I have a situation, my new firepit requires 240k and it is 60’ away from meter. The current pipe line is as follows-from gas meter 1” pipe size for 50’ distance and then branch out for 1/2” size for next 10’ distance to fire pit.Does this current pipe system would be good enough for 240k btu firepit?
Seem to be several mistakes in this explanation. Kind of hybridized the branch and longest length methods. Fireplace and boiler line sizes are incorrect for branch method.
The first 8ft in those calculations is the distance up to the garage ceiling. It is not drawn in the floor plan, but is noted on the drawing on the left side.
And how different are the gas pipe sizes when using the longest length method?

my incoming pressure is 7 and my tankless water heater is good to 5 so can i use a smaller pipe by using a 2 " pressure drop instead of 0.3"?
What about when using a different gravity?

where did you get the 8'?
