My sman is when I need to bring it out to confuse these people when they want to stand and look at you 😂.. and probe and probe charge is the Way to go now… I love it
I have the Testo probes and love them. I use them when doing checks, if I need to charge a unit up I use my manifold.
I was the same way, lately I've been trying to use the manifold less but they are still great to have
I just picked up my 1st set last week. I appreciate you sharing.
Right on 🙌🏽
Good video. I just got the charge and air kit and the wireless dual manometer kit too. I’m new to the trade I just graduated school last month and they never really helped with how to actually take the readings. Where exactly do you take the readings with the air probes and I wanted to take a total external static pressure test and I’m not exactly sure where to place the probes.
I just bought these today looking forward to them 👍
I am all in on probes. But their is one exception, I do quite a bit of commercial heat pump work and the smaller the heat pump the more unlikely probes are even an option some of them hoses barely fit.
I knew I forgot something. Haven't had to do it in awhile but just get a pack of those hose extenders like I had in the charging set up to get in tight spots.
Manufacturers really need to get us easy access ports, some I can't even get a good vacuum set up on
I’ve been using the fieldpiece probes for about 5-6 years and I love them, I have two sets and a testo too when I have to check 2+ stage systems. Great video but I think you forgot to mention that they would also calculate your superheat and subcooling.
Did you know if you add a 3rd psychrometer you can use it as your outdoor air temp and if you use measure quick app it would tell you your target superheat?
Great points, thanks for the comment.
I guess I was assuming people knew how they worked. I definitely want to go more into it on another video maybe with different sets
@@ReliableHVACR keep up the good work man. I like your videos. I try to watch them all.
Good videon Adrian. Probes are the best. Right next to a good set of analog's.
Thank you
Saludos Desde Vero Beach Florida ! Buena Información! 👍💯
Gracias 🫡
I prefer probes just easier to transport and carry .
Heck yeah 🙌🏽
I've seen a few videos use Appion core deppressor when hooking up the probes to the high side and low side. Do you reccomend me get those the core deppresors with the probes? If I were to get the core depressors, would I need to purge the air?
Can you pull a vaccume with the probe set?
Will it read microns?
Hey Adrian have you got your hands on JB climate class set could you do a review? Thanks 🙏
They've been hard to get, hoping to find em before the year ends
Man, im happy you uploaded this, Im currently in school and looking into getting a wireless kit. I'd rather spend my money on wireless stuff than spend the money towrds the old school stuff. I still do have gaudges, but the old-school psychomotor and the coupler are just about 200 bucks. I can literally use that 200 dollars towards a wireless kit!
But out of all the other wireless kits do you think field piece is king compaired to UEI, and testo?
I forgot to mention that, it's very hard to recommend anything other than probes today with how useful and basically you future proof yourself.
Short answer is yes I do think right now fieldpiece has the best without as many negatives. But I think based on messages I get I will do a comparison video very soon with all the different brands
Adrian, if you download the app while you have wifi, do you still need WiFi out in the field? Or just Bluetooth?
It uses Bluetooth so you should be good if you have no service, it all runs off Bluetooth
Does Fieldpiece charge you money after you download the app like measure quick?
It's completely free to use and link to all their tools. The only subscription is if you want to use the app to invoice, tag locations and upload pictures to keep track of jobs but it's not mandatory
@@ReliableHVACR Thanks for getting back to me!
Adriannnn was up
Yo wassup!
For $700….No thank you. I’ve been doing great for 28 years with the same two sets of gages, a new $30 thermometer or three.
