The reason I fell in love with the virgin river show is because of the simplicity, nature and pureness of the show and I hope writers don't turn the character toxic and show, there was always drama but it was controlled to a less toxic level and not two much curve balls throwing around in the show. ( Believeables Ones) There was always one or two which was appreciated in my opinion.
I like the ups and downs in their relationship like I think it's quite realistic, but the paternity thing? please. That's a stretch cos she made the decision so fast. Like if they'd been apart for a while. Like several months at least it'd be more believable. But 2 days? Really?
I think she was pregnant before she left for LA. She was showing signs when Jack mentioned something about her looking tired that morning before and also she was really emotional when Doc told her about his illness. They seem to be giving away the clues then. Watch in the beginning of season 4 she goes for a ultrasound and finds out she is farther then what she thought and finds out it’s Jacks right away. Fingers crossed!
I really hope that this is the case 🙏 However, surely they would have done a pregnancy test at the clinic before she had the embryo procedure? I know its not reality but let's hope this is an oversight of the writers and the baby is Jack's. They've been through too much now to keep having added drama. Can't the Charmaine/custody drama and house/money issues be enough and Jack and Mel, as a couple, catch a break S4? X
@@carolineeley7731 Could have done a pregnancy test at her fertility clinic, but...her test result from Grace Valley is really low. It's possible that the test at the clinic could have been negative at that time. But I do think the show is emphasizing her clinic visit and makeup sex with Jack being so close together, making it impossible for Mel to determine the origin. It is, after all, a soap opera. Also, what are the chances of another miscarriage for Mel, esp if it's a result of the IVF? Possible with that low hcG test result. Asking for a friend.
The endless drama is tedious. Season 4: 1. Wrap up this Paige storyline. Enough already and give Preacher a decent love interest. 😴😴 2. I am not here for endless teenage angst. 🙄 3. Charmaine should have been further along in her pregnancy. At that rate we will have to wait until season 10 for her to give birth.🙄🙄 4. This may not be popular, but I am kind of feeling for Muriel. The desperation is real.😬😥 5. I am side eying Mike.👀 6. If Mel is pregnant with her dead husband's baby, I 👏am👏 out👏.
@@kubuligal2431 . Agreed. The best part of season 3 is that Hope was essentially absent. Amazing, Jack's drinking problem and PTSD went completely away in time span of 3 weeks.
It seems fans aren't happy if Mel is pregnant with Mark child and I am with them 100%. I truly believe maturity concerning Mel pregnancy is just for drama and arguing amongst fandom. No one is watching Virgin river to see Mel pregnant with her dead husband child, there no other explanation than that piece of writing is for drama. I pray God in season 4 the writer clear up this mess for three or two ep.
I think they've done it to like break them apart for more drama or whatever. But I just want a happy ending okay. Charmaine's with Todd now so at least we don't have to worry about her interfering. Just want the twins not to be Jacks now.
Yeah and clear it up right away. I hate the fact that Jack is struggling with money, in the books he has lots of money. All the years in The service he set all war time bonuses and reenlist bonus home and it was Invested and he has an update from his father when he takes Mel home to met his parents, especially his mother, Jack has told Mel his mother would love her and maybe she would get to met her someday and Mel says maybe. That was the night after the picnic and he brought over the marbles. So let that be the case. Mel is already wealthy from Mark’s insurance, house, and all of his investments. That is how she was able to set up a trust for Tara and Lilly’s baby. So that would sure add to the story of how he can rebuild his house. He needs to find some land on the back of a mountain or farm and build the house for Mel like, she always dreamed of. In the books he did. And the military investment his parents invested set him up for life and too. So so sweet a story line, that would make Jack and Mel completely able to step into Doc and Hope’s place as town leaders as Doc and Hope are up In Years and sick. I hope Jack and Me buy the cabin. There appears to be smaller cabins in the background of the cabin driveway. Maybe that is something Jack and Mel could develop to increase the bed space for visitors, since there is nothing much to accommodate the hunters, fishermen. The writer need to make sure they move on and follow the book more closely.
@@janiceking6419 Thanks for this summary. 👍😍 If the writers stick with the script future seasons will be promising. Right now they are going off the boil and they will lose an audience. At least me for sure.
I was so hoping Mel would have overheard Charmaine's name at the fertility clinic and we find out that the twins are not Jack's. Love the start of Jack and Mel's relationship but the twists and turns are too much. They need some happiness; writers need to steer the story back to a good ol love story.
Think we were all (or at least most of us) hoping that Charmaines babies weren't Jacks. Yeah the story needs to settle down a bit, less twists and turns. x
Agree that the acting is great, and Mel and Jack are superb, but the storylines make no sense…how long did she visit her sister…maybe a few days??? In what world could she have gone to the fertility clinic and gotten the embryos implanted that quickly? Without giving her any hormones in advance? Without timing her cycle? Seriously doesn’t make sense.
I sure hope season 4 picks up at the same scene when season 3 ended when Jack tries to propose. I was very disappointed at the beginning of season 3 that they didn’t show hospital scenes with Mel there attending to Jack. Love the show so very much!!! ❤️
You have to admit though that there are a lot of cheesy parts. Doc cones across as a fool because he allows Hope to verbally and mentally abuse him for 20 years, yet still loves her. It's similar to a battered wife situation. From the time of Jack's shooting to season 3, is only a 3 week time span. That was made stated in the first episode of season 3 when Jack is standing at the grill and Mel approaches him. Yet he is lifting heavy crates of liquor. Did you notice Jack's bullet wound when Doc does his exam? It's just a round bullet hike shaped scar . It should have been an incision site. Jack's drinking problem and PTSD went completely away. Charmaine met, feel in love and got engaged in just a three week time frame. She's so annoying and that would never happen. Why doesn't Mel run anymore? That was a huge part of the other seasons. Her flashbacks pretty much went away also. I think Alexander Breckinridge is really pregnant. Her face is fuller and she wore baggy shirts throughout season 3. Thankfully, we didn't have to hear the phrase, " be honest with yourself" though in this season. The story line has potential, but it feels like they rush through filming and it ends up being cheesy.
I don’t know what the writers are even doing with s3 but it’s a hot mess. Charmaine doesn’t even look pregnant, she should be on the verge of having the twins. I already don’t like that she’s having Jack’s kids but to drag out her pregnancy is a bore and annoying.
