Hey, I just wanted to comment to motivate you to keep pushing forward with UA-cam. I discovered your channel because of your Ted Lasso reactions and I am consistently blown away by your insights from each episode. You've created a lifelong fan. Keep up the great work and never change!
16:28 you're totally right episode 5 was filled with romantic tropes and homages from tons of romance movies. you should google to see them all but the couple bein interviewed is a reference to When Harry met Sally
It's all about the pop culture references. Here, it's romantic comedies. The couple at 13:17 is an homage to "When Harry Met Sally" Which is amazing by the way --- worthy of a reaction!
@@FrankFreezy_ I was lucky. My girlfriends over the years loved rom-coms. I've seen a bunch of them. Odd thing - myself and my current GF are in our 60s (old uni sweethearts, our kids are grown, reconnected after she moved here to ATL). She was constantly amazed that I knew many of those references. 😆
That sequence where Roy brings Issac to the street-ball game is one of my favorites in the whole series. Watched for the first time here in the US with a mixed group of friends/fam - half of us love (real) football, the other half knew very little about the game. When Issac bragged about being a pro, the footy fans among us laughed out loud and said, "..Issac's about to get his leg broke!" to each other. I've still got a scar on the back of my leg from some Colombian dude coming at me studs up in the park. In his defense, I'd tripped him twice when he had a good look at goal.🤣Also..that jitney that gets Roy the rest of the way to the stadium is the same one Keeley and Rebecca got drunk in after the player auction in an earlier episode. Keep an eye out for 'callbacks' like that, the people that made the show are amazing with that kind of stuff. Also..that free kick in E6..Dunster ("Jamie") really made it. I am so late to your watch party- but you mentioned that this seemed like a love story: there are several scenes that are plays off of rom-coms: When Harry Met Sally, Princess Bride, Jerry MacGuire, etc
Rainbows is hands down my favorite episode of the series. I always get choked up at Roy’s realization on the air and the whole journey of him getting to the game. Nothing could stop him from getting to that game. That’s when he found his purpose. So beautiful.
I like how Ted gives the speech about the dark forest being in the middle of any story, right in Season 2, Episode 5. Pretty much the midpoint of the series
Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso! He is mostly known as a comedian and was on SNL for many years. He was also very publicly going through his own relationship trauma during seasons 2 and 3 which makes everything feel more poignant. (His wife very publicly left him for Harry Styles).
Glad I found you, my dude. You've been giving amazing insights/opinions on the show that I would often not have the words for and often gives me a chance to see this show in a different way - having already watched seasons 1-2 twice (had to do a rewatch as s3 was coming out!). On top of that, you continue to share your brilliance with the different shows/movies. But this show? This show right here? It is... the most human show of all time. S1 Rebecca displayed that beautifully and your praise of her enjoying her life now, just living and being [almost] all smiles this season - she's been an amazing example for those who need to see what life can be like after such an awful marriage. I’m so glad I found your channel. Your reactions are so insightful. Please keep going. Also, thank you for explaining “park the bus.” I’ve heard the expression when I watch soccer, but I didn’t know what it meant.
Episode 6 has one of my favourite Baz, Jeremy and Paul moments when Rebecca's mom asks Mae if the lads could be bit more quiet about football. Turns out they're watching Bake-off and start chanting. "Poor little cake! Soggy bottom!"
Before Ted Lasso I think I only really saw Jason Sudeikis as a comedy actor; I really don’t remember anything he’s been in that wasn’t a comedy, but every role he’s ever done has been immersive and well-executed. I expected a comedy from this show and it gives us that plus so much more, with incredible acting to showcase an incredible story.
Sorry you are having struggles with UA-cam and the grind. Glad you are still here doing it though! Also remember it’s all about the Rom Communism! At the beginning of the ep we hear Higgins saying he heard she’s a rainbow from The Rolling Stones when he met is wife. As we see Roy go back to Richmond guess what song comes on? Yup Ted Lasso just knows how to tie things together so well.
@@FrankFreezy_ When you’re done with all three seasons, Google Ted Lasso Rom Com References and Ted Lasso Easter Eggs. You’ll want to watch the entire series all over again…and again and again and again.
Both the Roy Kent chant episodes, (and the Ted Lasso Barbecue Sauce darts story) were edited on TT and led me to search for more on the show. Which led me to you, can't wait to finish this series with you. & I hope that the whole Jurassic Park franchise makes it on to your list! Would love to see that also, just saying!
One of the only moments in all of Ted Lasso that I thought didn't align with previous character traits and actions, was when Rebecca told Higgins not to get involved, and not to talk to Beard about Jane. She spent the majority of season 1 being horrible to Higgins because he didn't tell her Rupert was cheating and get involved, and she wanted him to be a friend and tell her. But then she advises Higgins not to go to Beard and talk to him about Jane? I always felt like that didn't really jive with her character. Just my two cents.
Hmmm... I feel that when Rebecca overheard "You're a great man, does Jane make you greater?" is the first time she'd heard something like that put so well. (I know it was for me!) I suspect Flo tried to warn her during early days with Rupert, but she was blinded by love and couldn't see it (and Rupe-a-dupe probably set himself up so she couldn't; that's classic manipulation).
