I don't think that this is the best version but definitely I think Julian kick ass when he sings.. The Strokes is my waay favourite band.. GREAT SOUND :)

It's not a before or after situation, actually; I think in around 2004 in an interview he said himself that his voice just randomly goes off sometimes and sometimes it's completely on peak. Yeah, he doesn't sound too great in this show but he can still sound like good ol' Jules :)

I love the Strokes, but am I the only one who thinks that Nikolai plays like he has no fun and that Albert just looks really odd when playing guitar? The only ones that look like they actually enjoy the music are Julian and Fab.
honestly I love Nik's personality. I think that he's always so relaxed just because it's "his way of life". His mind might be the most eccentric one, but his self control doesn't let him to act like that, I guess

@k3yverse he did the solo tour the whole year before...and then all these festivals in a row with the Strokes..too much touring..anybody's voice would need a break
could be the case, but i'd rather have him sober and healthy than still drinking and probably unhappy (i'm assuming since he said himself that he turned into a monster when the drinking/drugs got out of hand). and i think that people have it wrong when they say he sounded best in the ITI era, because quite a few people agree he sounded best in FIoE and Phrazes.
I went to see The Strokes two times. Julian can't sing this song, he doesn't have voice tone enough to do that in Live.
But the song is the fuckin' best. Rather... the entire album.