Many people think thats not Jack's kids. She just dragging Jack to give her own benefit. And i suspect she is the one who burn Jack's house and Shot him 🧐🤷♀️ something weird about Charmaine tho, even in every conversation she had with Jack about the twins, her opinion is kinda sus.
@@nakamotoyuta5636 . I’ve always thought it would have been a good plot twist if Charmaine had shot jack also. That way she would go to prison, then jack and Mel would raise the twins.
Melanie. Season three only takes place 3 weeks after jack was shot. Stupidly, in season 2, they had Charmaine doing a way to premature “birth plan” when she was roughly 6 weeks pregnant. I went back and watched the season again to try to work out a timeline on her pregnancy because it just didn’t seem right. So, in season 3, she’s only about 9 weeks pregnant. In a few scenes, she looks a little pregnant. That also means that stupidly, they have her meeting a man, falling in love or lust, with a man and getting engaged all in a three weeks time span. She was looking for a baby daddy. She’s to annoying for that to happen. Lol I think Alexandra Breckinridge is really pregnant though. She wore oversized shirts throughout the entire 3rd season and appears to have a slightly fuller face. In some shots, when her shirt is flush with her abdomen, it looks enlarged. Go back and check it out.
Girl, say it again. I was really disappointed. Usually I would re-watch the season right away. I can't even conjure up the strength to watch season 3 again. Season 3 could have ended with Charmaine having the twins and DNA results would be the cliffhanger. Don't even get me started on the whole Preacher/Paige issue. It is tedious they need to put an end to it at the top of season 4 episode 1. Send Ricky of to the military and Lizzie to college. If I want to watch teenagers go through it, I can watch my own kids.
I love to see the two of them together. I hope the child is his. I know how it feels to lose a child and then wanting another. Her decision was out of longing and I guess disappointment. I believe the child is his. Remember in the other episodes she was always eating. She did not spend so much time away to be pregnant si fast.. writers don't change these two characters and make sure they are together. Love it. Can't wait for season 4
Thank you for saying, Many fans like the show because drama controlled and make sense. The writers mess up season 3. I pray for the season 4 to clean up the mess of the writing.
Jack need to be the father of mel's baby. Both of them suffered too much. They need some peaceful love now. I don't know why they did that to preacher. He should be be able to protect Christopher while paige is away. I would like to see the writer give a life lesson to Chaimaine for all the drama she caused. Anyway Hope need to come back in one piece. I am waiting for the twist in my thinking way.
I have a feeling the baby is Jack’s. And i hope it is. Mel did have symptoms of being preg right from the start. I just think she didn’t realize it. I hope the writers won’t mess up and give them the ending they deserve. Jack needs to feel like a father. Unlike how Charmaine is treating him with the so called ‘fiance’ 😡. Ughhh!!
I was think she had pregnancy signs before they broke up to. However wouldn't a Fertility clinic check to see if a client is pregnant before doing implantation just cause if not then the procedure could maybe hurt the baby she is already pregnant with. I mean I agree that she was showing signs before. Just saying it makes no sense the clinic story cause they would check first wouldn't they.
Thanks netflix you guys gone done good you have us hanging by our teeth....... I enjoyed every minute. The pregnancy was inevitable, lets not break the guys heart let something good happen for him.
IDK about Mel, but I want to know why Jack has never asked for a paternity test on the twins Charmaine is carrying! They made a point early on in the show that Jack and her were not in a committed relationship-so she could have been with someone else.
I wondered if it was possible that the idea of not being Mel's babies father could put the idea in Jack's head that he might not be Charmaine's twins father. And he asks for a paternity test for both? Maybe. Just a thought.
@@projectshipped3604 I feel like at first he would but then with Mel when it's all said and done he really wouldn't care because he loves her. Maybe she will be the one who wants to really know just to know for sure who the father is. I feel like after Jack gets over the shock and possibly hurt feelings knowing he kind of pushed her into the Fertility option with the break up all he will care about in the end in Mel and the baby; although I'm sure he would prefer it to be his child I think he would love Mel and the baby no matter what. But even saying that I think they baby is Jack's. I think she might have already been pregnant for visiting her sister and she just didn't know.
There was a line in season 2 that has always bothered me when Jack was fixing Charmaine's sink. She said to him, "I will marry the twins' father". If the twins were Jack's, shouldn't the line be "I will marry you as the twins' father"? Just saying...
I'm thinking his custody attorney will see to the paternity test, if only as a matter of routine practice. A fanfic left field idea is that someone - Mel, Jack or Doc- will discover a letter from Charmaine's fertility clinic, or the clinic will phone Doc's office for f/u info on Charmaine. Guessing she quit her first doctor for Doc for a reason besides an attempt to stay close to Jack in Virgin River. I say IVF over another lover for Charmaine 'cos she obviously thought she and Jack were in a committed relationship. Listen to S1 comments by Hope, Preacher and Paige and the story tells us that Jack liked the ladies. Charmaine realized at some point that he would not be in it forever so she found a way to try to keep him. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. LOL
Honestly, I don't know who told the writers they need to take this show into this path, clear base on fans comments they are unhappy with the writing of season 3, there were lots of errors in writing and it made no sense. I could point it all out. I pray they have 4 seasons to clear up the mess of writing. I watched the 1&2 two enjoyed it but season 3 hard to considering the amount of questions fans have in their heads. I still love the Virgin river, I am a big fan of Mel and Jack.
