As a designer, I can emphatically recommend the cream Aga. For 2 reasons: 1. This is an investment piece and cream is the color you are least likely to tire of in 20 years. 2. Your current kitchen is all mid or medium tones. Your cabinets, floors, and current counters are all in this medium shade range. If you are to add dark to the counters, you will need to also introduce some light elements to avoid feeling stuffy and heavy. The current Aga being a light color with the shiny enamel bounces a considerable amount of light into the space. Try hanging a dark fabric over it to reveal how much light it contributes to the space from the nearby window. Your kitchen is also currently balanced between warm and cool tones. Replacing the Aga and the grey stone with warm and dark tones is going to create a more dull and nap-inducing vibe that can appear dingier on camera. Most people want to feel energized in their kitchen and not like curling up for a nap after breakfast. A quick photoshop overlay or your existing counters and Aga (or a more investment rendering from a designer) can reveal the full picture in ways simple visualizing cannot. I think Charlie's rejection of the mid tone green is because he intuitively knows your kitchen is already all mid tone and it will not enhance the aesthetic. Following that, Josie's rejection of the dark tone is her understanding that it is an already light deprived space (compared to modern kitchens and aesthetics) and will drag down the appearance and mood of her content.
Fellow designer here 🤎 totally agree with the above. Maybe order some more samples as well. And as an Aga is a big investment, it’s better to try and pair it with the stone wall, beams and the limestone floors. And not the wall colour, as that is something you are going to change in a year or two 😊 and as KerenKroll mentioned above, Photoshop is definitely going to help you before purchasing onexx
You’re right! They must think long term. Cream is the way to go. My mother chose everything green and of course, that color fell out of style. Cream would be a wise choice
Agree, 100% - I vote for the cream color. The Aga is a purchase for decades and in that time styles and color choices will change many times but a cream Aga will never go out of style.
I was making my bed when I started your flog and had to stop immediately when I heard you reading. I wish you would do that more often. Your voice put to those words and images was so calming and peaceful. With the world in such turmoil your vlogs help us escape to a better place for a while. Thank you so much. Much love to you and Charlie.
I loved the darker green, but who knows what they'll decide. I enjoy seeing & learning from Charlie's passion & knowledge. However, it's also lovely to hear him admit when he doesn't quite know. Lovely vlog all about!
I like you videos better than any other program and you more than any celebrity. You do a brilliant job on creating a view into a magical place like no other.
Just had to pop on to say how much I appreciate the shoutouts to other influencers who have inspired you and your outfits. It’s a kindness and feels very genuine and I’ve been happy to follow or continue following every one of them!
I really love how much you lift other women up and have found many other great creators like Alex and Lauren through you. Your down to earth nature and lovely taste really got me in the fall mood. Thank you ❤
I really love the lighter green (the sage color). The dark green counters with the dark green Aga will cause the kitchen to look dark overall. So unless that's the look you are going for I think the cream or the sage green is the way to go.
Listening to your introduction to Fall is so lovely and soothing. You should read a short poem to start the VLOG each time now lol! What a wonderful & pleasant surprise! I look forward to your VLOG each day after work! The pumpkin ice cream & Chai Latte looked so delish! Yummm! Love your current elegant timeless AGA color. But if you have to change it, then the Sage looks good. Love that pumpkin color knit dress on you! Enjoyed watching the Farm trip too! TY, Josie!
Josie, hearing you talk about other influencers so positively is amazing, you don't talk about them as competitors and it's truly admirable 🥰 Also, I 100% understand your spider fear, I am absolutely terrified by them
I loved the opening reading of your vlog today with the corresponding images, well done you! And how you kept the cosy cardigan autumnal vibe going the whole way through. 🍁🧡
The autumn journal reading stopped me in my tracks. The season I love and miss the most when it is gone. I have the River Cottage 'year' which is easily my favourite cooking book of all time 💗🧡💗
It would be interesting to hear what all needs to get into keeping up a house like this, from the gardeners, cleaners, heating, repairs on an old house like that, just because I wouldn’t have any idea
Hi Josie I agree with your pick of the Aga colour as it aligns with the walls and it’ll bring everything together. Hear her out Charlie! ( I guess I’m still struggling to find out the benefit of the Aga because one can’t adjust the heat . I guess it is specific function for an older home with no central heating. ) ❤️🇨🇦
Josie, you are so hardworking & committed. I totally respect you. What an enjoyable moment to watch your vlogs. You always keep us update & that's, just that,❤❤❤
The beginning of your vlog is lovely. Since an Aga is a lifetime purchase, I vote for a cream colored one - it will always match any future kitchen color scheme. I am amazed at how beautiful your garden is in mid-October! We love cozy cardigans here in SC too!!
We had an Aga powered by anthracite back in the 50's/60's, and it was like walking into a big fat hug when we came home from school in the winter. Back then it wasn't considered a status symbol just something country people had in their homes, however, one of my daughters friends had a kitchen update recently, and paid 10,000 pounds for her lovely large aga, which is what I paid for my not very big kitchen!!!!!!!! WOWZER!!!!!
My parents still have their wood fired aga here in Ireland, it has heated our small irish cottage during winter for generations. It is cream and has never dated! The top left is the fire, top right is the oven. Bottom left is where to empty the ashes and the bottom right is storage for sticks for the fire! It is so common to come in from the cold and 'warm our bums' standing infront of the aga. Great memories around our family aga :)
I love the vanilla for the aga stove. It seems to be the most neutral and versatile. Where if you ever decide to update your kitchen 30 years from now you could easily keep that and change other tile/walls/floors. ☺️
Loved this intro Josie! Just over here doing all the worky bits today and you've been great company haha! You're right it's definitely cardigan season 🍂
I just had to pause to say what an amazing intro! I really really enjoyed your reading and the accompanying clips of you in the garden and greenhouse. So comforting
Love the vlog as always, I really appreciate how down to retry you are and “real”! Looking forward to getting into my fall and winter cardigans too! Thank you for all your efforts that you put into your vlogs
My grandparents had a wood fired Aga. They weren’t wealthy or snobby. It was the best thing ever - I always remember the baking and cooking smells from the Aga.
This was such a treat, wow!!!🤩 Loved the reading…nothing short of amazing! I so enjoy watching you my dear Josie. Thanks so much for your efforts in bringing us these consistently lovely vlogs. Love from California 💕
Oh, Josie … That opening, the reading and the images, is stunning and Autumnally stunning!! Very moving and I could’ve listened to your lovely voice and those words for much longer. Thanks to Julius for the gorgeous words and to you for the beautiful montage. Feeling in love with the season. … Enjoying all your lovely cooking and clothes content lately - very inspiring. Thank you!!
