You make that fat lady sing! Ha! I just got that... The tin can lid clipped to the pickguard is borderline genius. You have mastered every nuance of your sound. Those bass kicks. That pickup system. Your pedal board....yet another comment from me, singing your praises.
That was amazing! Especially like the percussive quality to it, I'm having troubles getting the same with my electro acoustic which sound nothing like this
Cheers mate! What kind of guitar/pickup system are you using? Each guitar setup can have it's own properties... so it may take a bit of fiddling to get the juicy tones. I also use a small Behringer Sub which allows me to get the full kick/bass sound from the guitar.
Cheers for the reply! I'm using a Fender CD60CE which has a Fishman Piezoelectric pick-up system. I've always just used it unplugged for it's acoustic tone but I'm getting more into looping so getting a good sound when plugged into amplification would be great. It does not pick up any tapping against the body and hardly any against the strings. What kind of pickup system does your guitar have?
william cutts The Cole Clark im using here a a 3-way pickup system: Piezo pickup... faceboard sensor and condenser mic all in the one... this makes it perfect for percussive looping as it picks up all sounds on the body. They're all controllable too.
Wow yeah that's a pretty different setup to what I've got :p Really useful to know about though, cheers! will be following your channel for ideas and inspiration
Great performance. How do you manipulate the last lay - you suspend it for the refrain and the you put it back- can I do all that with the rc3 pedal, our do I need some other gier?
Ben McGarity I guess everything really... Guitar, pickups and pedals and any other equipment you have going on. Trying to put my own set up together so all help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!
No Problem! Recording using Boss RC30 Loop Station. Electroharmonix Pitchfork (for the bass sound). Mooer Hustle Drive (distortion). Mooer Pure Boost. Mooer Reecho (Delay). Mooer Mod Factory. Mooer Mini DI. Fender Passport Pro 300. Australian made Cole Clark Fat Lady II Acoustic Guitar. Also use Behringer Eurolive B1200D Sub hooked up to PA.. this is really important to get the punch out of the set up. Hope that helps :)
Greetings Ben! Very nice cover! I have a question: How do you make the "drums" sound so deep? I mean, I have a similar set up connected to a behringer mixer but cant make the "drums" sound powerful enough Thanks!
