Novel Synopsis:
I’ve been married to Michael for two years.
I was obsessed with him.
He hated me.
How much did he hate me?
I got into a car accident, suffering multiple fractures, and stayed in their hospital for six months.
As an orthopedic doctor, he never visited me once.
No one liked me either. Everyone said I was the one who drove Emily away, that I was heartless.
When I first lost the ability to move after the accident, everyone around him felt relieved for him.
"Michael, you finally have some relief."
When I was about to be discharged.
His friends were worried for him.
"Isabella is getting discharged; she’s going to torment Michael again."
Indeed, the first thing I did after being discharged was to find Michael.
But this time, I wasn’t there to cling to him.
I handed him a document instead.
"Michael, this is what you wanted."
"What is it?"
I smiled gracefully.
"Open it and see... Michael, I don’t want the house or the car. I wish you even more success in the future. We’ll never cross paths again."
After handing over the divorce papers, I stepped back and disappeared into the crowd.
A man who truly loves you would never let his partner go through all the pain alone. There is no excuse for his absence. ML never stood up for her with his colleagues or his friends, letting them verbally abuse her. That is not love. He just felt the emptiness of not having someone who loved him unconditionally by his side. Unfortunately he will more than likely slip back to his old habits after she is by his side again.
Tbh I’m kind of annoyed at the ending. There ain’t no way in hell that I’d move back and actually work at that terrible hospital with all the two faced “friends”. It’s not like the ML is any better either 💀
Have you ever lost someone because of someone? It's hard to forgive and move on
She started working there because her husband worked there and ml wasn't that bad. He loved her but had the constant reminder that her father was responsible of what happened to his father, so he had this constant turmoil with no way to vent to anyone which made him become cold and distant.
@@shi_va6754deleted last comment because I misread yours. Are you talking about the husband? Yeah, it’d definitely be hard to move on. But if I were the FL, I just couldn’t stay in a place where I used to be mistreated, even if the mistreatment has “stopped”. It’s too risky to me.
@@shi_va6754 Ya i can understand that....but then why did he marry her and made her the most innocent party hurt in all this??? He should have just left her and moved on... this is not how you treat the person you claim to love
Disgusting. Abandoned her. Made friends verbally abuse her. And a year later she has no self worth. Thumbs down
I too, gave this a THUMBS DOWN.
I mean, it's realistic. After all that happened, was she supposed to feel pride in being left out and misunderstood?
Honestly this story sucked. The FL was pretty stupid to just forgive all the shit that they did to her. She had a much more peaceful life with her cousin at the clinic.
Silent treatment is psychological abuse. Not enough penance. She was innocent. The story is vague about the father's death. Why was he so cold? I don't get it.
Although I prefer divorce ending for scumbag and in this story ML is redeemable scumbag and deserve winning his wife back but there's not enough grovelling and redemption. So he always love her from the start but he's not very active in the relationship to make her feel loved. He chose to marry her but still very cold and "torn". When he already made that decision he should resolve his guilt or whatever he's fighting inside and treat her as his proper wife. And he let his wife being treated badly by their friends and never clarify the rumor? He got it easy in the end cuz wife's guilt for his father erase all his mistreatment to her.
Having trouble following the conflict and I replayed that part several times. Her dad didn't like Michael so they beat his father to get him to leave her alone but he never told her. Married her anyways but treated her coldly? Don't really get it.
As much as I can understand this cultural thingy, he was conflicted between liking her and hating her father so he was cold to her as kind of getting revenge for his father? Story is actually quite a mess and many things don't seem logical. Him liking her and totally rejecting her at the same time? Hard to understand. Only after she was ready to divorce he woke up and started to reflect on own actions and ... ye, I also don't get his way of thinkig... actually...
😂i just laugh with the ending, i would never go back to a man who never care for me for 6 months. Such dignity of that woman can be step always.
True ....
This is a realistic story of how miscommunication, unsettled issues before marriage, past baggage affecting the marriage, and how silent treatment because one got hurt would affect what should be a good relationship. This is a common setting of some of the marriages my husband and I counselled. This might just be a story but this is what real people experienced. Readers love good stories where the lady won through divorce or karma, not understanding or knowing that the real world is somewhat like this story. People like Michael, that are full of painful and unsettled past let their good love gone to waste, are everywhere. It's a good thing that they were able to work their marriage out. I hope many people won't easily go through divorce but would try to work out their marriage first by getting a good counsellor.
