Great looking goat's 🐐👍ever think of crossing with kikos for size, do you see any difference between kikos and Spanish goat's?

Thank you! We do not plan on crossing the Spanish with any other breed. Finding a true straight Spanish goat is hard in todays market hard because they been crosses so many different ways for their parasite resistance, Mothering ability and hardiness. They do not grow like the kikos in size from what I can see. Kikos usually get a lot bigger and quicker. People will always want to come back to some pure Spanish blood wether it’s for commercial purposes or seed stock purposes. Kikos are good breed though, remind me a lot of the Spanish from what I read and hear about them!

@@bearfamilyfarm very true, they used to have old Irish goat's here in newfoundland but all got replaced with dairy and boar goat's that aren't adapted to our cold wet climate. They were considered to be the poor man's cow and some of the hardiest goats ever. 🐐

How many feet of fencing do you have with those bucks?

The billys are in about 12 acre paddock but linear feet wise totals up to a little over 4,000 feet.

Hey I am kinda new to the Spanish goat game and was wondering what all bloodlines you have. I have all Syphan nanny’s with kensing cross Billy’s. What do you Nannie’s average out to weight wise? And how many of your Nanny’s produce twins?

We run 100% Kensing bloodlines that date back to Robert Kensings orginal blood back in the 80s and 90s that come from the Moongate Ranch out of Robert Lee Tx David and Dianne Hefner were old partners of the late Robert Kensing and have stayed true and pure all these years. We like our Nannie’s to range between 100-125 lbs at fully maturity. Anything heavier than that they loose athleticism and dont stay productive as long. Pending on the forage availability during the late spring, summer and early fall will determine the amount of kids the nanny will conceive. Last year we had a little below avg rainfall so our forage was pretty good and about 60-70% had twins. This year we are not expecting as many twins with the drought.
