤❤😊
After pouring the heavy cream in another bowl mix some melted butter and brown sugar and some more cinnamon and pour on top of the cinnamon rolls after pouring the heavy cream and bake for 40 minutes and you will have a very delicious cinnamon roll
I saw a lady who soaked them in the cream overnight. I was looking for her video to make them. I very much appreciate your comparison!
"Everyday of the week" ....and twice on Sunday!🙃 Thank you so much for the comparison!! Now we know!!
Woooow Amazing Recipe a nice Recipe thanks for sharing such a nice Recipe 👍👍👍👍👍 Great job well done 👍👍👍
Thank you for doing this one with the regular rolls. That’s all they had left at the grocery store, and I decided to just go for it.
It might not be the “Grands” version, but it’s nice to see that it will still work with the original one.
Clearly we all know why the Grands were fresh out at every store I went to.
I appreciate seeing the final product and the taste test. Cheers!
LOL Yes... I'm not finding them either these days! Dang tiktok ;)
I've already tried this and it is so much worth it, they are much softer and taste 💯 percent better. What some more tastiness to a cinnamon roll, do this, you'll never go back to just taking them out of the can and bake them.
Thanks for the comparison, I was wondering myself
I've made these no fewer than 5 times since this video. Maybe more, I'm not counting.
I have made these using the Grand Cinnamon Rolls and put brown sugat/cinnemon/melted butter mixture on top and added frosting tub to homemade frosting and they were soooo good. Never been able to make homemade Cinnamon rolls and with this process, don't have to. These are great. Pan looks like a picture when removed from oven. First time making them, thought this is going to be the biggest gummy mess I've ever had to clean up....great just try. Kinda expensive but well worth the expense. Not something you should eat everyday but you would want to....

Daughter and I each ate one and send the other 8 home with her and about 7:30 that evening, texted her to tell her I wanted one of my cinnamon rolls back and since she was about 40 miles away, her reply to me was YOU SNOOZE, YOUSE LOOSE!!! Thankless kids!!!! What are you going to do with them!!! Enjoyed our little chat.
@@anitaminyard4901 Bwahahah! It's better that way. Now you can make them again and NOT share ;) LOL Oh man... these kids.
If it is 400 calories for the cream, that is only 50 calories more for each roll. Thanks for the hack!
The actual Tik Tok hack also adds melted butter & brown sugar to it so maybe an additional 100 calories on top of the 50. If you're only eating ½ - 1 roll, then it's worth it, just as long as you're not eating the entire bunch. I loves me some cinnamon rolls and have been wanting to try this but have been holding out till now.
Fun. Side by side was awesome.
It’s even better with the grands version. It works with any kind but it’s really intended to be done with the grands rolls
I heard the original recipe was with grands, but honestly if they are better than what I made, they are amazing. Cuzz I will never make them another way again. Grand or not! :)
You’re supposed to cover it with Reynolds then bake. They would’ve come out much bigger and softer.
Thank you for the comparison! For whatever reason I'm just now seeing these vids, and I'm craving sugar so I decided to try it out!!! LOVE!!!!!!
I loved your video, new subscriber, I follow you from Mexico City, I look forward to new recipes and I wish you much success.
Always enjoy your videos but especially enjoyed todays! Glad I am not the only one that gets a phrase in their head and can’t self correct it 😂
I use half/half every day... so I think it was just STUCK. LOL
Yum! Luv all your pampered chef products!!
I put chopped pecans on the bottom,a little more cream so it makes a thick syrup when done, then mix melted butter ,brown sugar and cinnamon and spoon over the top before baking..cover with foil and take off the last 10 mins to brown a little…cool and ice ….soooooooo good…I’ve taken them to work 3xs now and they devour them…😂😂😂😂 I’ve used grands and the smaller ones and they are both good…So use what you have or can get…..
How much Brown Sugar, Butter + Cinnamon do you mix up to put overtop of the Rolls?
Made these before and yes they are better. You can also had the brown sugar butter on bottom and then to with heavy cream. My tiktok recipe upped the frosting by adding more cream cheese and a little more powder sugar to make them really over the top!
Oh man, I just gained three pounds reading that.. LOL (takes notes)
Homemade.
I mean not quite but sorta😜 I’m making these this morning…I was gunna split the heavy cream some on bottom and some on top
I wondered if doing that would make a difference, but I was just going for what TikTok was telling me to do ;)
These are my absolute favorite brand/kind of cinnamon rolls (even though it's actually a sweet biscuit that's not even rolled! 😆).
What I'm trying to get to is that I only bake them for 11 mins. 30 seconds. I put aluminum foil on it right out of the oven and wrap it in towels, let sit for 5-10 mins, then I open them up and ice them. It makes all the difference and you'll find they're actually quite similar to the heavy cream ones without the added 400 (😲) calories. 😉
Oh really? I should try it because I looooove cinnamon rolls, but that calorie count... OUCH!
Can you do the same with sweetened condensed milk
I also believe you would have gotten better results if you used a larger pan. You are restricting their expansion. Also might want to get them in a pan amd spray Saran with oil and cover and leave out to rise for 3-4 hours
Delicious 🥰
The cream in the cinnamon rolls changed the game LOVE .❤️...EXTRA CALORIES WHOS COUNTING ? 💃
I'll definitely have to try this. Thanks for doing this video.
P.S. The lack of tact in some of these comments baffles me.
I get low-key traumatized every time I open a pop can of biscuits. So glad to know I'm not alone in fearing the pop 😂
When I was a kid, we would argue over which one of us got to pop the can! It was fun and satisfying!