🍂 I dearly love the way your videos now are drawing me closer to the earth...our delicate environment and helps me focus on being more careful not only with my health but with the environment that our lives depend on...thank you. 😊
Hello Josie, as we ease into autumn, my favourite season, watching your content is very enjoyable and gives me lots of ideas for the new season. The various Cardigans that you've shown us in the last few videos have inspired me to get some new ones and pull out some old ones. PS, I watched the video to the end and thoroughly enjoyed it. 😅 Keep up the good work.😊
I’d definitely get the lighter coloured Aga. The lighter colour will make your whole kitchen look lighter, and in the U.K. we need as much light as possible in our homes - especially out of the summer months. Lighter environments lift our mood 🌞
I can't help but watch and listen to the introduction of your vlog on repeat, Autumn and spring are my 2 seasons dear to my heart. I have never been bored watching you evolve over the years. Magnifique vlog 🤩 I loved the voice over, at the beginning of the vlog 💕 Thank you so much Josie for this exceptional moment passed with you as always ✨💖🙏
What a wonderful vlog. The content and production are perfection. It really shows how much effort you put in. It is paying dividends by having superior content. Loved your “cardigan”. Looking forward to seeing the new green AGA!
Dear Josie, Love the intro of you reading, what can I say you inspire us so much ! Your blogs get better and better! I also wanted to say, I have never been a big fan of cardigans and knits but seeing all the beautiful ones you have. I learn to appreciate and love them ! Thank’s to you, now I’m investing on my cardigan collection. Best UA-cam couple ! ❤🇨🇦
I love wearing a cardigan, don’t you? What projects do you have planned for the winter? Can’t wait for your kitchen makeover! Yes, still watching and loving you 🥰
I like the Olive green color too. In the US cast iron stoves were all they used in the 1800's early 1900's. They were enameled as well, and in the 40's they started looking more like the shape of your stove. I really liked the history Charlie shared. I also wanted to say your granola sounds delicious and that I use a recipe by Dorie Greenspan, and its a no stir nuggety type. It has ground ginger and cardomom and I love it! ❤
Such a wonderful intro to the vlog. I agree with you Josie regarding the colour of the Aga, it needs to be the sage green and not the British racing green. The stone colour of the walls and floors will break up the colour of the walls and the Aga being the same colour as the walls.
Your autumn reading was lovely. Fall is such a wonderful and cozy time. I have an English Rose named Just Joey. It's a beautiful apricot color with a warm scent and it's still booming! It looks lovely in summer and fall bouquets. Soon it will sleep until spring. Yes to classical music and a lovely autumn drive while wearing a fluffy cardigan. 🍂
Hi Josie, I agree with you on the color of the Aga. I think the color would make the kitchen look fresh. The brown silk skirt probably just needs fabric softener.
I needed this today. Lots of sadness in my house today. Thank you for reading that little blurb. It was very relaxing and brought a little tear to my eye. Loved the aga info. We are saving up for one to heat the main floor when the kids move out . We are going to get an electric one and hook it up with solar! I'm with Josie as far as color. You have the dark marble on the counter on either side and even the back tiles. Then you have the sage green stove. The tones are similar, which is what you want.
So sorry to read about your daughter's friend, I lost my favorite doctor to cancer today. Such an awful disease. Sending good wishes for you and your daughter.
Been loving your latest videos even more than normal! The homey autumn recipes have been great. Have you shared the cinnamon ice cream recipe in a video yet? I’m wondering if I’ve missed or forgotten it.
Yesterday I ordered the yoga leggins you have, and just today I’ve recieved them. I have to tell you they are absolutely amazing, they fit perfect, are so soft and the thing I love the most is that they are just the perfect lenght for me, I’m a petite kind of girl: LOVE THEM, thank you Josie for showing us good quality and practical clothes.
Thank you for starting to include the names of the other influencers who inspire you!! I love to soak up the luxurious countryside vibes and it's so fun to see who you are pulling your inspo from. I'm hoping to find a Midwestern USA Josie one day to fill in that local brand recommendation gap. 😆 Now it's time to wrap up in a cardigan and watch more cozy vlogs! 😜😜
...your garden is so lovely and must be a wonderful way to continue to be rooted. There is so much negativity and it's so important to be true to yourself.
Love your outfit - linen trousers superb and sleeveless knit with hint of brown under and great house shoes. Garden looks amazing for mid October and still no heating on although temps will now start to drop but still have the sun. Granola and ice cream delicious. I love cinnamon and tempted to try making some.
Yes! I’ve had that same thing happen to my finger with my wedding rings! It was about a year after I got married and after 19yrs, I haven’t had it again. I know it feels so weird not wearing your rings but just keep them off and it will heal up and you can feel back to normal again soon! Always enjoy your videos over here in Charleston, SC! Much love!❤️
I would absolutely love an AGA but I wouldn't have a clue how to use it but Charlie's knowledge is exceptional..and because I'm a massive fan of pink I would clearly choose that colour...and loving the chill Sunday outfit josie 👍
Love watching you and Charlie and the dogs, just really nice lovely! You two are the friends anyone would want 😊 I love the racing green, I feel it will make a big statement. In the states we always think of resale so most would go with the cream, but since this is your forever home, I say go with what you love❤
Love the light sage Green for AGA such a pretty Fresh colour . Your footage while driving through all the small villages country lanes is such a joy to watch , just viewing the slight changes in the colour’s starting to show 💕 So pretty 😍. Your Fall cardigan beautiful 😍. Have a lovely weekend 🥰
12:02am central time…Hello there, Josie! I too love a cozy “cardigan”!❤️🤗 Thanks so much for entertaining me with so many gardening and recipe tips. 🍂🍁🤗
Classical music is lovely to listen to when I'm out with the dog in the forest. I allso enjoy acoustic piano. I get such cozy cottage core- vibes from it somehow. And: chunky cardigans are a lifesaver ❤
Looking forward to learning more about the Aga. I would love to be able to have one myself. I would probably pick a neutral color for mine but I think you are right about choosing the lighter green to bring everything together. It already looks great with the other elements in the kitchen. The book you were reading sounds amazing and I will certainly look for it🙂
I started watching this at lunch time, but stopped early on--- it's one of those meant for the evening, with a cozy fire, blanket, a favorite beverage, snack--- you know, Chill Time Alone.🥰
I actually love the dark green because it will be focus point in your kitchen, the other colors will blend and get lost. Charlie hasn't been wrong so far, go with the dark green. Counter top dark will make it like all one piece, very exquisite.
As a designer, I can emphatically recommend the cream Aga. For 2 reasons: 1. This is an investment piece and cream is the color you are least likely to tire of in 20 years. 2. This was so insanely helpful thank you on behalf of all humans 😅 x

