- In the PDP, there are speculations that the impeachment of former deputy governor Philip Shaibu has negatively impacted the party's image and could lead to the defection of key members sympathetic to Shaibu to the APC. The visit of the APC's State Chairman to Shaibu shortly after his impeachment further fueled these speculations. To address these concerns, PDP governorship candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo emphasized the importance of unity among party members and the need to strategize effectively to defeat the APC. He urged stakeholders to resolve internal issues within the party for a stronger stance in upcoming political contests.

Why bring two APC apologists to the station to speak on politics in Edo State. How balanced is this reportage? Quite a shame. I’m going black list this station for lack of the basic requisite for fair journalism.