Agreed. Season 3 was a BIG disappointment. Superficial. Soap opera. Story lines pretty unrealistic. Mel not giving time to Jack to process all the bad stuff that has happened to him, asking him for a baby while his twins are not even born, and then quick, quick, go to the fertility clinic and try to get pregnant from her deceased husband ? In, what, less than two months after having told Jack that she loves him ? She couldn't give him some time ? What kind of love is this ?!!!! Ridiculous scenario especially because of the time line. Charmaine meeting a guy and getting married within a few weeks !!! Not impossible in real life, but still... As for Lily's being terminally ill but looking just like she had a bad flu, and dying calmly in her sleep ? My mom died from stomach cancer, and I promise you, she looked much more weak and ill in the end. I felt kind of insulted seeing the way they treated the subject so unrealistically. Season 3 lacked the depth of the first two seasons. Lacked the humor. Lacked the intensity. Lacked almost any references to the medical work of Doc and Mel. Lizzy and Ricky: boring. Preacher becoming director of the play for the children: one scene and no follow-up (would have been fun to see Muriel with the kids). Nothing on Jack's PTSD, or what looks like an alcool problem. And what NONSENSE that Brady was in control of the Emerald Lumber Company ? Calvin gave him control ? After knowing that Brady hadn't killed Spencer ? Doesn't make sense and is certainly contradictory with Season 2. I guess they wanted to create a new story line about Brady having financial difficulties ? I could go on and on... Really soapy, lazy writing work. The actors who play Mel, Jack, Doc are great and did the best with what they were given. But compared to the first two seasons, Season 3 was such a disappointment.
i think the worse is... change the couple Brie-Mike to Brie and Brady ??!!!???!!! what the heck... i read all the books to see now that brie falls inlove with brady and not mike, and NOT THAT ALL, mike is the villian of the story??? OH MY GOODNESS WHAT HAPPEN HERE? jack and mel is turning their relationship into a circus?!!! I CAN'T i can't
I'm a fan of Jack and Mel. Hate all the drama behind it all. I hate Char's character. I really don't know where these characters go from here. Season 1 and 2 had Mel adjusting to small town life and her job. The development of Mel and Jack was awesome. I'm not emotional about any of the other characters either. No more violent drams please
I hope it's Jacks. But at the same time it's also cute if it's Marks - because like Joey said it's a way for him to live on. But I just want Mel and Jack to be happy. x
It's a soap opera. Their DNA is to manufacture drama where there is none. Relax and enjoy the ride. I've broken my 'never watch a soap opera' rule because these characters are so endearing.
@@sherikay1207 It's just a bit disappointing as the first two series were so different and very un soap opera like. It seems as the shows popularity has grown the writers have succumbed to the pressure of having to have unrealistic drama at every turn. Feel the show has lost its way and lost it slow burn drama charm z
Jack better be accepting of what she has to say about the pregnancy, she has accepted Charmaine e and the whole mess there and he really broke her heart, even though he was trying to do the right thing, that is the reason she did what she did. Plus he promised really double promised he would never walk away from her again also he would never give up on them ever.
Rhona Roth series producer said in an interview with author Robyn Carr that the stories would end how the author wanted it.That to me says that Jack and Mel will have a happy ending.I think when Annette O'tool was unable to take part in person a lot of changes had to be made including a 2 part story of Hope & Doc's remarriage celebrations.I understand that made a lot of problems and so i will forgive any glitches which were in series 3.We all love the characters and Mel & Jack's great 'chemistry'.Looking forward to series 4, all will be well .
I believe people really dislike Hope and they chose to write her out. Go on to the IMDB site and read the comments. The other idea going around UA-cam is that Annette was unable to rejoin the cast due to Covid restrictions.
I always thought that as well. She goes to prison for attempted murder and that frees up Jack and Mel to not only be together, but to raise the babies also.
Either way, I think Jack would be okay if she tells him about the two embryos that were left from when she and Mark were trying to get pregnant. He knows how hard it was for Mel to move on from Mark, and if she says something along the lines of what her sister said about having a piece of Mark live on, I think Jack would be very understanding. But I also think that Mel may have been pregnant prior to leaving for LA.
I think it would be an insult to the books if the kid ends up being Marks. For this reason I think they’re going to honor the books and it will be Jacks. They’d piss off waaayyy too many people if they didn’t. You don’t want to do that to your audience.
@@myrnajohn7149 agree. Jacks happy when she gets pregnant. He thinks she’s the hottest pregnant woman he’s ever seen and can barely keep his hands off her.
We want season 4 now and continued episodes forever 💖💖Season 1 was the best, Jack n Mel loving and supporting each other, we want Hope Dr Preacher Page Christopher
The writers crafted such a beautiful character of Mel and then the ending was like a slap in the face. Her decision was so fast to go to the fertility clinic, it was out of character (remember it took her months to buy a pan). Now if you go back and watch the first 3 episodes, you start to notice, she is tired and emotional (possibly pregnant) and it starts to make sense (I think). Maybe her statement of "not sure who the father is" is a way to let Jack out. Dang it, we all want them to be together so heads up writing staff, make it so!!
This happens when writers are forced to write rubbish just because the series has been renewed for another season. I wonder how long stayed in LA. Mel and got pregnant in pre-existing fetuses without any preparation?
That would be good and make sense. This scene looks like fake scenery/computer graphics when all other shots of mountains appear real. Maybe it's because it's a dream. 🤞🏻
season 3 was weird... i started watching the show bc it seems to be normal without overly dramatic and unrealistic scenarios but after watching the last season im not sure anymore...
Someone has said Charmaine was pregnant In the books but she wasn’t she was a 50 ish year old women with grown children and a bar maid, Jack went to see maybe couple times a month. Totally wrong. There was a women in the the book Second Chance that tried to trap one of Jack’s marines, Paul, when he was getting ready to marry Vanny, but when Paul insisted he going with her to the doctor for sonogram and DNA she told him it wasn’t his. Jack needs to do that to follow thru with the story line of Paul,Terry and Vanny.
It might be she is pregnant, hungry after the fire, weepy with doc, the letter from Stacie, emotional even if it was understandable. I would have gotten angry. She looked tired, and sleepy, wouldn’t or couldn’t eat, Jack was concerned.
There has to be a series 4 after the climax of series 3. The climax of series 3 ended on a sour not for every character . . . WOW . . . Not sure if I have watched a more depressing series? Given the timings Jack has to be the father :)
Season 3 was a disappointment. The story didn’t move forward at all. The acting was pretty mediocre. Hope things improve in Season 4. What a shame the whole cosy feel of Virgin River was not there
@@alexisdal i watched it all over again and enjoyed it much more this time. The writers are trying to develop each character and I suppose we need to need to be patient. Waiting for season 4
The father of Mel baby is either Jack or Mark her husband. I bet my money on Jack, but if is not Jack baby, I still think jack will support Mel because he loves her.