Agree, 100% - I vote for the cream color. The Aga is a purchase for decades and in that time styles and color choices will change many times but a cream Aga will never go out of style.
Agree for main statement pieces cream is the best. You can change other items that are far less expensive for a pop of color.
I was making my bed when I started your flog and had to stop immediately when I heard you reading. I wish you would do that more often. Your voice put to those words and images was so calming and peaceful. With the world in such turmoil your vlogs help us escape to a better place for a while. Thank you so much. Hi Josie, these down to earth vlogs are just what we need during these horrific times around the world 🌎 😢. ❤️🇨🇦🍂
I agree!!!!
Omg!!! Josie I LOVE your reading ! You are gifted! You should be paid to read audio books ! Loved loved loved it!!❤❤❤
Wow, what an epic beginning of the vlog! You are a great storyteller!❤ I love autumn seen with your eyes!
I love how much Charlie loves talking about all the things that are in your home!
I loved the darker green, but who knows what they'll decide. I enjoy seeing & learning from Charlie's passion & knowledge. However, it's also lovely to hear him admit when he doesn't quite know. Lovely vlog all about!

The opening poem was exquisite Josie and beautifully recited. Thank you🍂🍁
Love the book reading. A book about the changing seasons is such a good idea. Especially today as we head into autumn.
Nothing nicer that watching a Josie log cozied up in my warm cardigan.😉
I loved the opening reading of your vlog today with the corresponding images, well done you! And how you kept the cosy cardigan autumnal vibe going the whole way through. 🍁🧡

