Nice I love it 😍, I have a feeling that this may be the intro theme to every Dark Pictures game, it suits to be the anthem of the entire anthology and I'm excited ether way If Until Dawn was made into an actual movie then this could be the intro song lol🤣
I grew up listening to the Ralph Stanley version of this song, as I'm from VA and this is a VERY old Appalachian folk song. I heard this song and other iterations longggg before it became famous in the "O Brother Where Art Thou" movie - it was actually weird to see it go mainstream when I had seen so many of those peformers live and in person as a young kid. I once had a large extended family, and so many have died, included my own mother in her 40s from cancer. It's now mainly my little sister and I, and our aging grandparents. When they are gone, it will essentially just be us. I am too chronically ill to have children, and she wants them, but faces the same issue. When I heard this playing at the beginning of "The Devil in Me" the other day, it brought tears to my eyes, because I've always wanted this song redone like this. For the longest time, I've felt like it's been me holding my much younger sister, trying to hide her from a horrid world, with death looking at us both just over in the distance. An inevitable fate. A version of our future I never imagined we'd be in. The opening lyrics...I can relate to that desire so much. Not only for my own selfish desires to survive, but because who will be here for her, since Death has already taken so much from us both?
Love the continuation of O'death vibes into metal all of sudden. Gave me chills straight away plus now this is one of my favorite songs. Great job guys you should be proud
Shame how other channels are taking the views from the real artists. Great song! Help spread the word that this is the band's channel from "A conversation with Death"
I am currently running a D&D campaign set in the wild west; and Death is represented by an old man in a top hat with a banjo. This is absolutely going to be his boss theme if they ever try to attack him.
[My copy-pasted comment from a different video.] "Southern" and "folk" were exactly what came to my mind when I first heard this song. What an absolute masterpiece! I did wonder if it may have been Volbeat who did this because the lead singer has a similar voice. Absolutely beautiful. Jacksepticeye playing The Man of Medan brought me here.
I've never played these kinds of games so I don't know where the story is going. I though the Man of Medan was gonna be the guy in the suit, but no. Like a private investigator or something? Pretty funny playthrough so far though
John Curry These games are kind of like “choose your own adventure” in a way I guess. You make decisions throughout the game on what to say and what to do and it impacts how the story plays out. They are fun experiences because it makes for multiple endings and playthroughs! But yeah the issues with it have been pretty funny, I hope they fix them though.
@@johncurry7225 Watch until dawn, it is the first game from the creators of that one. Way better to. It's also on Mark's channel, he put a link in his video
It seems to be an intentional theme tying the games together. Same song, different artists and styles. I’m interested to see if they continue the pattern in the 3rd game.
Not gonna lie, when I heard that first “Ooooooooo deeeeaaath”, I flipped out cause I’m a HUGE fan of Until Dawn, and I’m SOOOO glad they brought back that awesome song!!!!!
Idk how can someone be a huge fan of until dawn, to be honest I like Until Dawn but I don't think it was that good... There are too many moments of quiet with no enemies to be found and the choices mean little to nothing in the completation of the game. And I found bs the fact that the characters can die only in certain moments, it reduces all the tension for me. Detroit become human is a game where choices actually matter.
The Strong I do agree that Detroit was much better at handling the consequences part, but in Until Dawn, at least we were given a lot of time to get to know these characters and maybe even care for them. Man of Medan kinda lost that aspect, and we wind up with less characters we don’t care about.
@@Zeddyboi86 in my first playthrough matt and emily died and literally no one mentioned them again till the end of the game like they never existed, jessica was simply unplayable for like 90% of the game (keeping her alive is pointless...) And they don't even show how she is rescued at the end of the game since she never ever joins the group again... Also I thought all the things you find in the game would have helped you for something but instead they were also mostly useless. Wtf?
The Strong True. I think those three are the easiest to get killed, so they were given the least urgency. You are right though: I wish they gave more importance to small things they find.

