Had the privilege of hearing the STR1 at full chat down the start/finish straight at Hockenheim. Truly a life changing experience, the sound was absolutely ear shattering. Probably will go deaf a few years earlier because of it but it was 100% worth it.
Imagine if this was s supporting series that followed Formula One around... everybody would go home after seeing these racing and not bother with the actual Grand Prix!
It was in my plans at first but then I had to change them since I had other stuffs to do on Sunday and I couldn't attend the whole racing weekend. So I preferred to only record a standard stereo video. Anyway there should be an old binaural recording from a Boss GP round here on my channel ;)
Imagine entering BOSS GP with one or both of the Andrea Moda cars but with the Judd V10’s that were originally supposed to be in the cars back in the day

I love that they still have the old Toro Rosso Garage boards, I imagine they have alot of their old memorabilia just as Red Bull does. I don't remember that Nose being on the STR3 though at 1:24-1:26. The piece above the nose seems thicker then how it was originally (Unless its the angle that makes it appear that way)

i would say it is the rev limiter because it is very short in gears. it is even in 7th gear at only 1/4 of the straight (heard it live in hockenheim - end of Parabolica, same behavior) :)
Yes, even after 10 years, i will still whine. The sound difference is night and day. Current f1 engines are on paper better, but they sound like vaccums.@@makr0295
did they revert back to the original spec 2006 rev limited v10 in the str? previous years when it was against the jag and super aguri v10s it was full reving to 18k I guess since now they have left its real challenge is only the old bennetons and the v8 car of 2008
Pretty sure that that Benetton runs a Judd V10 these days. It’s a higher displacement and runs lower revs than the original engine - easier on maintenance.
Italy could have it’s own formula one! There’s enough teams that could participate,with a number of excellent circuits With very little travel involved.........cut costs by 3/4 it could work........Ferrari would have to start.

My favorites are the V8s that reach 20K RPM, but the V10s are also incredible (even the V6 Turbo Hybrids when they have the exhaust open)
The STR-3 is actually an ex-Vettel car and possibly is the race winning chassis from the Italian GP in 2008!
If this is what F1 cars still sounded like I would still be watching F1.

There are companies that deal with the different brands,Ferrari and Merc make most of the parts for their cars
From what I’ve heard apparently Judd can refurbish and/or make new parts for you.