Una escena maravillosa y conmemora una noticia muy hermosa para reforzar su amor con mucha inquietud pero con la seguridad de su gran cariño felicitaciones.
what's with these writers , evry ending season , its always mel coming back from l.a with a huge drama, and if it' isn't jack baby im gonna drop this one, cause its just doesn't make any sense , all those moments that happened between jack and mel will be trown off , and back again to her deceased husband, like wtf? what was all about this for then ? . .
I'd love the irony that Charmaine's twins are the result of IVF (thus...twins), which she hasn't revealed and Mel's is a result of Jack, and she will reveal her IVF treatment. Another concern about this 'cliffhanger' is whether or not Jack walks away again, after spending so much energy saying he never would.
I think he might. I mean I hope he doesn't but he seems to be a little hotheaded and reacts first thinks later. I can even see him being a bit angry tbh.
@L D My first reaction is to agree. Now I have another thought: seeing Mel wincing as she prepares to sleep in this episode I wonder if she's already starting to miscarry. It's so early in her pregnancy, she's miscarried previously during her IVF and it would give the storyline an out that she'll be completely done with Mark and she and Jack can make their own plans. Of course Jack would have to stay, maybe even marry. Just thinking out loud.....
@@jasminethuo5605 Just imagining, or predicting, that Charmaine's pregnancy is the result of artificial insemination, it's not in an episode....(yet). Guessing that since Mel's already told Jack the kid may not be his, she'll have to reveal to him what she did in LA. Anybody's guess how long it'll take these writers to get there, but she'll have to tell him sooner or later.
I know they were doing it to make season 4 interesting but I honestly don’t think this was the right way…I get why she did it i mean she wanted to be a mum Jack didn’t want another baby and Joey supported her decision but it rather complicates things a lot as I’m sure the majority of season 4 will now be focused on who the father is and there’s only 10 episodes which is disappointing because at least 5 will be focused on who the father is and there’s still the possibility that Jack will be upset knowing him and feel hurt by what happened (even though he really shouldn’t be as it was his decision to break things off)idk personally don’t think it was wise for the writers as I loved Virgin river for its genuine nature and simplicity with occasional drama…but these large cliffhangers are killing me because we’re probably going to have to wait at least a year for season 4
Yeah and we still have the drama of who shot Jack. And that was made out to be a whole big deal in the last season cliff hanger but then mostly glossed over this time? Like one dramatic situation at a time. Please! x
@@projectshipped3604 true and Brady was apparently framed so now we have that piece of drama and still don’t know who shot Jack so I feel like if they don’t figure it all out season 4 will be all over the place and they could easily ruin it and I mean Charmaine isn’t even showing yet so there still could be some drama to come there as well as Brie and to find out what Brady was saying about mike it’s all a lot to take in at once
@@theoriginalrhc4392 I got really weird vibes off Mike. Like a part of me thinks did he shoot Jack? Maybe he's the one framing Brady. It'd be a plot twist x
@@projectshipped3604 and Brady said he knew what Mike did in Iraq which would give him a reason to frame Brady…what did you think of the preacher and Christopher ending of season 3?
I was bored with Season 3 but stayed dedicated because I enjoyed 1 and 2. Writers don't get slack. Step your game up on season 4. I'm tired of the dragging they are doing with Charmaine and Jack...let it go and start something fresh. That brief break up between Jack and Mel was just something to do to have people's face drop but I was not impressed. It was forced, now a cliff hanger of finding out who the hell she has been with. So is the bar going to be called Jack & Preach's now! They gave preach the wrong story and his sudden commitment to Paige. Jack it make sense because they are military buddies and have a long history. Annoying as Hope is, I think people felt that hit of her being missing. She wasn't around to stir the pot and be in everyone's business so it took away a certain drama, I think they did an awful job trying to hide the situation with the actress. I think they should have just kept the story of her visiting her aunt and got stuck there and consistently showed face time calls more instead writing her to being on her way back..not liking her rental and then end up in hospital in which we never see her there...that was pretty bad. I think they are overdoing it and treating the women pretty bad with these pregnancy stories...who is going to be pregnant next. Charmaine was enough because she is already crazy and the best thing they could've done was make her completely pyscho instead of this whole twins storyline. Jack's sister...miscarriage. Now Mel! I mean damn, can any of the women go through anything without pregnancy. Now is going to be a whole story dragged about who is Mel's baby daddy, the whole town praising her because they will be so happy for her and Jack who both are like Mother Teresa and Jesus in everybody eyes. Doc will be the first to know who the father is, if it's not Jack's outside of Jack...she will trust doc, but when Hope heals and return, doc will let it slip about Mel's baby and Hope will be responsible for the whole town knowing which will be doc's betrayal of confidentiality that Mel betrayed first. That damn Muriel keeps me watching. She is slick as hell...love her. Keep her coming please. They need to let Jack be the one to find Preach and Brady with him because Jack and Brady need to figure things out...when he gets out of jail.
Im so in love with this show its just amazing and i love jack and mel their relationship, but mel must be pregnant from Jack cuz who else? mark ? no i dont think so... , and Charmaine is late ineed w her pregnancy and stuff, but i cant wait for season 4 !!
Just finished watching season 3. Did not like it. The season should be named "I'm so sorry, you are not alone in this". Lost count the number of times this line was used and yes, it was overdone. Stick a fork in it. Note to the writers. Think about the viewers for just a moment. 2020 was a terrible year with the pandemic and social unrest. It really sucked. Virgin River season 1 & 2 were great as an escape. Now comes season 3 and it's one tragedy after another, all happening in this paradise. Including the lead characters, Jack & Mel, who were the anchors, or the pillars of the series going to pieces. Not really what fans want to see. If they want to see chaos and get depressed they can just turn on the TV and watch the talking heads or Fauci tell you how Covid (now Delta) will kill you and to wear a face mask everywhere indefinitely.
I think she said she doesn’t know if he is the father, because she did the embryos implant the morning because she went back to virgin river, and then that night she was with Jack .. then we got the ten days later time frame .. but hopefully she got pregnant before that … I really hope is Jacks baby and not Marks
The whole thing is ridiculous. So she was conveniently ovulating when she decided to have the embryo put in? It’s very unrealistic. Plus she had previously told Jack she couldn’t get pregnant after her still birth which was why she was upset Charmaine was pregnant.