I’ve been wanting to hear a tale where the two leads are able to overcome the struggles in which they end together and this FIT. 😊
Although- I don’t believe there was enough scenes of Michael fighting for her (making up), I mean, he put her through a lot; he never told her but chose to marry her and even though he married her he chose to distance himself from her, being busy all the time and giving her the cold shoulder, he allowed rumors to spread in which he never corrected which resulted in co-worker(s) and friend(s) to treat her the same way he did…
A lot of time a part which I suppose was a good thing, to give both of them time to think about their marriage.
I liked this because they overcame the difficulties, forgiveness and moving forward happily. 😊
I'm glad there wasn't any cheating. I get tired of watching cheating MLs. Of course, on those dramas, I'm happy when the FLs leave. This poor FL did everything by herself once she was awake. Where was the ML? He sure as hell wasn't with his wifey. Nit once. She even went through rehab by herself. It just seems that the ML didn't do enough. He just missed having someone next to him. That's all.
@@angelabarbee6901 agree- as soon as cheating and pregnancy is mentioned, I don’t want the couple together… want the one who was betrayed to find someone that truly cherish her or overcomes and finds their self-worth which they move on happily with or without someone by their side because I experienced being cheated on, I know the thoughts and questions that one ask themselves after giving in to give it another chance, turning into someone that you no longer recognize which is turns the relationship into a bigger mess.
I can never see it ending in “happiness” if a lead were willing to give their unfaithful partner another chance so I’m glad that wasn’t a issue here because my opinion would definitely be different. 😅
I don’t know what Michael here was thinking- because of her Father choice and action, a choice and action that she didn’t know, he chose to “hate” her but also still married her! 🙄
I think because of all that she had to endure, the Hospital, the rehabilitation etc. on top of the distain from the Nurses during is also why I believe Michael didn’t do enough to win her back, genuinely- if she didn’t have to endure the hospital, rehabilitation and distain then what he did throughout would’ve probably been enough.
Perfect example of things are not always as we see... And importance of communication... Really nice and complete story... Keep it up writer.. I love happy endings 😊😊
I don't get the negative comments? I read the comments before watching the whole thing and was considering not watching it at first but I'm glad I did watch it. Why are the comments painting the ml as some heartless jerk? What's with the scumbag comments? Do y'all even know what a scumbag is or is it your first time reading/listening a novel? The ML was perfectly fine. The main villains were the dad and half brother of the FL. Why is no one talking about those two? If anything ml is not the one in wrong here. Ml and fl just had a lack of communication at first. This wasn't so bad. I'M GLAD THEY ENDED UP TOGETHER.
but she was innocent in all this....what is this crooked mentality marrying her and still being cold to her??? Loving her and at the same time hating her....if he hated her that much he should have stayed far far away from her and eventually made her father pay...it was never her fault and she didn't deserve this
@Aak7999 where did u get "he hates her?" Like, I think he made it clear at the end that he never hated her? If anything he always had a soft spot for her. And he never actually tried to hurt her either. From the beginning fl thinking her husband hated her was all a misunderstanding. Like, lack of communicationnnn.
Im sorry but it is absolutely unforgivable for a partner to not support someone who has been through that type of horrendous accident, you take wedding vows “ in sickness and in health” and not once in six months to provide help or support. There is absolutely no excuse on this earth for that.
why the heck should he marry her, gave her the cold shoulder, allowed all the rumours against her, allowed their colleagues to treat her as trash, did not even check on her at the hospital where he also worked and heap all the emotional abuse on her because he loved her? that is his love? Sorry, that is not overcoming struggles as the man made "struggles" could have been easily avoided. what was he thinking? unrealistic! also, one year after, his colleagues now treat her as a person? what made them change their mind? a 360 degree change of behaviour and character is unbelievable. What Mrs. Yang told her at the CR is improbable. It is as if Michael is the only doctor in town or in the hospital. The kind of a husband always say that " sorry, i did not realize my feelings in time". So, marry first, do all those abuse on her so he can realize his feelings for her? In real life, the old Michael will resurface (as even in the story, Emily is still beside him) and Isabella will be filing for divorce again. but of course, this is just a story.
It wasn't even her fault. She didn't even know how his family was being treated by her dad because he never told her. He played hard to get the whole time. He knew she was not like the rumours but he never clarified with his peers. Kept her in the cold throughout their marriage and now he wants her to understand he loved her the entire time? Even neglecting her after an accident for which when she's finally leaving he doesn't want her to? Even after getting back together he keeps in contact with Emily. Ugh well this kinda things do happen in real life so not surprised but it's still disappointing.
It's always the women compromising. How infuriating.
Such a cute love story!!
