Old Minecraft had so much wonder before you got accustomed to it, like finding a dog in the wild for the first time, it light my eyes up as I tried to get bones in a hurry to tame it.
This video really struck me. I'm a little older than you, 24 but it's crazy to hear basically the same childhood. So many emotions that I can relate with but never could put into words to describe to anyone outside our generation.
Minecraft was the only game I could play with friends on my awful school-provided laptop, and for that it has a special place in my heart - even if I was only averaging like 15fps on the lowest settings. I still remember smuggling it into my room to play late at night under the covers, because I wasn't allowed to have electronics in my room after a certain time. I did get caught after a while, but it was worth it
damn. this video is so strong. it’s almost a sucker punch. i’ll always remember my old 360 worlds, even my pocket edition world from when i was like 7. Minecraft is definitely my favorite game of all time, and a lot of that definitely has to do with the time i spent playing as a kid. i love this game so much, and thanks for reminding me why i liked it so much in the first place
My best memories of Minecraft was playing on my first world ever on the Xbox 360. I always played it until I switched to a different console, but the memories of building my older brother a house made of diamond and glowstone will live forever. It’s sad too, because I can’t pick up the game anymore and play, because it doesn’t feel the same to me. But that’s ok, this isn’t my game anymore, this is for the new set of kids who just got a Xbox for Christmas, and even if I might not ever play again, I’m glad someone somewhere just discovered one of the greatest games of all time
When I was 10 years old, my friend introduced me to a game that would change my life forever: Minecraft. At first, I didn't quite understand what the game was about. All I knew was that I could build things and explore a seemingly endless world filled with monsters and treasures. As I delved deeper into the game, I discovered that Minecraft was so much more than just a game. Minecraft was my escape from reality. It was a place where I could build anything I wanted, without limitations. I could build towering castles, intricate redstone machines, or even a simple farm. The possibilities were endless, and that's what made the game so addictive. As I spent more and more time playing Minecraft, I realized that it wasn't just about building things. It was about community. Minecraft had an amazing online community filled with people who loved the game just as much as I did. I made friends from all over the world, and we would spend hours playing together, building massive structures, and going on adventures. One of my fondest memories of Minecraft was building a massive rollercoaster with my friends. We spent weeks gathering resources, designing the track, and testing it out. When it was finally finished, we invited our entire server to come and ride it. It was an amazing experience, and I felt so proud of what we had created together. As I look back on those days, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. Minecraft was more than just a game; it was a part of my life. It was there for me when I needed an escape, when I needed to unwind, or when I just wanted to hang out with my friends. Even though I don't play it as much anymore, Minecraft will always hold a special place in my heart. In conclusion, Minecraft was a game that impacted my life in ways that I never could have imagined. It taught me the value of creativity, community, and exploration. And even though I've moved on to other games, Minecraft will always be a part of who I am.
this video actually felt pretty personal. as a kid, i loved lbp a ton as well, played the hell out of it. i was introduced to the internet properly through my tablet as well, watching whatever youtubers were popular back then too (mostly minecraft though). i also used to play the pocket edition of minecraft a ton, then eventually got the ps3 edition (but it was too late, the ps4 had already come out so the community was mostly nonexistent). im really glad that im not the only one with similar experiences. having the ability to share them with other people and reminisce on what used to be is really the closest we can get to actually going back and soaking in the bliss of our less responsible past. thank you so much for making this.
This is one of the few things able to move me to tears, everything was put into words so damn well and I fucking love that you showed appreciation to C418's work. They have sadly updated and changed the timeless soundtrack in more recent updates which I think is a loss, I wish they had given the ability to keep it with the new content aswell. Amazing video.
minecraft deffo played a huge role in forming the person I am today, been playing the thing for over half my life at this point and i still can't put the game down lmao. there is definitely something about it that just brings you back to that happy place that no other game will probably ever be able to achieve - good video mr cobra
This really is an video that hits so hard man, even for someone who never played Minecraft that much, you've captured something so transcendent of that.