I disappointed in the writing of season 3. There were many stories that did make sense. Jack married and never tell Mel and he like honesty. Why hell jack should still be competing with Mel dead Husband, if she going to move on let her. The whole pregnancy issue, I don't know who is the father was the problem, why can the baby be Jack. Jack sister Brai was sexually assaulted and has anxiety, Why hell is she having sex all time, should not she be traumatized by the experience. She went after Brady. , There lot more they write that did not make sense. I pray for a season four to clean up the writing mess.
The writing this series was crap. Jack started calling Mel ‘babe’ when he didn’t in previous two seasons. Charmaine handed the dog to Jack who left it and rushed to Lilly’s and the dog was never seen again not at the bar or Mel’s house?! It was a disappointing season but I still love Jack and Mel!
Why should Mel as a woman have to except the fact that Jack is having twins with somebody else, and not willing to give her a baby. I applaud her for going after what she wants. If you wait around for a man or anybody else to help you make a decision then nothing may happen especially something you really want.
@@dorissmathers19 Jack's decision baffling to be sure, but it is a plot twist added by VR writers to increase the soap opera drama quotient, if only for a couple of eps and to provide a critical cliffhanger. He came around in the end. As for the twins, I still believe we'll find out they aren't Jack's. Either through his custody attorney's demands or an act of cruelty on the part of Charmaine/Todd, but however it's revealed, the writers will drag it out. Stay tuned.
They better do something and let us know right away I. Season 4 that the baby is Jack or I will stop watching. And I love this show. How in God’s name can these writers and Sue Tenney put Jack through this. He went through 5 wars wounded numerous times and they just keep inflicting pain is cruel. Charmaine was more than enough and now a former wife, to show up and cause havoc, or a kid that is suppose to be his. Martin said he about spat out his coffee when he read the script and found out about a supposedly ex wife. This is disgusting In my book. Just let them have a baby of their own and become the leaders of Virgin River as Doc and Hope have always been, but now are getting on in years and Ill. Give Jack and Mel a breather here I for one am sick of the trauma. Having said all of that I love the LOVE they have for each other their wounded hearts found each other and deserve to be happy.
Yes jack said in the end of season 2 that he realise that he can not live his life with out Mel, & then the break up. I think Sue Tenny is not going back to the story here. I said it is very disappointing & I stick to the love story in the book. So I would rather read the book & be happy. At least I know the ending in the book with a lot of good characters like Dr Cam joining the practice & Mel & Jack the pillar of Virgin River.
Doc has some Grandson out there. He looks to be of a different culture. Dod Doc have some affair while married to Hope. I hated the ending. Hope will probably survive. We'll see
I hope so because her being that impatient would make her character annoying lol. I didn't like that they did that with her . That's something they could do with Charmaine but not Mel. Didn't she say she didn't want to have her late husband's child because if how depressed she would be? Ugh 😫 It's gotta be Jack's baby. This entire scene made me lose respect for Mel's character. I know it's just a story but ... Time to write my fanfiction lol
I am a huge Virgin River fan. Unfortunately season 3 seems like a filler season. There were flaws and the biggest one is Jack walking away from Mel just cause he can’t take responsibility of two families simultaneously. Is he the same Jack who kept saying his feelings would never change come what may. How easily he gave up. Sorry but this is something I can’t digest esp when it comes to Jack. He’s my most fav character & he’s been so consistent throughout season 1&2. And I’m gonna riot if makers tried to show the baby as Mark’s. In books, Mel was pregnant with Jack’s child. If they try to ruin this just to bring some twist, then this is gonna be really disappointing. And this whole Charmaine chapter, twins, custody..honestly it wasn’t even required. This element is added unnecessarily just to keep Charmaine an integral part in Jack’s life…she isn’t adding any purpose to the storyline. It was a good season but definitely not something I expected.
@@projectshipped3604 yeah hoping for the best. The story was going at snail’s pace & suddenly they brought all the twists and turns in episode 10. At least they should have built some foundations for those twists throughout to build up the suspense.
@@projectshipped3604 I don't see how this storyline can last. We need a nice calm Virgin River. Cut out the dark side of this community. Have strong character development then we might see a come back. This show doesn't have more legs for me. Doc is old and he's ready for retirement. If Mel and Jack have a baby of their own that's the end of their story. Brie and Brady just have sex. It's boring
With Charmaine having so much screen time I wonder if she has some kind of contract that she has to be on screen most of the show; she has definitely ruined it for me; I usually fast forward during her appearances.
I hope it’s Marks baby! It’s only fair, since Jack is having twins with somebody else, and had broke up with Mel. Then he would have to understand what it’s like to have to take on somebody else’s child and everything that comes with it. Mel was going to except everything that came with Jack.
@Pizza Gaming Mel never said she was involved with someone else and there was no indication. It makes no sense. Mel was mess up all time and she sleeps with a random guy. unbelievable.
It's between Mark and Jack. And it's possibly Marks because she went to get fertility treatment during their breakup when she returned to LA for Joey's Divorce hearing.
I love these characters, but the writers butchered this ending into a choppy soap opera gotcha line that is unfair to the actors. When you have a popular show they need better writing. That whole Jack breaking things off with Mel then her taking him back so soon was a bit unbelievable and teen drama like.Adult actors in dramas deserve better.
In my own opinion as a mother the baby belong to Jack. Mark is already pastawy when Mel come to virgin river. More month fast when Jack and Mel sleep together and have sex so why the baby is not baby's Jack. That's my owne opinion as a mother. So our ka viewers wait na lang sa season 3 or 4 what will be no matter how long I'm still love to wait. So long Mel and Jack. Longing to see yo soon u
Couple questions....when did Jack get his own home? I thought he lived above the bar. I don't know why I thought charmaine stomach was bigger. Some scenes her stomach was flat. I am so tired if mel and jack going back and forth. The drama is annoying. I loved the show without hope.
Jack got his own home when Hope and he were looking around houses for a place to raise the twins. He did live above the bar before that. And yeah Charmaines stomach is throwing me. I kinda missed hope. Her drama was at least like - believable.
