He preached frequently at my Howe church Hamilton Congregational Church. His Harvest crusades of their time brought him to Philadelphia. The name ," holy club" was a derisive , sarcastic term . It's like ,"Jesus freaks" this is 100% inaccurate. They were Evangelical from the start. They were not fundamentalist, or moralistic. Grorge Whutefield was ordained amd regularly preached in New England. Specifically 1st Congregationalst Chur h in Newburyport.

They weren't fundamentalist? So they didn't preach the virgin birth? Were the death burial and resurrection of Christ not a part of their message?
