Nice demonstration on the split operation. That removed my doubts on having a rig with 2 receivers. One excellent rx is enough 😊

I have a noisy environment including elevator noise. I am struggling to decide between TS 890S and FT 101D. Which one would be better in respect of NR ?

Hi Mark thanks for posting .I wonder if there is any way to play back the recorded audio just curious cheers
You can but not from the radio. You can copy the recorded audio file to the PC and then play it back to the Radio soundcard using windows media player - it works but its a bit of a pain.

I am also trying to figure out a way to do this @@zaperfan I like how easy it is to record from the radio but looking for easy way to play it back. I also did a post in the discussion group on QRZ.com. Really am enjoying my TS- 890S!

Please can any friend know if Kenwood TS 890S has a bug? I am looking to buy a TS 890s but are saying that a new TS 890SG version will be released ??? this is true ?? 73
I dont know and haven't heard this at all. Given their reduced presence at Friedrichshafen, their new supplier arrangements in the UK and the fact that Kenwood aren't attending the UK HamFest this year I would be more inclined to think they are pulling out of the Amateur market.
@@MarkG0MGX I see that kenwood is not promoting the TS890S, big stores are just talking about the yaesu ftx 101d, it is very sad to think that kenwood can leave the band amateur
@@pu2xbt74 They just reduced the price by $850 CAN in Canada. I'm seriously considering buying one now.