@@projectshipped3604 oh that's right about the house. Forgot that part. I didn't miss hope at all, I found her to be rather annoying lol in the video chats, she annoyed me. Charmaine stomach definitely should be bigger. Most scenes it was flat. Other scenes a small bump. I hate how they glossed over Jack being shot. Season 2 ending was so dramatic, then season 3 starts with him fine and out of the hospital. This season was a downer. I have not read the books, if you have...did mel have a baby?
@@yogaqueen1527 Mel and Jack gets married and have two kids in the book. The show is way different from the storylines in the book. Jack ends it with Charmane as soon as he meets Mel and Charmane did not get pregnant. I know Hope can be annoying, but I kinda missed her. Anyways, I think Jack is the father of Mel’s baby, the IVF thing was just for drama
@@Kadiekay1 wow I wonder why the series is so different from the books. I wonder how long the series will last. Since this is most likely jacks baby. The only drama they can do between that couple is have the twins not be Jack's babies
Be an interesting story if it's her husband and Jack accepts the baby as his own and she will accept his twins to another woman..Then down the track seasons go forward a year or two n sees another baby being Jacks n Mel's..
This season was nothing like the first two and I hope that its due to covid effecting production. Hope being MIA the whole season was so weird than her sudden accident. Was lazy writing they could have just written her off or kilt her due to the storm. The conflict between the Ricky and his girlfriend was childish and the way they wrote them to break up was terrible. Now to Mel and Jack. Their relationship deserved so much more this season. Having Mel go to the fertility clinic without even telling Jack was so weird. The breakup was so stupid. They just deserved so much more. Then for us to not even get a solid proposal to finish the season. With all disrespect the writers of the show failed us. I would have rather waited til November for a decent 10 episodes. I have so many more complaints but I'm not gonna bore y'all. But can someone please explain to me why Charmaine is still barely showing after 2 whole season pregnant with twins. Like they need to wrap the twin pregnancy storyline up. Its time for a birth episode.
The best part of this show was showing the build up of the relationship between Mel and Jack. This is what the audience wants to see. Then the show Brie and Brady in these crazy sex scenes just didn't feel right. They should have developed like Jack and Mel did.
@@cheri7054 I agree. I feel bad for Brittney’s character because they rushed her storyline. Her character could have contributed so much to the show but they rushed it.
An unpopular statement most fans wanted the show in July but I always prefer in November / December. We wouldn't have gotten garbage for story plot from writers.
@@cheri7054 Thank you for recognising it, she was sexually assaulted and should not be so anxious to go to bed with Brady. I honestly hated how they wrote her story. Their characters need more time to develop together.
The ending doesn't make sense. Sorry. The whole process with the frozen embryos...how it is possible they didn't see she was pregnant, made the IVF and then she is pregnant. and only with 24 hours. Mel is a midwife, doesn't she know how this things go...😕
Maybe. Don't get me wrong, I like the show alot!! But the ending was like... come on 😤🙃 I am not an expert, but if she had problems getting pregnant in the past, renew the procedure requires alot of tests and checkups. It may take even weeks. So leaving the viewer's with an ending like that...
@@kubuligal2431 YES! I agree. Also, I think the writers would need to find a really good reason, or a realy good explanation. I think Jack said to here, that if she won't get an answer from him, it meens she would take some other options to consideration, and Mel said NO. But then she did the frozen embryo thing.. It's only TV...keep telling myself that🙃🤪
For one why did they have Hope gone for so long and miss her best friends funeral more less being there for her. She needed to be there for Doc not Muriel. Let Mel and Jack be together-get married etc. with the Paige situation let it go ENOUGH!!! Preacher needs a new love interest. The writer’s need not let these be toxic …. The ending was a definitely a cliffhanger I had a feeling it was bound to happen like this….Never fails. The first two seasons where great but I truly felt the third was just a rush to but it on Netflix and sloppy
I think Hope's disapearance was something to do with the actress who plays her Annette O'Tool. I do hope Jack and Mel get married, and whilst I do agree Preacher needs a new love interest they can't just cut that storyline without it being ridiculous. Him and Christopher is cute though. And yeah the ending felt unfinished x
I don't understand actually. Mel can't get pregnant right? Doctor suggested for surrogate mother before to her and her late husband. Then, she suggests her sister as a candidate. But later they start arguing about ivf treatment or something. So, it's not like she can't get pregnant? Just the chances is low? It just that in s1 and s2, they focused on facts that she can't have a baby, and that's make her questions about having other relationships but then in s3 she planning for the baby and get pregnant. I'm confused.
It’s more that it would be very difficult for her. I think it’s also more that she struggled to carry to term? I’m not really sure how they’re going to take it. I can’t wait to find out tho x
Am I the only one who wouldn't be sad if the baby is Mark's? They also had a beautiful love story. Am I weird? Also, a lot of people want the twins not to be Jack's, but I'll be delighted if he can get along with them in peace.
It wouldn’t be the end of the world if the baby was marks it’d be a cute way of keeping his memory alive. Not sure what I want to happen in regards to charmaine and the twins.
You aren't weird, but....we've been shown only the dreamy side of Mark's story, Mel's on record that they had problems. Plus, she never had a successful pregnancy with Mark, why start now? No, not the end of the world, but I remain Team Jack. As for the twins, I'm sticking with IVF for Charmaine, HINT: multiples.
Its a bit too much that jack is having babies with two women. I just hope that charmaine is a horrible woman thats been lying to jack abt the babies being his( and whats up with her looking visibly not pregnant?? Confuses me) anyway i hope mel is pregnant with jacks baby and charmaine can gtfo
I stopped watching after episode 5. Too much drama and too much soap opera storylines. I hate seeing Brie jump into a steamy sex scenes with Brady. They should have created a slow moving relationship between Brie and Brady. That's why we liked to slow moving relationship between Jack and Mel. It was loving and romantic
Very dissapointed with season 3, still love the characters , but writers screwed it up, too much sadness, they never had a nice moment , none of them , his house burning up the moment they were getting cozy in tub was so pointless, then everything else fell apart, THEN having her start with the " I want a baby crap" so soon, THAT IS WHAT GOT HER FIRST HUSBAND KILLED ! her obsession with that, so I don't know, hope its better on the 4th season, but if it is not Jack's baby, I see other comments saying same thing , I am out too!