Do you think it would work with only 1/4 cup instead of 1/2 cup?
May I make a suggestion? I discovered this cinnamon roll hack about four or five months ago, and since then I've made these no less than 8 times. One thing I discovered is the Walmart Great Value Cinnamon Rolls are SOOOOO much tastier than the Pillsbury ones. Yes, they are much smaller, but two cans fills a large casserole dish, and when they bake they puff up and get huge. Also, and this is the most important point I'm making, what REALLY makes these rolls taste amazing is the sauce it creates, so in this case, you really can't have too much of a good thing. So create enough sauce to spoon over the rolls when you're serving them, is I use 1 and 1/4 stick of butter, one whole cup of brown sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of salt and when I pour the heavy cream over the rolls, I pour enough cream to barely cover the tops of the rolls. Don't worry, the rolls are going to more than triple in size and rise well above the level of the sauce anyway. Once you try these you're going to realize you want as much of that sauce as you can get to spoon over top of your cinnamon roll when you're eating them. The sauce is the real magic, so like I said, in this case you truly can't have too much of that good thing. Lastly, I use a large casserole dish and it holds two cans. Before baking I cover the dish with foil, then bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Again, trust me, you'll love them like this. And yes, these are a lot of calories, so if you're trying to lose weight, you've got no business making and eating these anyway.
All the TicTok videos I saw include adding butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
400 calories divided by eight rolls is only 50 more calories per roll.
Yummmmy! Thanks for sharing your honest reaction! I can rely on that verses a silly 30 second Tik Tok reaction! lol I am totally doing this hack now! =)
Can you subsitute heavy cream with milk?
You probably can, but it won't be nearly as decadent. What you can do though is melt a couple tablespoons of butter into your milk and use that ;)
You didnt add the butter/cinnamon topping before you baked them...its yummy.
I'm thinking I need to revisit this adventure and do ALLLL the variations that people have mentioned. That would be epic... and I'd have to invite some friends to test them out so I didn't truly eat them all ;)
Can I come over and help you eat the rest of those cinnamon rolls 😋
LMAO that OH!
do the complete recipe if you want to compare you didn’t do the sugar butter mixture as well
I've only seen the butter sugar mixture on a few of the recipes. The ones I saw were literally just the cream. But man they were still amazing!
Calories? If you're eating a cinamon roll, you're not too worried aboit calories! 😉
The ones with the cream need to be foil covered. Also, they're pouring melted butter with brown sugar & cinnamon over them too. The calories ...😬
You left out the butter and brown sugar
Btw you’re already eating cinnamon rolls which aren’t the healthiest. It’s more a treat so the 400 calories divided 5-6 ways kind of not so important
You're not wrong... but every calorie counts when you count every calorie LOL
YOU DIDNT PUT THE CINNAMON, SUGAR, VANILLA BUTTER DO RIGHT OR NOT AT ALL
Wrong ones
WRONG!!! YOU COOK THE ONE WITH HEAVY CREAM ABOUT 25 MIN LONGER. A GOOD 35-45 MINUTES
Its grands u used the wrong ones
I tried with grands too (after getting comments) and it was exactly the same. JUST DELISH. everyone should add the cream LOL
haha ,calories-SCHmalories...I rarely eat sugar but when I do...I EAT SUGAR:)
Went to the store yesterday and priced this hack. The price was twenty plus dollars with two cans of grands.
You made them wrong. It's the Grand cinnamon roll not the regular ones
😂 they look the same
Right?! I thought the same thing. But the insides were def different. :)
That is not the Tic Toc recipe.
There are soooo many of them roaming around, I just picked the easiest!
Heavy cream is not enough. There's a much different tiktok recipe that was the original and seems so much better than just heavy cream. Going for the original not this one

I hope you can access it. This is the best recipe so far that I found. The extra ingredients make it richer and decadent.
For my cinnamon lover family member I will add more cinnamon. Hope you like it 👍
Used to like those pillsbury rolls, but they have such an awful after taste... cant Believe I liked them in the past. Is just convenience. anyway.
You know what is crazy, when I ate them I thought there was an aftertaste... but the immediate taste was too good lol
Tic tic 🤮🤮
Why on earth could you not at least keep your terminology (half and half vs heavy cream) straight? After all, this IS a cooking channel. See mgutier below for the best recipe.
Because I'm not perfect? Because I'm not a professional? Because I just like having a good time and having fun? Because life is too short! Pick a reason. This is an EVERYDAY cooking adventure channel... one which I screw up and have fun doing it (sometimes). ;)
First you said heavy cream, then you just said half n half. Please clarify....
Yah... on the screen I corrected myself with text but yah... it's heavy cream. However, I have it on good authority you can use all types of milk! So both will work :)
I believe the wrong type of rolls were used.
Wrong rolls or not, they were rather delicious! I think using the bigger rolls just would have been more calories LOL. But this hack is a good one with any of the rolls you use :) Love it!
Grands work the best…2 cans of the Grands. You’re missing the best hack…mix in 1 stick of melted butter, 3/4 cups of light brown sugar, 1 tbs ground cinnamon, pour it all over the rolls cover it up with foil and bake it on 350 for 45 min. Wait about 1-2 min before adding the packaged icing on top
Do you put in your mixture before or after adding the cream? Or doesn’t it matter??
@@dankowalski5340 Pour the heavy cream first.
My arteries just clogged with joy! Thanks for the tip!
I just did this with my regular sized ones. Hope they come out! I couldn’t find grands anywhere due to the holidays.
What size pan??
