Anything over a $100 is not cheap/affordable. $120 for The Most Wanted is a crime.
Yeah title is rather confusing. Would have thought something like 60 bucks would be a 'least expensive' and affordable bracket.
Especially when you can buy it a lot cheaper at Wal Mart.
Personally, I don’t care for it.
That’s retail price. But even at discounters it’s not that cheap because there’s still so much hype behind it.
Honestly, maybe this is a hot take, but if $100 to the $120 range isn’t affordable, then fragrance collecting isn’t what you should be doing currently. Especially with inflation. I’d say cheapie is $50 and below maybe $60, $60 to $120 is affordable, $120 to $200 is honestly just straight up designer, than anything above $200 is when it starts to get expensive.
I'm used to measuring my designer fragrance prices in Canadian dollars. But here, at retail, basically every one of the better known designer houses will charge at least $100CAD for even a 50ml bottle. I know that's less when converted to USD, but it really isn't a cheap hobby unless you stick to clones. Which, I would like to be clear, that's perfectly fine despite what the niche bros like to say
$105 for Dylan blue 100ml?! I returned mine which cost £35 as I really didn't think much of it all all.

Yeah, I paid equivalent of about £40 here in Thailand (unused tester with a top). I wasn't a fan at all, decent, certainly not gross but nothing special. I ended up giving it away with about 75ml left to a guy who paid retail at a high end department store, he paid the same as I did for only 30ml 😂
It's definitely not a fraghead's fragrance. That said, it's one of my most complimented. Most people aren't in the hobby and most people like it

Exactly. I wouldn't pay more than $40-$50 for ANY of these in this list. These prices are as laughable as they are ridiculous.
Whats really sad is FW is starting to get so high its almost better to buy the original...such as the clone of Victory Elixir, the clone is close to $50 at sellers for a 3.4oz....well you can get the original for $110 at discounters and its a 6.8oz, so DOUBLE the size....its basically the same price per OZ

I think my top 3 would be million lucky, green stravaganza, and carbon. I know a lot of fragrance people aren't into green stravaganza but I absolutely love it
Most Prada frags including the LR line are relatively reasonably priced and worth it if you like the style. With that being said I bought most from discounters.
I just picked up light blue eau intense a few weeks ago, idk what all the hype is about but im not going to judge it until i wear in in the high heat summer days but so far it just seems like a better quality nautica voyage type fragrance
Been considering buying The Most Wanted edp Intense for retail/slight 20% off but ended up getting the 3x10ml travel collection instead of the edp edp intense and parfum.
I may pick up one full bottle when cold weather comes around again.
Can’t go wrong with EDP Intense or Parfum, both are fantastic!
Bought 2 200ml back-up bottles of Dylan Blue for €56 each, a 200ml One Million Lucky for €77 and (last week) a 200ml Mont Blanc Explorer for €45 (all Notino). 👀

Run back to the 80’s pick up Quorum for fall, to the 60’s for Aramis and back to the 90’s for Cool wave. Probably each below 50$ for 3.4 oz.

Idk if I got a bottle that wasn't blended well but Toy boy smells like someone just sprinkled a bunch of pepper over a rose. They're literally the only two notes that you smell, so much so that I couldn't stop sneezing and had to scrub it off lol. Also note that that's the most wanted intense so you don't just get the most wanted cuz they're different.
The Most Wanted EDP Intense is just called The Most Wanted in retail. The other one is The Most Wanted Parfum.
@@inFamous_BigT if you're shopping only and you just look for the most wanted you're gonna get either, possibly including tmost wanted parfum (clear bottom bottle). If you search for most wanted intense you're gonna get most wanted EDP intense (black bottom bottle). Even in places like Sephora where I got one of my bottles it says EPS Intense.
Is 1 million lucky getting discontinued?
I got my 100ml bottle of Dylan Blue for $30 plus shipping totally authentic,i even seen a 200ml with about 5% used sell for $39 a couple of weeks ago with pictures of the batch code on the bottle and box that sold within an hour of being listed.All of these fragrances that have been out longer than a year i can find in the $30-$50 range sometimes its an unused tester but i can find them. The prices here are full retail for people who dont have the time to search online or just dont realize they're available that cheap especially when buying from individuals.
in the UK most new mens releases are now £100 plus

The average person only happens by what’s at Macy’s. They have no idea about discounters or any other perfumes. Used to work at Macys and none of the fragrance vendors knew what discounters were. I don’t see this trend going anywhere unfortunately.
How much does a a fragrance cost to produce? Surely these mass produced frags made in bulk can't cost more than 10€ right?! I can't see many people in their right mind 'thanking' these brands for 'only' charging 100€/$ or more as if they are doing us a favour 😅

@@Slycoop02Jeremy Fragrance admitted his to produce cost about $10-$15 , now yes, he sold direct so didn't have retailers taking a cut but designer companies buy en masse whereas he wouldn't have been able to. I bet even a bottle of Creed doesn't cost more than $20 to make and ship
This is why the middle eastern fragrance houses are killing it right now, and will continue to do so. I'm about to give up on designers all together, given the competition from these newer ME Houses. If they can do it at their prices, no reason designers cant as well, and designers are gonna have to get more realistic and less price gougy, or they will get run over by the ME over time, as they should.

I went to sephora yesterday with my wife to smell fragrances and man i do not understand the hype around a lot of fragrances.
The last thing I paid retail for was Myslf and I didn’t regret it. It got me hella compliments but never mind what other people think I love it in all its generic glory… it performs too but I would NEVER pay $100 or anything close for some of these like coach I’ve grabbed bottles of coach versace D&G from marshals for anywhere from $30-$70 if I paid $100+ for any of those and went in there and seen those prices I’d be disappointed in MYSLF 😂 on a side note I thought I might want y L’elixir but for the price they can keep it

Like i had it & basically threw the bottle out the scent is horrid. 1 million parfum & elixir though, have to be in your list. I got a bottle of it 100 ml for £45 last week of perfum & about £55 for elixir. Now might of been ebay but, only its about 60-70 quid over here.

This is a really weird video... realllly reaching with this one.
Personally, I prefer to save up & get the higher quality frags. I feel much more satisfied that way. You get fewer bottles, much better scents. Although the ones Ash has mentioned are nice, I find that one bottle at $300 or above, that you have tried/sampled & loved, gives much more of a fulfilling pleasure than a hundred cheaper ones. Ask yourself if you want to smell okay everyday or smell out of this world everyday!

Make no mistake, these recent price spikes by designers have nothing to do with "inflation", or supply chains, etc and 95% due to price gouging and profit taking. The Middle Eastern houses are proving this to be the case more and more every day.

$100 - $120 is the standard price for any designer that isn't high on it's own farts like Chanel. There is nothing on this list that is any kind of inexpensive. A lot of these are cheapies you guys , please remember the longer a fragrance has been out and the more mainstream it is , highly likely you can obtain it on sale or through a discounter. It’s 2024, it’s annoying to hear certain things be undervalued , especially when prices have barely changed in 10+ years . A lot of people need to get paid along the way to create a fragrance from raw materials and bring it to market.

Hate to break it to you, but $100+ is NOT affordable/cheap. If it's not under $40-$50, it's not affordable or cheap for the vast majority of consumers. Coach for Men and JV frags for $102 retail, when both are widely available for under $35, is laughably insane, and not one on this list is remotely worth their retail price! It's no wonder why Lattafa, Fragrance World, Paris Corner, Alharamain, etc are killing it these days. Designers better wake TF up and learn, or those ME Houses will continue to grow and dominate the fragrance community.
