- Hiking, camping, and backpacking is a huge part of my channel and the reason why I am into gear in the first place! In this video we get out for an early spring backpacking trip with a nice 3500 foot ascent to an unfortunately cloud covered summit! All in all, very glad to get out there and enjoy the wonderful experience!

Oh man...that was so delicious!! HAha...pork tenderloin that we were melting aged cheddar to sandwich between. Haha, after that hike it was incredibly good!

You both still did great for rough snowy Icy terrain!
Q: I know modern snowshoes or bear paws are getting lighter all the time BUT did you feel a bit more fatigued from wearing them??
The fatigue comes less from wearing the snowshoes, but rather more that you're slogging along the whole time...almost rolling your ankles literally a thousand times and using a different muscle group with the snowshoes than normal. And the angle on that being so steep really wears on your legs after a while. But...it was pretty incredible actually and very fun! My snowshoes had incredible grip...the MSR Lightening Ascent. I covered them a couple years back.
