I love the way COLD CASE played an entire song at the end of each episode. Very effective, emotional ... and reminded me of so many great songs I'd forgotten for years.

@@SanghaBlack Agreed. Can't believe its been 5 years. The Promise was a good episode. Felt bad for Laurie. I wish Dirk never joined that guy's sorority group. @Sheri451 I love animals too, BUT in my opinion, child abuse is wrong as well. I agree with the animal abuse though. They sense and smell bad things when we can't. They're the furry guardian angels so to speak. :)
The show didn't become popular until after it was cancelled. Had the show been popular it would have made it to Blu-ray. Other shows have music in them. No, royalties wasn't the issue, but more like a lack of interest. If it was royalties, then Max is paying millions in royalties right now because it's streaming on Max. Maybe the royalties issue was a thing back then, but royalties don't work now like they do back then or streaming services couldn't afford to make a profit.
the guy in the begining was the guy who killed sammys parents right infront of him you have to watch this episode!!! by far the best ever had me guessing till the very end!!!
I saw the episode when I was 11 years old, in 2014, and even at that age I could tell that it didn't make any sense. Doug had helped move the animals from the Harris's store because he knew they were going to burn it down to collect the insurance so he could pay the bribe/extortion from the scumbag Mr Harvey. Doug knew that Mr Harvey was the one who had caused this ruckus and was responsible for them having to move to Vermont. So my question is: Why the hell was it the Harrises who ended up getting shot and not Mr Harvey? Because as lovesick as Doug was, I think he could easily identify the real culprit in this mess. If I were Doug what I would do would be to pick up the gun and tell Harvey that either I would pay for the rebuilding of the Harris's store and get Brent a first place position at the school, or I would pump him full of lead. Regardless of what the writers said, what I think really happened is that it was Harvey who actually killed Lisa and Steve Harris to keep them from revealing that he was extorting money from parents of Northbend students, and Doug decided to take the fall to keep Harvey from hurting Brent and Ruby. Because that's the only logical explanation I can find for it.
@@jordannewsom3606 Let's see man, being mentally ill, lovesick, or whatever you want to call it, is a good excuse, but it's not good for everything. In an episode of Castle, Vampire Weekend (I love the show, and if you know what I'm talking about, then great, and if not, watch the episode, it's great), the murder witness had porphyria and was completely deranged, but even so when he saw the killer he went berserk (And I can't blame him, since the victim was a good guy who had treated him with much respect and dignity) and if it wasn't because the witness was in a cell, he would have given the killer a live autopsy. The witness was a hell of a lot crazier than Doug and yet he could still recognize the culprit. If the writers wanted to make Doug the killer and with a modicum of logic, what they would have had to have done would have been for Doug to be unaware that the Harrises were going to burn down the store, let alone that they were going to do it to collect the insurance money to pay off that scumbag Harvey. Then it would make sense that Doug would be in “No, they're going to take Ruby away from me. I'm going to kill her parents, sounds like a good idea” mode since he didn't know the full picture. Pretty stupid, but at least minimally understandable. But no, the writers had to have Doug be the killer even while implicitly showing in the flashbacks that Doug knew the real culprit in the Harris move was Principal Harvey. To me what it seems is that in writing the script the writers caught a Guinness record binge and when it came time to write the killer they had a God level hangover and wanted to get this shit over with, putting Doug as the killer for maximum effect of betrayal, heartbreak and all that shit; not realizing that according to previous flashback information, Doug had every motive in the world to kill Harvey (Seriously, if given the chance, what I would do is turn all the money he stole from his students' parents into gold and then pour it molten on top of Harvey, to turn him into a shiny statue of his own greed) and none to kill the Harrises.
