a better idea for gatekeeper fangs is using a gem with poison component and priority set to "structure". Gatekeeper fangs receive a limited amount of damage from direct hits, but not from poison. Destroying a gatekeeper fang makes gatekeeper vulnerable for some time (x100 dmg), so bolt enhancement in your most powerful gem delivers him heavy damage. Nice video anyway
You're right, I looked after it. But here's the thing: It's hp didn't changed, it was 1 billion in the video too. The armor is the only thing that changed, but even with 1 billion armor, The Gatekeeper can be easily damaged while it's in vulnerable state. The armor increase is probably just prevents the player to damage the Gatekeeper while it's not vulnerable. (Because with level 1000 I was able to kill it, without destroying keeper fangs. Now it's not possible anymore) But that's it, you can still defeat it in vulnerable state, especially with bolt. I hope this answers your question. Have a nice day!
@@worldofgemcraft6334 Thanks for advice! :) I used two pure poison gems for destroying the Gatekeeper fangs so it was in vulnerable state almost all the time and then used Bolts on my main gem.
. . . That HP though.... I have played some TD games, but now an Boss like that? Oh no. Very difficult. Questions: What do you think the title of the next Gemcraft will be? And how you the gameplay will be? I think I need to farm a lot of XP, Talismans and Shadow Cores.
It isn't worth to join gems in Frostborn Wrath. You'll get better results if you use a pure color gems. Is it bad? Hard to tell because it's nice that FW is different than Chasing Shadows (much more vision fields in FW [called "trials"] is big plus IMO). At the end, it should not be called "gemcraft" since joining gems in FW is nerfed.
@@worldofgemcraft6334 Good ponit, I didn't think about trials lol. Anyway I'm 209 now, I can afford your setup, but I'm still struggling. It seems much slower for me to get down a fang, can't understand why. I guess you're using barrage because it doesn't count as a strike spell, but I still have a hard time focusing what I want and dealing enough damage even though I got the same gems :/

Exactly.

Yeah. Poison gems absolutely murder those fangs.
Has something changed or am I doing something really wrong? My Gatekeeper has 1 billion HP and 1 billion armor. And I don't see any way to beat THAT.

Have one pure mana leech gem. It will produce a LOT of mana with the Beam.
Yes, good point. This is an old video, but I'm usually doing that on every field now. Good information tough.

I have no idea, Peter will solve it.

Would have been way easier if you actually played the game, like use traps, pylon, amplifier, etc.
I know, but it was more challenging this way.
