I hope we'll be able to travel to Slovenia for Christmas to visit our families and explore a bit. With that new variant of Covid it is a bit uncertain at the moment if Switzerland (where we live) will impose quarantine again or not.

We’re going back to where it all began ☺️ It feels a little surreal at the moment 😅 Hahaha Tom is actually the packing expert - I usually bring too many things but cut back this trip and my bag is much lighter (although we need to do washing every 4 days, especially in this heat). We went from Cancun pretty quickly to Oaxaca - then to Sun Jose Del Pacifico and now we find ourselves on the Sunny Coast of Puerto Escondido 🏖 We have no set plans though - kind of going with the flow at this point! Where were your favourite places!?
@@EmilyandTom That's awesome! Puerto Escondido has been our favorite beach destination in Mexico by far! The people, the food and everything about that place is so magical. The only issue with Puerto is their internet and phone phone signal they have very poor signal. There are only a couple places that provide good internet signal and those are Selina Hostel and Losodeli. We have a pretty good guide on Puerto Escondido if you guys want to check it out. Mexico has so many places but Guanajuato city, San Miguel de Allende and Queretaro are great places to visit. It all depends what you are looking for, how was San Jose del Pacifico? We want to go there
@@EatBailaTravel Hahaha we have already discovered the slow internet and phone signal 😅 but it’s okay we found a stable connection at the place were staying after it dropped out for enough time to do our proper downloading. Thank you so much for the suggestions - will definitely head there if we have more problems (which I’m sure we will). But we already love it here! Such a chill vibe - we’ll be extending our stay here for sure! We will DEFINITELY watch your video - we need some inspiration! Awesome we shall check them out ☺️ San Jose was amazing - the place we stayed was probably one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been to. It was so peaceful and beautiful and Tom absolutely loves being in the mountains. We would definitely recommend going there especially if you like hiking 🥾

It was long - but the day was definitely longer, we had to fight that jet lag hard 😅 We did have a lovely time in Cancun, unfortunately not much partying because Tom had a cold but it did look super fun, and everyone was having a great time at our hostel. Hahah there was definitely no swimming in that lake - we stuck to the beaches 😂

Yes! They’re definitely a mix of both 😂 yesterday we finished a 41 hour travel day from Cancun to Oaxaca and besides being exhausted it really wasn’t too bad haha. Tom has a background in photography but then last year started making films for churches which is when he got really into it. So we don’t have much of a background, just mainly learning from others and reflecting on our own work to try and make it engaging as possible ☺️

Yes!! We were in the same hostel dorm 😂 we didn't become a thing for a few months later but we became great friends first and it just happened naturally 🤷♀️ we do love our story though 😊 thank you much for your lovely comments, that's all Tom's magic! London has eased restrictions so it's not mandatory to wear masks anymore, although in Mexico it is! We just took our masks off to quickly film sometimes so the audio wasn't muffled. We ❤️ that plane gin and tonic! Whoah!! Those are some long flights - that would have been a long travel day!! I think it depends on the airline also - most people were wearing masks on the flight. ahh you guys are the best!! Thanks so SO much for all your lovely comments. See you guys VERY soon ❤️

Yeah it was a surprisingly smooth trip 😅 We were literally anticipating something to go wrong along the way or our bags not to turn up like they did in Europe haha - but it was all great! We haven’t flown from Gatwick in what feels like an eternity 😩 we hate flying from Heathrow just for the expense on car parking etc. our longest flights 13 hours to Costa Rica so worth the wait. Tom was initially upset because his favourite airport is Heathrow but then we ended up really enjoying Gatwick 😂 Ohhh yes 13 hours is such a long flight! Did you guys get jet lagged? We feel to lucky to be underway right now 🙌🏼 Hahahah YES! We had just passed security but were still in the section and a reasonably nice man came and asked us to view to footage and delete it… 😅 The internet hasn’t been too bad so far but I think when we head more remote and coastal I’m sure it may start to get a little spotty with the WiFi

Hahahaha yes! Getting from Cornwall to London was a day in its own. There was weird flooding when we left so a 6 hour train turned into like a 12 hour train because everything shut down 😅 Luckily we spent a few days in London seeing friends and collecting the last few things so we weren’t too rushed. Do you guys have any ties left in Portsmouth?