I don't really mind if it's Jack's or not. If he loves her, which he claims too it shouldn't matter. I mean hell his ex is pregnant with twins and Mel's expected to put up with that... but yeah hopefully less sadness next season. x
I think Alexandra Breckinridge is really pregnant. All of her tops in season three are big and flowing. In some shots her abdomen looks enlarged. Go back and look for it.
@@projectshipped3604 He didn't dump her per se. He took a break. A minor one at that. Mel jumped the gun, if you ask me. She could have slowed a bit and given Jack some time to re-evaluate before going ahead with her decision. What do you think?
@@nivethasivasamy4208 tbh I’m not sure Jack really deserved her taking that time. And he literally ended it. Like he never called it a break he left her. And she reacted out of desperation to both not be alone and to be a mother and she made a rash decision to do IVF. Do I think it was rash? Yes. Was it something she should have thought about more? Yes. Does Jack deserve to be mad? No. Because it’s her life, her body her choice. If he doesn’t approve then he doesn’t have to stay with her. He’s not allowed to be mad about her personal choices though, especially when they’re made when they were broken up.
@@projectshipped3604 This, I agree. She gets to be her own person and steer her body. No difference of opinion on that front. All I have hand-wringing over is how too rash and impulsive her decision was.
@@projectshipped3604 Setting aside the fact that we know it was all for added drama, I agree he said he wanted to leave and she threw him out. His language was more firm, but I draw a parallel with the reverse situation when Mel didn't want to continue. He didn't give up, waited till maybe she'd change her mind. Perhaps Mel could have been more patient too. It worked out in the long run (Drama!) and I think he'll accept her pregnancy, no matter the father. They were split, she could do what she wanted, and he keeps saying he'll never leave her, so......remains to be seen.
I think Todd is behind the fire. I think Todd is Brie's ex. I really hope Mel's baby is Jack's. The IVF storyline is rubbish - it doesn't add up. You can't just call and 3 days later have an embryo transfer. They have a chance to sort it out in S4 and I hope they do. I just don't know what to make of Charmaine. Or Brady. But having said that I have watched all 3 seasons in less than 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Except for Lilly. That broke my heart!
Todd may be behind the fire, but I doubt he's Brie's ex. We don't know where Brie, or Jack for that matter, is from. We only know it involves a plane ride from somewhere to somewhere so I doubt Todd would be traveling in Brie's circle there and also in Clear River/Eureka. But, anything's possible here. As for Brady, I still think Brie's only trying to prove something to herself with him, not looking for something long term. In interviews, Carr, or Tenney, has hinted at a Brady/Brie/Mike love triangle. I'd go for that.
But 2 days? Really?
Small town life was nice to watch with real situations, this attempted murder mystery saga got old really quick.
They better not turn into Riverdale
@@pipinm2214 never watched riverdale but heard bad things so hopefully not x
@@pipinm2214 Riverdale is messy stories. Toxic
I agree 100% with you
I hope so!!!!
Really hope this is the case.
Season 4:
1. Wrap up this Paige storyline. Enough already and give Preacher a decent love interest. 😴😴
2. I am not here for endless teenage angst. 🙄
3. Charmaine should have been further along in her pregnancy. At that rate we will have to wait until season 10 for her to give birth.🙄🙄
4. This may not be popular, but I am kind of feeling for Muriel. The desperation is real.😬😥
5. I am side eying Mike.👀
6. If Mel is pregnant with her dead husband's baby, I 👏am👏 out👏.
Thank you for saying it. lol
Emphasis on number 6!!😂
If she pregnant with that dead Man's baby I gone too
I think Mike shot Jack....
All this 💯
I have a feeling it's Jacks baby. Can't wait for season 4!
I can. The writers/producers need to take their time and give us decent content. Season 3 insulted my intelligence.
@@kubuligal2431 . Agreed. The best part of season 3 is that Hope was essentially absent. Amazing, Jack's drinking problem and PTSD went completely away in time span of 3 weeks.
I wish it will be happy ending please
I can't wait season 4 and my big wish is a happy ending story please
This endless drama is getting ridiculous now.
@@kubuligal2431 Very true.
Yeah the story needs to settle down a bit, less twists and turns. x
During the whole movie Charmaine never showed pregnancy and she caring twins she always wore those tight jeans
Lol
I think Alexandra Breckinridge is really pregnant though.
@@nakamotoyuta5636 I think it's Mike behind all this and I want to know why. Jealousy? I don't believe it's Brady deep down he has a good heart.

I think it is Jack’s baby too
I love Mel and jack together . I hope it’s jack ‘s baby
I won’t be able to deal if Netflix doesn’t give us season 4
Same. x
They are amazing together and the respect they show each other on and off camera! Love there love story ❤
Also, I think the writers got confused.. we asked for charmaines babies not to be jacks, not Mels
Thank you for saying, Many fans like the show because drama controlled and make sense. The writers mess up season 3. I pray for the season 4 to clean up the mess of the writing.
They better clean it up real quick in season 4. Because I am just not having it.
Pleaseeeee let that baby not be jack and let mels be !!!!!!!! Awww I am begging them!
Yeah think they might have 😂
Jack need to be the father of mel's baby.
@@tashalynn2146 exactly what I thought. She might became pregnant when she came back from LA
Mel is a nurse practitioner and midwife. She wouldn’t have missed any symptoms.
Thanks netflix you guys gone done good you have us hanging by our teeth....... I enjoyed every minute. The pregnancy was inevitable, lets not break the guys heart let something good happen for him.
and give him relief from Charmaine's dominance; twins not his for example!
LOL
@@sherikay1207 I also think she is the one who shot him
Honestly, I don't know who told the writers they need to take this show into this path, clear base on fans comments they are unhappy with the writing of season 3, there were lots of errors in writing and it made no sense.

They only must read the books and leave to do changes ! Is better how was written
I can't cope! Do things have to be so difficult for them. Seems like every twist and turn there is a gigantic obstacle for them to overcome 😳
I hope it's Jacks. But at the same time it's also cute if it's Marks - because like Joey said it's a way for him to live on. But I just want Mel and Jack to be happy. x
@@projectshipped3604 I few people want the baby to be Mark child while the majority wants the child to be Jack.

@@sherikay1207 They are very endearing! x
@@sherikay1207 It's just a bit disappointing as the first two series were so different and very un soap opera like.