I love a nice long autumnal vlog. This was perfect. Whilst wearing a nice cozy cardigan 😊
Du bist perfekt, positiv und fröhlich.Danke😊
The beginning of your vlog is lovely. Since an Aga is a lifetime purchase, I vote for a cream colored one - it will always match any future kitchen color scheme. I am amazed at how beautiful your garden is in mid-October! We love cozy cardigans here in SC too!!
Classic cream is easy to live with for decades…as trends come and go.. cream will blend in with any future trends
Josie that was the most beautiful start to any video - thank you 😊🍂🍁🍄. Can't wait to watch the rest of the video now xx 🧡🌾🎃💚
Your collaborations with brands are always so genuine, it’s very refreshing. I’m just obsessed with your newish style Josie! I love it!
the weather really has gone autumnal, wearing a cosy cardigan today! Love ❤️ your vlogs Josie look forward to seeing them
What a beautiful opening 📖 to a beautiful cosy Autumnal Vlog, Just love Josie and could watch you all day. 🍂 🍂🍁🍂🥮🥮🥮🥮❤
Your cozy cardigan warmly wrapped us with your autumnal vlog. ❤ Loved everything about this vlog especially the beginning with your book reading!!
WOWZER!!!!!
And unless that Aga doesn’t have to be on all the time, isn’t it a huge waste of energy, especially if your home has central heating.
OMG I just looked up the smalled AGA available in USA and they start at like 20,000 over here. 👀
I love that you’re diversifying your wardrobe a bit more recently Josie! Lovely homely vlog 🤍
The start of this vlog made me emotional - I just love nature so much! 🙏🏻❤️ aren’t we lucky to experience such wonders
I just had to pause to say what an amazing intro! I really really enjoyed your reading and the accompanying clips of you in the garden and greenhouse. So comforting
I absolutely love how enthusiastic Charlie gets about things. 😊
Love the vlog as always, I really appreciate how down to retry you are and “real”! Looking forward to getting into my fall and winter cardigans too! Thank you for all your efforts that you put into your vlogs
Nothing nicer than watching a Josie vlog in a comfy cardigan, whilst enjoying a classical music soundtrack!

1:15:26 Cardigans make or break an outfit, somehow, you’ve managed to make them help make your outfits smashing 🤩

I like the dark green too. So excited to see what you choose.
I love hearing Charlie's knowledge & opionion as well. Thank you for a lovely vog.
Dear Josie,
Love the intro of you reading, what can I say you inspire us so much !