There is no way in hell i would accept someone who didn't even there for me in my emergency
It's laughable really he is now caring about her sprained ankle but was never there for her during her rehab
Story is some how decent, but the excuse what ml make are totally out of mind, and the cold demeanor persona totally changed is also a flaw, the Emily angle had to be more edge. The whole friend group need a savage reply as a tight slap by fl.
Honestly, it looks to me like all these people in the comments made their own interpretations of the story and judged it based on them.
Everyone just hurting each others... whats the point to stick together?
Подруга запросила її на весілля. "У мене не багато друзів" сказала подруга. І запросила її колишнього чоловіка з супутницею... Я б таку людину "подругою" не називала. Це огидно.
I think her groom is friends with Michael and the third hospital, that’s why she invited them.
First of all with the negative comments did you miss the part where the heads wife told her about how he sat beside her bed every night while she was in a coma. 2nd so he's not perfect, but they love each other and after what her family did to him and his father most people would harbor hatred, so he was pulled in two directions. 3rd it's amazing they came out still in love enough to forgive each other and the family enough to have a happy ending.
Shouldn't one weigh the past with the present and future and look to a happy future as opposed to a bitter past. Which is more important a happy future or a sad, lonely bitter one hating the family and the love or your life.
As for him changing again I don't agree. He never loved Emily. It was all one sided on her part to try and snatch him away from her. She may have come back but she is unhirable at any of the prestigious hospitals.
Personally I'm glad they have a happy ending and future and are expecting their first child.
Ikr?? I really don't get the negative comments. This ml was one of the most mature and decent ml's I've ever come across.
Please make some love stories with good ending 😊
What happened to ML was tragic, but the way he treated the FL and all she went through wasn’t worth them reuniting.
Whatever the majority of commenters say,it's not always about abandonment. Relationships go through so many wave tides of problems and misunderstanding, if we can't resolve it in time and communicate or make terms with it then is the real problem. Too much ego destroys relationships and too much less ruins a person so it should be balanced. Without the whole plot and the background,I would always vote for tough women but we can't always look at the negative things when love and care are much stronger.
So personally I very much like this story rather than the story with jerks treating partners coldly, cruelly then after divorce,if the partner contacts they would humiliate by saying I look down upon you and when they realise nobody is there devoted for them like their ex partners or see them with other men and would be jealous and regret saying 'I had always loved you' my foot
For me a happy ending matters whether it is by the characters being at peace on its own, achieving their goals and success, finding the right person or working on the misunderstanding
Awesome story thank-you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i can’t get over the minion 😂😂😂😂
Im angry with ML originally but later on Im glad they were back together because I understand what he has gone thru. He was also fortunate that his wife is forgiving. Emily is not even a side piece or 1st love.
Wow! He really loved her! She was in a coma for 40 days and nearly died, and he visited NEVER.
He visited but didn’t talk and just sat there. He was with her in hospital all the time that’s why apartment was empty. It was all misunderstanding and miscommunication
Yeah and also ..... He never help her and he always go after and protect his mistress ... His friends make fun of her
But rather than sleeping beside me in icu i would prefer my partner to be with me for rehab....thats the harder part for people with fractures
What is the name of this story is it a manga , novel or anime?
awwww :) such a beautiful love story. True love, overcoming all obstacles. Very rare. Love it.
This was a pretty good story, wasn't expecting them to stay together to the end with how these stories usually goes. I can understand his reaction to her being cold and distant, what really saved the marriage was that he did come and stay with her during her hospital stay and shown that he did care a lot. Probably why he never told her about his father is because she would probably have the same reaction as she did once she learned about it and could have divorced him a lot earlier.
I hope the asshole class at least feels a bit bad when they learned the truth and the bitch that changed her needles should apologize for her behavior.
I like that they added that cliché line on the phone where the bitch said she was scared and wanted him to come. Usually it happens at the start of the story where he abandons her which is one of the last straws before fl divorce the cheating husband. So by showing it at the end and showing his reaction, it shows that he choose differently then other ml's and stay loyal.
Awww.....this one was so sweet ❤❤❤❤❤
It's so annoying. Can't Isabela just suit for divorce?
Finally ❤ a great ending 🎉
The ML coldness was due to the FL father's and childhood's friend deed. The ML having internal conflict because these two deeds have impacted him and his late father in the past. He loved the wife but at the same time he was unable to face his deceased father. The FL doesn't know about this and once she know it, she became very guilty. While the friends and colleagues just wanted to laugh at others, due to Emily's doing. Some male doesn't know how to explain things and cause deeper misunderstandings. Eventually both of them ended with a happy ending.
Good story. Good ending.
What? Did they reconcile? M not listening anymore... 👎
