If you don't know the area and you are curious, driving south the bridge is just before exit 14 ,no where near exit 15. How ever if you are traveling north it is right before you get on the off ramp to 15. 15 south takes you to a merge of US1 and Rt.7N to Danbury.
You're exactly right , been with DOT 20 yrs . Contractors do all the heavy work, we're just traffic control and inspection . Whenever there's some " credit " or " praise " on TV , notice all the brand new hats and vests ? That's management from the top heavy dept . , along with a few hand picked " diversity hires " for the background. The rest of us are ordered to stay away and not talk to the media .