Thank’s to you, now I’m investing on my cardigan collection.
Best UA-cam couple !
❤🇨🇦
I love her Maple Granola Maple Granola and Pumpkin Chai recipes! They look so delicious and easy to make.
There's me thinking you were reading something from Lydia's book 🫢
Hi Josie and Charlie, your AGA looks nice. I wouldn’t change the color. Cute doggie Dexter sleeping nearby. Have a great day!
I love wearing a cardigan, don’t you? What projects do you have planned for the winter?
Can’t wait for your kitchen makeover! Yes, still watching and loving you 🥰
I like the Olive green color too. In the US cast iron stoves were all they used in the 1800's early 1900's. Josie, your vlogs are like a warm hug! Thank you for inspiring and sharing your beautiful life. Love and light
Beautiful vlog for autumn! You really capture the seasons in video. You have already inspired me to buy 3 cardigans this year. 😊
Sitting on the sofa in my cardigan enjoying your vlog as a lovely reminder of home, the autumn leaves are looking lovely here too in Sewickley PA! 🍁🍂
"Cardigan." Each of your Vlogs is a special event. Thank you for the time we get to spend with you, Josie!
I absolutely love the intro to this vlog! I miss your more cinematic videos (like your fall evening routine, i rewatch that one all the time!)
Just love you, dear Josie 💕
Thank you for sharing all of these beautiful things with us each week.
I am sick so I'm curled up in my coziest cardigan watching your video. I just love your sweet family and looking at the beauty of the Cotswolds.
I hope you feel better soon!

Ok, so I’m finally getting a Thermomix! Thank you for always sharing your yummy recipes!
Great beginning to this vlog. You have that special voice that woos a person to listen. I love your warm and inviting cardigan at the end.
Like a cardigan wrapped around my soul❤Thank you for such a heart warming video.
just had to reply and say i love this comment hehe 🫶🏼so true
I love wearing my snuggly cardigan at the end of the day, while relaxing on the sofa xx

@@thewellnessclinic2902 Thank you. My daughters friend has cancer and has been released to hospice. She has about 3 or 4 days left.
So sorry to read about your daughter's friend, I lost my favorite doctor to cancer today. Such an awful disease. Sending good wishes for you and your daughter.
@dsmith9796 Thank you. She's made it to 15 years old. Rough next few days, I suppose. Thanks all
Intro is one of the most beautiful intros I’ve ever seen!!
Josie the color you pick is the best choice, for your kitchen.
I love the sage green or cream for your new aga. I feel the racing green may be too heavy for your kitchen xxx
Been loving your latest videos even more than normal! The homey autumn recipes have been great. Have you shared the cinnamon ice cream recipe in a video yet? I’m wondering if I’ve missed or forgotten it.

...your garden is so lovely and must be a wonderful way to continue to be rooted.
Such an inspirational lady you are. Loving your vlogs! 🌹🥰
Cárdigan Season is definitely here! Lovely video lovely photography too.
I LOVE your trousers, I basically live in pants like these.
Cotswold Green for the Auger!
Cardigans are awesome.
I would absolutely love an AGA but I wouldn't have a clue how to use it but Charlie's knowledge is exceptional..and because I'm a massive fan of pink I would clearly choose that colour...and loving the chill Sunday outfit josie 👍
Always a pleasure to watch your vlogs, Josie 💕 I’m also wearing my cardigan, as evenings are getting chillier even in Sardinia as well!
Your footage while driving through all the small villages country lanes is such a joy to watch , just viewing the slight changes in the colour’s starting to show 💕
So pretty 😍.
Your Fall cardigan beautiful 😍. Have a lovely weekend 🥰
What a wonderful vlog. Loved your reading at the beginning, so relaxing 😌
Thank you Josie x
I liked the sage green for the new colour of the Aga as well! I bet it would also look great in a long CARDIGAN! LOL! 😄Love your cozy vlogs, Josie!💞
The book you were reading sounds amazing and I will certainly look for it🙂
Looking forward to Sunday time with J&C! I did a quick sneak peak and it sure looks "creamy dreamy autumn!". 🍁🍁🍁🥞🦊☕
I started watching this at lunch time, but stopped early on--- it's one of those meant for the evening, with a cozy fire, blanket, a favorite beverage, snack--- you know, Chill Time Alone.🥰
Wow I love the start of this. Your voice Josie .. it has an ethereal sound and you should definitely do more of this. ♥️
Love the lighter, soft green shade.
I actually love the dark green because it will be focus point in your kitchen, the other colors will blend and get lost. Charlie hasn't been wrong so far, go with the dark green. Counter top dark will make it like all one piece, very exquisite.
I agree with you Josie, on the olive AGA. That would look incredible in your kitchen.
