    Dear, appreciate your effort for explanation. In fact resistance is not only the reason, it is impedance bcoz winding resistance is very low as compare to reactance. So the right word is impedance which is vector some of R and X and offer considerable opposition to avoid short circuit. Same is applicable when we supply input power to transformer. Its winding resistance is very low but reactance is high so it doesn't cause short circuit. The important question is how grounding helps to maintain the zero potential at star point. What is magic with earth?

      Bikul sahi bhai saab he is not explaining thtat ressistance and current when both multiplied should be equal to supply voltage for 100% VOLTAGE DROP.

    Sir, If the neutral point is not grounded, then the return path of electricity from neutral wire where it goes?
    Will there be a voltage in the common point of star connection and then it will occur short circuit?

    Some doubt create in my end..
    1. why potential is zero in netural point becz its create by all three phases..
    2.sir hm jab bhi star ya delta bnate hain tab supply off condition m ya disconnect hoti h lekin ye hi hum three phase supply m ON condition m Star ya Delta banate h to blast hota h aesa kyon ..
    3. jab ki hum electric bulb ya electric Iron etc inko suppy ON hoti h tab bhi connect krte h to koi blast nhi hota ,,
    I hope aap samjh gye hongen ki m kya poonchna cha rha hun......

      Laxmikant, in Transformer neutral is grounded. This is the reason that the Potential is zero.

      Hello Laxmi kant.
      1. Residential area mein Transformer ke neutral ko panel board mein earth kiya jata hai. Isliye neutral ka Potential zero hota hai.
      2. Agar neutral ground nahi hai and System balanced hai to neutral mein voltage nahi hoga. But agar System Unbalanced hai to voltage hoga.
      3. Neutral mein phase ke equal voltage nahi hota qki neutral and phase ka Potential same nahi hota.

      1. Transformer ke neutral ko panel board mein earth kiya vo penal board khan hota h aur penal board m earthing ( low reluctance) path khan se aata h ... practical distribution transformer m penal board or neutral ground wala fanda nhi hota..
      2. Sir system unbalance h to some voltage hoga na ki phase voltage flow hoga.. aur hm to neutral m zero voltage manten hain vo kyon ....
      3.Neutral aur phase ka potential same kyon nhi hota..

      Watts jitne bhi ho sir bulb to glow Karega Magar turant fuse ho jayega,because mostly bulbs are made for glow in max 250v so after that it will get fused... thank you sir

    As we know that current flow from higher potential to lower potential. Then in case of test lamp if we connect two phase wire with same voltage level then which phase wire will be higher potential and which will be lower potential???

      Sir, resistance to hai suitable resistance nahi hi, so 1-phase motor may winding link rata lekin 430 v diyoto jal jata , and same 430 v motor Jo bi 230 v supply diyato nahi running hota hai lekin suitable resistance nahi samajalo bhai 430v alag internal resistance rata, 230v ka alaga internal resistance rata hai iske vastame 230v bulb,,430 v raketo bulb jal jata

      Current higher potential se lower potential flow hota he....aur neutral ko phase se touch karse se bich me koi resistance nhi banega...aur high Current flow hoga...aur blast hoga.

      Amit, 3ph ki motor mein agar ek phase miss ho jaye to ise single phasing kehte hai..
      Maine single phasing pe ek video banaya hai.. Aap wo jarur dekhiye.. Aapko sab information mil jaegi.