I’ve watched the series twice and countless reaction and just realize it’s odd that Rebecca would advise Higgins to not get involved since she yelled at Higgins for not getting involved and telling her about Rupert .
I still think it's probable that she wouldn't have believed Higgins (and I suspect that Flo tried to warn her too), and Higgins would *certainly* have lost his job when Rupert found out!

Frank, if you're concerned about the growth of the channel maybe you should consider interacting more with your audience. After all they're the drivers of that growth. Ted Lasso, the series you love so much - and which has a large and faithful following , and should be one the content streams that should be right up your alley - has minimal exchanges in the comments. You've got to invest the time to really interact if you want to grow. I'm writing after two hours of this being posted and there are only 7 comments (and as yet no replies from you). You've got a good heart, I'm confident you'll find the right balance between the other things that you invest your time in.
I hear your point but There's only so many comments I can respond to in a day. Running a channel is no small task. There are hundreds of comments every day from 100+ videos and responding to all of them is just impossible. Responding to comments is one of the seven to eight different things I do on a daily basis to make sure this channel is working effectively. Watching lots of content, editing, scheduling and running the Channel, making Patreon content, responding to comments, etc I do what I can when I can. I'm not like one of these big channels that have tons of editors, and moderators and are well-oiled machines. It's just me and I can only do so much. This video premiered at 9:00 a.m. CST. I haven't commented on those 7 comments you mentioned because I slept in. Because of editing videos till almost 1:00 a.m in the morning. In the last year and a half, I've worked on this channel so hard to the point of almost burning out and quitting multiple times. I know you meant no harm but you telling me to invest more time is kind of upsetting, because that's literally all I do when I am not occupied by my other life obligations, but I know you didn't know all this. So just consider this an insight that I am trying and investing as much as I can.
@@FrankFreezy_ You know I didn't mean to upset you, and that I totally get having a full schedule and many things - sometimes too many - to get done. Of course there are hundreds + of comments, and you can only do so much. Of course, I get it. How about looking at it this way: of all those comments at least half are cheerleader comments: " Love ya Frank!" "Loved the way you reacted to that scene..." " Wasn't that fun?!" , etc. Of course it would be nice to acknowledge everyone, but those comments, more often than not, hardly merit more an emoji. It's the comments that a viewer has devoted time to, questions, bringing up points etc. You know: like in a conversation? So maybe it's also picking the comments to address.
honestly from what I've seen Frank tends to respond a lot to comments and interact with them. Usually well thought out responses too, not just 1 word answers like a lot of content creators
Hey I’m just reiterating a point that someone else made. I am even hesitant to comment this, cause I don’t even know if you will read it or not. But one way to grow your channel is to drive up the interaction of the viewers with your videos wich then in turn will make your videos be recommended more. However, from when I subscribed to your channel I haven’t seen you interact with the comments at all which causes me to comment less because I feel like it would be pointless.
I hear you man. That's fair. I try to do as much as I can. But you have to keep in mind, for you commenting it's just one comment, but for me, it's 100 plus comments from dozens and dozens of videos a day. I can't get to all those comments every day. For what is worth, know that I do read all the comments
@@FrankFreezy_ I get what you’re saying and you’re right. However, social media isn’t like television where you create content, you publish it and done and over with. That’s the difference between the mainstream and new age media, social media is about building a community, mainstream media releases stuff and mostly it’s done, but with social media you get instant reactions and feedback. I get that answering comments is time consuming, but that is the trade off. That is the way of being a creator. You can dedicate a time after you publish the video and an alotted time during your day communicating with your audience and getting their reaction and feedback. Now, you can’t gauge my tone through written word so I want to emphasize that I’m saying this as a constructive criticism and with the best of intentions to see you grow, not to seek attention or to be rude. Much love.
I'm guessing that mic of yours has an X/Y stereo configuration on top? So you're recording in stereo, and when you move, the L-R image changes and it's very distracting. Collapse your audio down to mono (for your monologues) before rendering your video.
that moment when Roy steps back out onto the pitch and finds himself not only remembered, but embraced - gets me every time.
Absolutely. He deserves it😊😊

Much love.
@@RossPacino i hear you. thanks
I'm guessing that mic of yours has an X/Y stereo configuration on top? So you're recording in stereo, and when you move, the L-R image changes and it's very distracting.
Collapse your audio down to mono (for your monologues) before rendering your video.
Thank you. I was unsure of how to do that, but I looked up a UA-cam video and did it. And the audio already sounds 10 times better.
@@FrankFreezy_ Glad I could help. I am an audio engineer so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
@@Wizardofgosz that's so cool. Much appreciated
can you react to interview with the vampire, the 2022 tv series not the movie?
@@simple_scribe i’m actually considering it. A few people have been recommending it to me.
@@FrankFreezy_ yesss I would love to see your reactions for it! It's an amazing show and I can't get it out of my head.
Yes yes yes. Episode 1 of Interview with the Vampire drops in 30mins😁