IM JUST GONNA SAY IT, I STILL THINK CHARMAINE SHOT JACK
Me too! And tried to burn his house down so he wouldn’t have a place for the babies to stay!!! She’s the only one that seems to have benefited so far.
@@sarahashworth68 YES EXACTLY
Wowwww I never thought about her butttt it does make sense!
I always thought that as well. She goes to prison for attempted murder and that frees up Jack and Mel to not only be together, but to raise the babies also.
What if it was Todd who shots Jack as he is jealous with a Jack. I wouldn’t be surprised if Todd is the father of the twins

@@kubuligal2431 same here, once is good enough for me.

I hope it is Jack because Mel & Jack were so happy in the book. Please stick to the book because the book was lovely & so miraculous
This happens when writers are forced to write rubbish just because the series has been renewed for another season. I wonder how long stayed in LA. Mel and got pregnant in pre-existing fetuses without any preparation?
They couldn't at least let us have the proposal 🙁
That would have been a beautiful closing for Season 3; makes no sense the way they chose to end it!
i hope the scene was only Mel's dream..then she wakes up
I think you give a good idea to correct the nonsense of the writings.
Ohhhhhh! That's a good one. Hope fully writers will scroll these messages and find this one.

Someone has said Charmaine was pregnant In the books but she wasn’t she was a 50 ish year old
women with grown children and a bar maid, Jack went to see maybe couple times a month.

@L D Completely agree x Fingers crossed he doesn't overreact
@L D My first reaction is to agree. Now I have another thought: seeing Mel wincing as she prepares to sleep in this episode I wonder if she's already starting to miscarry. It's so early in her pregnancy, she's miscarried previously during her IVF and it would give the storyline an out that she'll be completely done with Mark and she and Jack can make their own plans. Of course Jack would have to stay, maybe even marry.
Just thinking out loud.....

It would be great storytelling if the baby is actually Mark’s. The reaction from Jack would be must see TV.
They were real loose and fancy free with the writing. 🙄

It wasn't bad. But I get what you mean. Hopefully season 4 returns a little of the paradise feeling x

I think she said she doesn’t know if he is the father, because she did the embryos implant the morning because she went back to virgin river, and then that night she was with Jack .. then we got the ten days later time frame .. but hopefully she got pregnant before that … I really hope is Jacks baby and not Marks
Yeah me too x
The whole thing is ridiculous. So she was conveniently ovulating when she decided to have the embryo put in? It’s very unrealistic. Plus she had previously told Jack she couldn’t get pregnant after her still birth which was why she was upset Charmaine was pregnant.
@@TheNOGGS Guess we'll see how they play it out x
Not a fan of season 3. The only thing got me thrilled was the story of brady and jack's sister
I loved their dance scene at the bar. 😍

@@dorissmathers19 Jack's decision baffling to be sure, but it is a plot twist added by VR writers to increase the soap opera drama quotient, if only for a couple of eps and to provide a critical cliffhanger.
I already stopped watching at episode 5. I saw where it was heading and it disturbed me.

@@projectshipped3604 thanks 😊. I will start on it soon

Yes! Sorry.
Casal lindoo. Os dois tem q ficar juntos.
These programs jet get more raunchy.
Yes, too much for Jack to be fathering babies with two women; one being such a mean-spirited one (Charmaine)
after mel and jack break up mel slept with whom? can anybody tell me. if not jack,s then whose child mel carry?
She had IVF when she went to LA for Joeys divorce hearing. So the baby is either Jacks or Marks.
Her dead husband Mark, they had frozen embryos
I thought it was just me alone i started watching season 3 and hated it so I stop i knew they were going to mess things up
I stopped watching after episode 5. Too much drama and too much soap opera storylines. I hate seeing Brie jump into a steamy sex scenes with Brady. They should have created a slow moving relationship between Brie and Brady. That's why we liked to slow moving relationship between Jack and Mel. It was loving and romantic
But if she is pregnant , and it’s not Jacks shouldn’t she be really showing or done had the baby?
Could be twins. One baby of jack and one of marc. Lol
Double Twins? Jack might just faint.
Please noooooooo! 😱
Hell No
I would die
don't think that could happen!
I mean hell his ex is pregnant with twins and Mel's expected to put up with that... but yeah hopefully less sadness next season. x
Could it be that having her ex husband baby and had his sperm frozen 🥶 😂
This was disappointing part of the season.
I think Alexandra Breckinridge is really pregnant. All of her tops in season three are big and flowing. In some shots her abdomen looks enlarged. Go back and look for it.
Jack didn't deserve this.
True but Mel didn’t deserve him dumping her earlier in the season either
I was not happy with this episode At All. She’s seems to jeopardize everything with Jack!!! Geeze wth. This season was just depressing.
She made a choice after he broke up with her. Tbf Jack doesn’t deserve her this season.
@@projectshipped3604 regretfully I agree!
@L D I agree with you 100%. The entire season was a depressing joke!!
Oh absolutely!!! If this next season starts out on the same page as the last season, I’m out.
@L D I’m reconsidering my desire to even continue with this series. The last season killed my interest completely.
I bawled like a baby over Lilly x
Todd may be behind the fire, but I doubt he's Brie's ex. We don't know where Brie, or Jack for that matter, is from. We only know it involves a plane ride from somewhere to somewhere so I doubt Todd would be traveling in Brie's circle there and also in Clear River/Eureka. But, anything's possible here.
As for Brady, I still think Brie's only trying to prove something to herself with him, not looking for something long term. In interviews, Carr, or Tenney, has hinted at a Brady/Brie/Mike love triangle. I'd go for that.
Todd isn’t Brie’s ex. Brie’s ex is in Sacramento where she’s from. This is in the book.
I have loved the first 3 episode but
If mels baby isn
T jacks im done
T
I hope it’s Jacks too x
Bruh I didn't finish Season 3 yet and this shit came up in my recommended and spoiled it for me.
Who she slept with ??? How come it’s not jack’s baby ???? 😳 when was she with someone else ??? 😳😳😳
IVF treatment in LA x
Mels husband has been dead for a whole year how can it not be jacks baby?
She used IVF
@@projectshipped3604 Before she moved to Virgin River after?