Music nostalgia is best, aside of minecraft soundtrack any time I for example hear any soundtrack from Asssassin's creed Ezio trilogy it hits me so much, god Ezio's family gives me feels of happiness, sadness, I'm crying, I'm smiling, god nostalgia is best or even it's been only 5 years it released, red dead redemption 2 have such nostalgic soundtrack already Also jesus dude, your last part of video, I completely agree, we grew up so fast, I remember till this day like halfway through last year of elementary school during break between teaching hours, everyone around me was talking and I suddenly went like in my head: oh my god .... it's only 6 months till this ends, I will stop going to school with this group of people forever ever since then time started moving so fast for me, then high school went so fast and like jesus, now I'm working for few years and ... god love is crazy and yeah looking back at careless memories of me and boys playing cod 4, minecraft, cs sourse after school not having single responsibility in the world, jesus man I want to cry
I think Minecraft will always hold a special part in my heart , it was the first game I bought online after convincing my parents to use their card on the big scary internet and after watching crafting recipe tutorials, stumbling across herobrine theories the yogscasts shadow of israphel - it made the game much more than just silly block game, beautiful video Cobra x
When I look back on my childhood, Minecraft was definitely a massive part of it. That game that allowed my to escape to another place if I ever had anything going on, or just wanting to play with my mates.
Minecraft will forever be my favorite game. It remains as it was. Updates come, but unlike live-service, forever online games like Overwatch, you don’t *have* to update. If you play single player, and don’t want all the new content, you don’t have to. Just make a separate instance in the launcher, set it to your desired version, and you can stay within that version. It doesn’t matter if you log out and return the same time the next day, or log out, grow up, and return years later, it will all remain there, just as you left it.
I got minecraft during beta and that version still holds a huge amount of nostalgia with the shitty lighting engine and the strange but fun world generation. I do like the updates preceding then but I all ways find my self hopping into a beta version to try and capture that childhood wonder.
Man, i was probably too young to really get into it, but even then Minecraft gave me so much memories of messing around with my friends, siblings and cousins... I was never good a building or anything, i mean i was like 8, but it was so much fun! Too bad Minecraft just doesn't appeal with to me anymore, everyone talking about how good it is just makes me and some others feel left out.
Thoroughly entertaining video, Mr. Arlus. I know for how long you've been doing this you seem a little underappreciated algorithmically and viewwise; but the people who do tune into your videos enjoy them a lot. Look foreword to the next one brudda.
I remember my brother showing me minecraft in 2010 and he seemed to just find it boring, so he gave me his mimnecraft user and minecraft ended up being almost the only game i played with friends for over 6 years. This video resonates with me a lot, I also very recently moved from my childhood home and have had a lot of things happening in life the past 7 years that've kind off forced me to grow up, and looking back on the time I used to play minecraft because everything in life was so peaceful and great and I'd love to just be able to go back in time to completely relive those memories
That Video was so great I forgot I liked it when I started watching, so I just wanted to like and subscribe a second time but sadly I cant. I loved watching it but at the same time it made me feel kinda empty and in some way sad.
Wow this video was so good, I was surprised by the sub count and view count I’m sorry the video did bad but it’s ok atleast you get to have fun making these things and uploading it even if it’s to only a thousand people those 1000 people get to be the only 1000 so keeping the pool small makes it more valuable so I like that you aren’t big and the video is big don’t be sad
I, LtCobra, will explain how Minecraft was more than a game for me, and to hopefully many of you watching. Minecraft was a game that was the epitome of that childhood imagination we all once had, unleashing creative freedoms into a video game that allowed you to build, craft, and make anything you ever wanted. In this video essay I hope to show you guys what Minecraft has truly meant to me, and take you through the journey of the greatest games ever made…
Minecraft's nostalgia hits me hard. I remember exploring infinite worlds, digging for hours, and building towering structures with my friends. The sense of community we created back then was unforgettable. It was a special time.

I haven’t cried in a while. This is so true. I miss the old days of Minecraft and all the nostalgia. I needed this. Thank you.
Truly makes us want to rewind time doesn't it
Old Minecraft had so much wonder before you got accustomed to it, like finding a dog in the wild for the first time, it light my eyes up as I tried to get bones in a hurry to tame it.
This deserves more attention.
hopefully it's evergreen I'm just glad i was able to share something special with people
unironically made me tear up because of how relatable and true it is.

Minecraft was surprisingly important to my life, as playing with redstone and watching youtubers play mods is what led to me learning how to code.