Hello! We actually didn’t need to show proof of the vaccine when entering Mexico. I think it’s one of the few countries that doesn’t require anything to enter it (we didn’t even need to do a PCR test). So glad you enjoyed the video though ☺️

We’re going back to where it all began ☺️ It feels a little surreal at the moment 😅 Hahaha Tom is actually the packing expert - I usually bring too many things but cut back this trip and my bag is much lighter (although we need to do washing every 4 days, especially in this heat). We went from Cancun pretty quickly to Oaxaca - then to Sun Jose Del Pacifico and now we find ourselves on the Sunny Coast of Puerto Escondido 🏖 We have no set plans though - kind of going with the flow at this point! Where were your favourite places!?
@@EmilyandTom That's awesome! Puerto Escondido has been our favorite beach destination in Mexico by far! The people, the food and everything about that place is so magical. The only issue with Puerto is their internet and phone phone signal they have very poor signal. There are only a couple places that provide good internet signal and those are Selina Hostel and Losodeli. We have a pretty good guide on Puerto Escondido if you guys want to check it out. Mexico has so many places but Guanajuato city, San Miguel de Allende and Queretaro are great places to visit. It all depends what you are looking for, how was San Jose del Pacifico? We want to go there
@@EatBailaTravel Hahaha we have already discovered the slow internet and phone signal 😅 but it’s okay we found a stable connection at the place were staying after it dropped out for enough time to do our proper downloading. Thank you so much for the suggestions - will definitely head there if we have more problems (which I’m sure we will). But we already love it here! Such a chill vibe - we’ll be extending our stay here for sure! We will DEFINITELY watch your video - we need some inspiration! Awesome we shall check them out ☺️ San Jose was amazing - the place we stayed was probably one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been to. It was so peaceful and beautiful and Tom absolutely loves being in the mountains. We would definitely recommend going there especially if you like hiking 🥾

Great vlog! We got stuck on London to Mexico City flight for 17 hours when it redirected to USA due to a storm a few weeks ago, was a long one! But still an adventure!

It was long - but the day was definitely longer, we had to fight that jet lag hard 😅 We did have a lovely time in Cancun, unfortunately not much partying because Tom had a cold but it did look super fun, and everyone was having a great time at our hostel. Hahah there was definitely no swimming in that lake - we stuck to the beaches 😂

Yes! They’re definitely a mix of both 😂 yesterday we finished a 41 hour travel day from Cancun to Oaxaca and besides being exhausted it really wasn’t too bad haha.
Tom has a background in photography but then last year started making films for churches which is when he got really into it. So we don’t have much of a background, just mainly learning from others and reflecting on our own work to try and make it engaging as possible ☺️

AWW BACKPACKING in CHILE!!! That is soooo cute and romantic. Your camera cuts are amazing and love all the details. Love it! Realized you didn't have to wear masks. Was it not required going through the airport in London? Yay OPEN MIDDLE SEAT! GIN & Tonic is what we're all about! Wedee just flew ORD to LAX to LHR to IST and the masks were very strict. Yes!! We were in the same hostel dorm 😂 we didn't become a thing for a few months later but we became great friends first and it just happened naturally 🤷♀️ we do love our story though 😊 thank you much for your lovely comments, that's all Tom's magic! London has eased restrictions so it's not mandatory to wear masks anymore, although in Mexico it is! We just took our masks off to quickly film sometimes so the audio wasn't muffled. We ❤️ that plane gin and tonic! Whoah!! Those are some long flights - that would have been a long travel day!! I think it depends on the airline also - most people were wearing masks on the flight. ahh you guys are the best!! Thanks so SO much for all your lovely comments. See you guys VERY soon ❤️

Yeah it was a surprisingly smooth trip 😅 We were literally anticipating something to go wrong along the way or our bags not to turn up like they did in Europe haha - but it was all great! We haven’t flown from Gatwick in what feels like an eternity 😩 we hate flying from Heathrow just for the expense on car parking etc. our longest flights 13 hours to Costa Rica so worth the wait. So glad you guys have re started your adventure 🙌🏼 haha naughty what did you film security area by any chance 🤭?

Tom was initially upset because his favourite airport is Heathrow but then we ended up really enjoying Gatwick 😂 Ohhh yes 13 hours is such a long flight! Did you guys get jet lagged? We feel to lucky to be underway right now 🙌🏼 Hahahah YES! We had just passed security but were still in the section and a reasonably nice man came and asked us to view to footage and delete it… 😅 The internet hasn’t been too bad so far but I think when we head more remote and coastal I’m sure it may start to get a little spotty with the WiFi
hahaha "smells like airport" 😂 And exceeding the bag limits is honestly one of my biggest fears ever when taking planes. Glad you guys made it, though! And that view from the hostel was sooo cool! I'm so excited for your Cancun adventures, guys!

Hahahaha yes! Getting from Cornwall to London was a day in its own. There was weird flooding when we left so a 6 hour train turned into like a 12 hour train because everything shut down 😅 Luckily we spent a few days in London seeing friends and collecting the last few things so we weren’t too rushed. Do you guys have any ties left in Portsmouth?

Doing the same trip from Gatwick in a couple of days.... 11hrs so not looking forward to the flight.

If we ever get monetised we would love to come to the states! I have always wanted to go, and Tom has always wanted to go back. It’s just a little expensive for our budget at the moment. But maybe by the end of next year 🤞 🤞

Hello! We actually didn’t need to show proof of the vaccine when entering Mexico. I think it’s one of the few countries that doesn’t require anything to enter it (we didn’t even need to do a PCR test). So glad you enjoyed the video though ☺️
