The Speedmaster Reduced, the Seamaster Aqua Terra Quartz, and the two-tone Seamaster 300m Professional-watches you didn’t recommend-are actually my favorites. I buy watches based on what I like, not for their resale value, as I never sell pieces from my collection.
We are living in a craft world. Spend more for a mechanical watch that's not so precise. A watch is ment to be precise, not a technical marvel. But I agree that mechanical watches are more fascinating and fun to own.
You seem to have a problem with quartz. Why? It’s a movement that shaped the watch industry and deserves a place in any collection alongside automatic and manual wind watches. Resale value is not relevant for those like me who buy watches to wear. I bought my Speedmaster Reduced 30 years ago because I wanted an automatic and because it fitted my wrist better. I wore it everyday for decades and still wear it regularly. The true, space qualified, Speedy Pro has a hesalite crystal so I don’t understand why you criticise the Reduced for having it too.
Investment... resale value ... Buying a watch for any reason other than you love that watch is just plain dumb. Owning and wearing watch is about how it makes you feel, and the enjoyment it brings you. Buy what you like, not what a youtube video says too...
So tired of these “Don’t buy videos”. What do you wear?Would be nice to see your collection. My wife has the reduced Speedmaster and absolutely loves it as it fits her wrist nicely.Have you ever thought that not only men buy watches?
I think your list matches the sentiments of a lot of life long Omega lovers, especially regarding the quartz versions. Its also quite amazing to me how the designs of my Bond SMP 300 and Speedy moon phase have endured over the years. Having fully refurbished both watches over the past 6 years, I fell in love with them all over again. Also, I totally agree that the De Ville master chronometer is a superior design to the De Ville Co-Axial.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
Fortunately, people don't listen to these types of reviews to make a purchase on a watch. I have a number of Omega watches and enjoy wearing them all, I'm not looking at selling any of them. I'd suggest purchasing a time peice you connect with no matter the value as it's how you value it that matters.
Someone, please educate me. I never understood the appeal of Omegas. The designs are always underwhelming, the polishes the Omega Constellation tarnish and degrade badly. All their good stuff was made in the 1950s but the company went off since the 60s. It's moon landing watch is nerdy looking with a busy dial and case. So why does Omega have so many fans? Maybe it's specs are good, but you never buy a top quality product like an iPhone or a Cartier or a Rolls-Royce on specs. That would be totally nerdy. So, fanboys, help me understand what's great.

Absolutely agree, I never buy a watch to sell. I only buy a particular watch because it's something I really like.

What a lousy negative video. Is this the best you could do - try to be positive and more cheerful. The audio track is terrible ....
You know the first watch you showed (constellation) was a video of the automatic version🥴

B.S. 😂
Hesilite with 3861 is an exceptional choice to own
usless.
No sense of style. What a chop
Mine. Omega flightmaster 910.
How about speedmaster day date?
Basically, people should be encouraged to buy what they love, not what some arrogant youtube moron advises against.
You forgot the Omega Swatch moon watch series how cheap and plastic it is.
You could at least use the right visual, duh
Don't expect to much from a AI generated UA-cam channel
Quand j'aurai une porte ouverte à défoncer je saurai qui appeler...😂

Quartz has no resale value period
