    Facial Recognition Cameras are slowly becoming a part of everyday life within private corporations and businesses because it's easier for them to get away with using them as a condition of entry, but it wont be long before eventually they are being used generally by the state. So if you prefer to remain private when you visit your local shops then create your own privacy by wearing a face covering and don't let any police officers tell you that you have to show your face because you don't.

      I vaguely remember that the Welsh Government landed in trouble over their attempts at rolling out Facial Recognition a couple of years ago. Also a few years ago, The Met (no surprise there) had a test bed Facial Recognition system loaded in the back of a van which had cameras all over it. They parked up in a London street and photographed and searched for everyone that went past. To cynically obey GDPR and Human Rights etc legislation, they announced that FR was being used by placing posters ahead of and behind the van, but anyone that diverted their route to avoid the van or deliberately hid their face was detained by Plod and investigated. I believe there were a few of the usual arrest/de-arrests while these scum trialed a private company's attempts at totally shagging everyone's Human Rights. Given the choice, Plod will treat us all as cattle to be used and disposed of as required.

    I think I noticed them at the self service tills in the local co-op, there is a screen above each till showing the recording of your face, if you are also using a store loyalty/points card at the till then it would be easy to link your image with your name and address which they can then sell to the Recognition creators for their database, I did ask a guard about the tills recording peoples face but he said it was only to prevent theft at the self service tills

    • @TheSadButMadLad

      I've heard about them. From what I understand, they don't record your face to link with your credit card/loyalty card and what you purchase. What the tech can do is identify the approximate age and sex of the person. So it is used to do the equivalent of check 25.

It can work when the sample database is small in number, say the members of some protest group and identify them. But not when they are amongst the public since they will be too many false positives and false negatives. In terms of working with the general public it will always be crap.

      A quick google search of "facial recognition use by police" shows a vast number of recent lengthy trials by police forces up and down the country and how beneficial the app has proven.

    Take mi6 building, probably one most secure buildings in the uk. If you got over the massive, high, security fences, you would be surround by armed police within seconds. Yet, this building is viewable from google earth. How many auditors detained under section 43, your filming the staff entering. Surely they could install covered walkway security tunnels, from the left, and right of the building, to protecting their privacy? Or move the main entrance to the smaller side st entrance? Or move the building to a less busy part of the country, and not the most populated city in the country? The security idiots there just seems to press the lockdown button at a whim.

    Hi. Hope you are well and you and yours, had a gr8 Christmas. Check out Gypsy Auditor's latest video. 'Man gets fined for calling the police'. Surely if they can fine the public, they can start fining all the council/government bodies/companies, who also misuse 999 emergency services. As we have seen many times in auditors videos. All the very best to you and yours for 2023 🙏👍

    oooh dear ..is a PC acting in office as constable by taking picture of person/s elsewhere
    section 64A states, person/s can be
    (a) with the appropriate consent
    UNLESS (1B) is in place :-
    (a) arrested by a constable for an offence;
    (b) taken into custody by a constable after being arrested for an offence
    I presume as it is under PACE it would be abuse of PACE procedure "CODE of Practice (s.66 of PACE)
    then they/PC know if they break abuse PACE CODE procedure ,, maintained by HS (s.66)
    they know they can get away from that abuse of PACE code of practice as:
    s.67 of PACE
    (10) a failure on part:-
    (a) of a police officer to comply with any provision of . . a code;
    shall not of itself render him liable to any criminal or civil proceedings
    from the above (10) on YT auditors where person has informed a PC of unlawful search and going to make a complaint
    PC quote ""good luck with that " with a 😁
    knowing they can abuse the CODE under s.67 of PACE 🤷‍♂
    let us 🙏
    thanks for bringing this up Mr PINACI 👌🙏
