Award-winning pizza spot opens second Hamilton location

Cowabunga has not been on the Hamilton food scene long, but they sure are making waves.
Their first location opened on the mountain in 2020 and is a take-out only spot. But in March they opened a sit-down restaurant in downtown Hamilton called Cowabunga+.
The location on Vine St. offers appetizers, 'bunga bites, whole pies and pizza by the slice. Emily checked out the new location and learned what goes on their famous GG ,Pepperoni + and Our Marg pizzas.
Emily found the pizzas to be very good, but if you don't trust her opinion, believe the judges who named Cowabunga the second best pizza in the non-traditional division at the International Pizza Expo in Vegas and the fact they also just won second place at the pizza competition in Toronto this week.
Cowabunga is open daily at 536 Upper Wellington from 3pm-9pm for take out orders, and Thursday-Sunday from noon-9pm at 30 Vine St.

Beautiful pizza.. the taste is phenomenal right out of the oven. Do yourself a favor and get it well done for an amazing crispy bite