@@zeepixplays9804 Don't know really. Next time you're on the game choose the anthology collection. It will let you view a trailer for all the games they have out. Even seeing Devil inside me I still don't really know what it's about.
@@wanderingsoul2530 ah, so devil inside me isn't out yet, and its the trailer after beating house of ashes. Gotcha.
@@wanderingsoul2530 devil in me trailer doesn’t give a lot of description of what’s going to happen but i have a feeling it’s going to be the best one so far out of the anthology
Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes brought me here 😍😍
Nice I love it 😍, I have a feeling that this may be the intro theme to every Dark Pictures game, it suits to be the anthem of the entire anthology and I'm excited ether way
If Until Dawn was made into an actual movie then this could be the intro song lol🤣
This song is beautiful
I started playing this game and went to iTunes and bought it! Freakin awesome!
Best version of this song! Keep doing what you're doing Khemmis. 🖤
Yeah this song is Best of all time😊😊
This is from the official channel
i love that they kept the same intro song, but different version. this is soooo good!
Holy shit nice one guys, hopefully you'll get some more recognition from this.
I just started this and did NOT expect this metal song. Dope as hell
I genuinely thought the intro to this song was "Whoooooooo dis?" 😂
Every year I excitedly start the new game anticipating for this music to hit!! It's the best game intro sequence!
I knew this song through the little hope game, I believe it is from the same creators of until down .. I found the track with that sound incredible!
I like this. It’s a heavy metal cover of a song from one of my favorite movies.
I am currently running a D&D campaign set in the wild west; and Death is represented by an old man in a top hat with a banjo. This is absolutely going to be his boss theme if they ever try to attack him.
Make it the Curator
Dude thats badass
I never skipped the intro for any of the games I had to listen to this every time
Heard this fantastic song during one of Squeezie live and fell in love with it!
[My copy-pasted comment from a different video.]
"Southern" and "folk" were exactly what came to my mind when I first heard this song. What an absolute masterpiece! I did wonder if it may have been Volbeat who did this because the lead singer has a similar voice.
Absolutely beautiful. Jacksepticeye playing The Man of Medan brought me here.
Every time i listen to these guys i start wondering if i should go on a quest or maybe get a horse so i can ride off to battle
Can’t stop listening! Great job dark pictures for choosing Khemmis for this kickass introduction music!
R.i.p Tony pankhurst❤❤
The only soundtrack that diverted my attention from a game trailer... absolutely love the work!
Came here after Markiplier’s playthrough, I was just as pleasantly surprised by this song 😂 the intro is killer.
Dragon Hero Yes!! I loved Mark’s playthrough. I might actually rewatch that one in prep for this one!
@@johncurry7225 he is death yes death
Markipliers reaction to this song is the funniest thing in the entire playthrough.
Supermassive really like this song, don't they? It was in both Until Dawn and Man of Medan
Slightly different lyrics this time though.
It seems to be an intentional theme tying the games together. Same song, different artists and styles. I’m interested to see if they continue the pattern in the 3rd game.
I just love this song both for itself and bc it introduces the curator 😍
This made me feel like I was actually playing a sequel of until dawn.
I love this song and listen to it alot after hearing it in the games x
Am I the only one who heard "Oooooohhhh daaaammnnn" in the beginning? 😂
If you want lyrical video, you can search it
This song is amazing. I was blown away when I first heard it. Probably one of the best game intros I’ve ever heard.
vidya trailers lead me to something just as beautiful to what they're selling once again
This is so underrated and not talking about the game but the song
This is so kick ass... thanks guys for giving us this song to listen to.
Who’s here since Little Hope got the same intro as Man of Medan?
Edit: want to clarify for myself that it’s always going to be same intro on every Dark Picture Games
All games will have the same music intro , expect every game will have different background movements, pictures on wall etc
Goosebumps overall. I Love this

The song that plays while an old man who needs a compass to get to his office walks through halls.
How does this work so well?
Who's ready to run from elemental zombie cenobites in 9 days?
I really hope this song is still in the intro.
