Ryan knew what he was doing. He had a Vada testing prior to the one which got caught. He posted it showing that he came back clean. Now, what changed from that testing? To be clear, there is a vast chasm between what is deemed contamination levels and the levels required to illicit competitive advantage. You cannot conflate the two. The degree to which a drug benefits an athlete is highly individual. In fact, knowledge of contamination levels are built in to cycles. Boxing is one of the few international sports where it can be used for leniency. Been tested by both WADA and NCAA

If it’s only 6 months, that is horrible for boxing. Ryan is always out of camp for 6 months in between fights. So it’s not a real suspension. If his B sample comes back hot the suspension has to be an example. If the penalty isn’t a long suspension- other fighters are going to be poppin dirty all Willy Billy because there is no real consequence. The penalty has to be something that effect Ryan in. Way that deters him and other fighters from taking any thing. It would be better for boxing as a whole if the suspension is longer than 6 months

I'm just going to stay silent until i see what happens with Ryan. If he had these drugs in his system, then he should be suspended. I dont care if he knew it or not. It's his responsibility to make sure it's not. And it's just confusing for channels to keep reporting on it until a decision is made. Because they are moving the goal post. Yea I feel you, the commission could stop all the confusion by giving the fighters a pre approved list of supplements that they can take that have already been tested. That way if they pop dirty they could not use the accidental supplemental excuse, because you broke the rules taking unauthorized supplements. The only other excuse they could used is purposeful sabotage which is extremely hard to prove, so you would have less athletes overall who risk cheating.
