Skip the ribs, go for the nuts!

The ribs are actually more effective than the nuts. You don't want to be in front of your attacker, especially when older and not wanting to go to the ground. The groin doesn't really work the way you think. Adreniline will mask a lot of the pain. If you strike to either side of the lower ribs, you are likely to hit one of 3 things. 1) hitting the floating rib causes shock to the diaphragm and can easily bruise or break the floating (free ribs). This will shut down their breathing and cause intense pain. 2. If you strike the Liver (a left directional strike to the floating rib of the opponents right side), you can shock the liver causing the opponent to drop 3. Similar to the liver strike, the spleen strike creates a similar reaction. Because they both are areas that carry a lot of blood, they are susceptible to shock. Please be very careful if you practice this. Find an instructor who knows control.

You do know that this is for over 50 and Baby Boomers, right? . It's unlikely running away will be a go-to-option. Running is a response you use when you are not in the violence of an attack, or in the grips of someone wanting to hurt you. Running and Avoidance, is great when you have someone who has situational awareness and can get away from the situation before it becomes hands on. Thank you for watching the video and commenting. I appreciate it 👍
