It’s nice to hear Coach give Poa some positive recognition for what she brings off the bench. Obviously she made some mistakes, but they all muffed it one time or another. Glad she went in to get that bucket at the end of the quarter after her miss last game. I don’t often hear Coach give her much positive praise.
I said this because I noticed Washington doing the same thing Troy or Tulane did in 2-3.. they crashed on Morrow in the post.. Mulkey has to be ready for that. Maya or Jersey has to pop out somewhere. Also guards have to notice the zone and move the ball. Stop doing 1 on 1 against zone defenses
Great TEAM victory. I agree with the commentator that LSU allowed Washington to get into a rhythm in the 1st quarter. However, LSU responded in the final 3 quarters by defending the perimeter. Continue to integrate Aneesah into the offense as a primary option and LSU becomes a very dangerous team.
I think a lot of fans get really intense about this game, and sometimes we can be mean with our opinions... Emotional opinions. . It's never personal...At least with me..I Love these Young Lady Tigers...I think we were Hard on Makayla....Even though she's a Dawg...our comments don't help her evergy...MK , is one of the best players on this team... PERIOD ‼️. SHE'S GOING TO BE THERE. I'M 1000% SURE OF IT. Coach, we are happy Makayla is a Lady Tiger 🐅 As well. 💖
NoBody is hard on her.. she went 0-12 or whatever so it comes with it..if she was 12/12 then everybody say some thing great to say..have to take the good with the bad..she’s a sophomore now not a freshman
I adore Poa, but she should not be in the game (offense) or at least not be the PG in crunch time moments. She almost cost us the game. Poa is known to be careless with the ball.
Makayla was the real reason Washington was getting off. Makayla blew fast breaks….cold as ice with the jumper…Poa actually gave us a lift we she came in!
@@marcusb.3038yeah I did rewatch that game Pao almost made two crucial passes towards the end but she brings that energy. Our guards have to understand they all can’t be off on the same nights.. our guard play suppose to be the strength rn
@@marcusb.3038 I have made my critique on MK on another post. MK has great potential and I gave her grace her freshman year but she has to find her rhythm asap. She lacks consistency with her shot, she needs to work on her foot work because she's getting beat on D by her opponents. I felt the need to speak on poa bc she couldve cost us the game at two critical possessions. Poa should be better with her decision making and ball handling by now. Shes been on this team for too long to still be so careless
Gotta fill the roster. Every team has a player or two that's not nearly as skilled as the stars and barely get off the bench. It happens even in the NBA or WNBA. They're on the roster in case some of key players go down to injury or get in foul trouble. Plus, they are happy to be on the team, willing to do whatever the coach needs, and cleans up in garbage time. Emily Ward seldom got off the bench during the 2022-23 Championship season. But, she played her role and got a ring just like Angel Reese.
