The best characters have always been the ones with incredible movment abilities to take advantagious positions. Brad always says they are OP but I suspect Valkyrie will be very OP for once

It's true though, they heavily OP the new characters every time so people will play with them, get used to them and when they are nerfed keep playing them. It's not that big of a mystery..
New legend : *exists* YTbers and Streamers : Insanely OP IMHO, Valkyrie is a balanced legend. It feels good to have a balanced legend in the game after such a long time. Her passive flying ability isn't too OP and her tactical is just a compact and more precise bangalore ult. Her Ult is a portable jumptower which is quite good, today in ranked I decided to take fights from the first second and landed with 3 other teams in skyhook, we didn't get many resources (not much ammo or good guns in fact I just had a bow which saved me and my team + I ran out of shield cells), her Ult allowed us to leave that place quickly (we did have to fight two teams as they landed right beside our buildings)
I think the intent of her rockets isn't raw damage but rather to force targets to either move to a different position (opening them up to get flanked by Valk and teammates) or get bonked. It's really good at weeding out enemies who are in a nicely defended position, but not very good at actually damaging things. They don't deal a lot of damage, which is another thing I base that on, in addition to them being in a square pattern and having small blasts and an obvious marker. So basically it's good for flushing out enemies, not dropping bombs on their heads.
It is so hard to tell if brad is being serious when he says that any of the legends are OP because all the new character videos have that title, and brad is just a god at the game so even the bad characters look good when brad plays them lol
She's fun though. I think if her passive flying was more of a tactical ability and her tactical was a ult it night be more balanced. Idk though Anyone who played Battlefront from 2005 knows how to control her flying decently well imo
