Thank you, Bradford for this lesson and performance. I am in your debt as a newish guitarist. I’ve been in music and music education since 1970, but seriously started classical guitar in August. I’m 60 years old and love the journey of improving and making better and better music on the guitar. Thank you for ALL of the resources that you provide for all of us. Much appreciated!!!
This guy is SO smooth! I like that he makes love not only to the guitar, but also to the notes while he caresses, and gently strokes lovingly at the strings. Yes, he is smooth! Thanks, smooth dude!
This is Classical Guitar I know smooth. I play love songs of all types, Ed Sheeran too, so I know. I never quite looked that involved or made my wife or friends forget the world as you dude. Yes, you got it, dude!
I am studying this piece with my teacher and using your edition! Thank you for the free lesson and tips, I'll keep them in mind when I practice it. Also, thank you for your reply to my email!
Great lesson! I'm working on this and the most difficult part for me is going to the bar from the D seventh shape. It just takes correct consistent practice to do it.
Same here, and probably the most difficult part for most players! I have a lot of trouble with barres in general. Not enough finger meat between my joints ;)
I am somewhat on a beginner level and this piece feels easy enough for me to learn. Thank you for making this video, I am truly grateful for all of your lessons!
Hope you enjoy it. If it is your first time dealing with barré chords it might be a bit tricky. Besides the barré with the added D# it's pretty easy though.
One my opinion - in second part there isn"t need hold bass - G so long (forwhole bar). There is very tension and hard stretch. Especially for beginers :-) I hold it only for two beats no three.
It’s a piece I keep coming back to. I notice you have a straight first finger barre on the second fret, immediately behind the metal, although you have short fingers, c6cm. My fingers are a bit shorter than yours, c5.5 cm and I must form a barre across the fret, starting about 1/4 way on e to zero at b, will my old fingers stretch to form a straight barre or is it a lost cause? A straight finger doesn’t get the notes.
hello again, what is your opinion on the Carcassi book versus the Sagreras method? I think Sagreras has prettier musical exercises but that's about it.
Both are good but historical methods are often a bit blunt in how fast they progress. These days methods push easier repertoire until good technical and musical habits or formed. Of course, this depends on the student. My volume 2 method is based on Carcassi but I've added more clear chord progressions as well as duets.
Hello Sir. I am currently using an older Christopher Parkening book. How important is proper sitting 🪑 position in performing classical guitar ? My left arm tires considerably.
Hi, I'm not qualified to teach, but in my learning, I've found that sitting position is extremely important. You need a good sitting position to be comfortable, play comfortably and minimise injuries. Cheers.
Hi Bradford thank you very much for the lesson and the sheet music. I learned from tab for years but now I really enjoy learning from sheet music. If I may ask a question. On bars 3,7,10 and 15 there is a line with BII 5 above the bars are these lines for dynamics? Thank you.
Those are Barre indications. So B = Barre, II = 2nd fret, 5 = barre 5 strings. The line indicates how long to hold the barre. Let me know if you have any questions.
@@Thisisclassicalguitar that has cleared it up for me. I can play the piece reasonably well I was just wondering if I was leaving something out. Thank you very much.
It's not specific to the fingers necessarily, it's all about bring out the melody from the chord/arpeggio texture. In this piece that means bringing out the 'a' finger.
But the TAB isn't* Oh, i see, it's understeable. I ask because i don't know how to read music properly, if i had the tabs this channel would be pretty much my principal source of classical guitar knowledge. I would support the channel just buying the TABS but im from Venezuela haha. Sorry for my bad english BTW. Keep up the great work!

Wow, how sensually spoken. Maybe not THAT smooth.

Agreed, Eddie, so Bradford, how do we get the smooth?
A lovely piece, one of the few great pieces that are not too challenging!
It really is!
I love this piece! I used to play it, but I have forgotten how to play it. I must relearn it again! Thank you.
Thank you from France, as a beginner I appreciate a lot your lesson and all your tips !

***** It might take me a while to be able to play it well, but I will do my best.
Gracias. Saludos desde Tenerife.
Beautiful piece!
This is the best version of this piece I've heard. It's better than Edson Lopes' version, and he's a god.
Thanks!
Do you have a link to the Edson Lopes version? Absolute fan of both this is classical guitar and edson lopes :)
Excellent Dankeschön
Thanks a lot for this video. You help me a lot studing this piece.
¡Increíble!
Executing the bar is not difficult but getting to it is the challenge.
This looks like my perfect level :)
I'm a huge fan of your work
Thanks, glad you like it.

top 5 records you own in the back go !
what are the other 4 ?
What brand/model guitar support are you using? thank you for all of your informative lessons.
The beginning phrasing of this is almost an inversion of Romanza.

@@Thisisclassicalguitar that has cleared it up for me. I can play the piece reasonably well I was just wondering if I was leaving something out. Thank you very much.
The sound quality has improved. New mic? Thanks for the lesson
Not really, same mic as the last 6 months but did put up some sound panels to chill out the reflective room.
Thank you so much
You are very welcome!
how do you move your right hand finger ! I'm still learning
Check out the right hand lessons on my site: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/lessons/
3:01 how do you figure out that the notes which played by (a )finger should be louder than ( m& i )fingers ??
It's not specific to the fingers necessarily, it's all about bring out the melody from the chord/arpeggio texture. In this piece that means bringing out the 'a' finger.
@@Thisisclassicalguitar so that mean you who want to make the melody to sound so clear and it's not something written in the sheet music
May I know the model of your guitar support ?
This one is the Gitano, see all my support reviews here: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/ergonomic-guitar-rests-support-ergoplay/
How do you locate the Free TAB for this ?tried the web site link, but still couldn’t find it. TIA.
The notation is free but the tab is by purchase. Sorry.
Why the sheet music is free but the TAB but isnt't? always seemed very odd for me.
Thanks for the lesson!
Ya, sorry about that. I had to choose how to make a little bit of money from the site since it takes so much time. Tab got chosen!
But the TAB isn't*

@@angelc.4422 learn to read music its not that hard specially for classical guitar is a must!!!
do you play Tristan Murail's Tellur?
No, but it's good!
what a woody sounding guitar~~
Could be the mics and the reflective room. But ya, it is fairly woody...
It takes me about 5 minutes to get to the barre whyy
Keep stretching, your fingers will actually to find the way to correct.
thank you.
Thank you
