I want everyone to think about this Josh on the regular promotes everybody else's pedals and expounds on how good they are and is able to create amazing pedals with his own company, This is the future now, instead of putting down other people he and crew send out great vibes and get them back 3 fold. Thanks Josh and all the people that are lucky enough to work for JHS. Stay Amazing!!!!
I love it when people start a company out of passion and money comes second. This leads to so much more collaboration and innovation. Josh is just great.
Just wanna acknowledge how great the musicianship of these live jams is. Every jam feels creative and fresh, showcasing the gear well and the rhythm section is always tight. The sound/mix is also excellent every time.
David Rainger has redefined the term EXPRESSION PEDAL as these all have an abundance of personality with art in pedal bending morphology...expressions of his Genius. This did something to my skull
Just finished to watch it and going to have a Bleep for my ambient board. Great show. Great pedals and a great service to all music community, it's possible to have fun and promote not only brands but the need to make music and art. Keep doing this please!
Killer bag of tricks this guy has... awesome pedals/devices and what a cool cat down to earth builder..just a perfect fit w the JHS Crew...and gotta give Addison props in the kickass drumming...solid job man!🤘😁🎸🎶
Come back to Denmark Street! I work there and all that building work is finally, nearly, almost, maybe getting done. Good and bad results but worth seeing it, we're keeping it alive! I'd love to say come do a video with us but I don't wanna say which shop I'm at in a comments section hahaha, I think you came in and said hi though! That Sex Pistols 'apartment' would have been behind No Tom (so called becaused they employed No Toms at time of opening). Andy's is now called Hanks, Macari's are now based in Essex but I believe are still doing their pedals!
Minibar - Liquid Analyser is the most versatile with infinite possibilities. It's a must have. It's like a science lab in a studio. Endless and neverending sound searching. It will bring you down into the deepest ocean. JHS Show need to do an hour long episode of this pedal alone. Insane.
I would like Digitech to reissue the Space Station but make a new crazy version in a design partnership with David Grainger. The amount of patents that have changed the world from England, let alone scientific breakthroughs from people like Darwin and Newton and so on is amazing. This is so typical of UK innovative design thinking. Lots of imagination and being first at new ideas but made damn awkward for cheap mass production. ))
This stuff is so cool. Earlier today, I posted over on FB that I have to sit while playing and would love it if JHS would make a small remote rocker switch that could be paired with a Wah Pedal. Then I’d stick it to my pickguard in a place where I’d be able to work a wah pedal with my edge of my picking hand. I kinda feel like those Igors are almost what I’m talking about. Think about it….please.
…I sit and play using the foot rocker all the time. Is that abnormal? I’ve never felt uncomfortable or that it was too much pressure in the pedal. Interested in your take :)
@@Unusualsuspect24 no, that’s definitely doable, but I have really bad arthritis in my hips and lower back, so it’s more comfortable to keep my feet up on a foot stool. I’ve considered getting a small way pedal, but currently have an autowah on my board.
@@stoneysdead689 that’s cool. I guess I need to check that out, too. Another wireless mini switch / pedal combo I’d love to have is a looper pedal with a small Bluetooth on/off or start/stop switch. I still find it hard to believe that none of the loop pedals have just basic editing functions that would allow you to tighten up the start/stop portion of a loop. I’m thinking something as basic as the video length cropping on an iPhone. Anyhow, without having the option, a wireless trigger would make it easier for us sitting players to get tight loops. I could even see standing players wanting the option, so they don’t have to bend over to tweet the other settings.
I used to use my wah, and later on, my whammy as a foot stool even when I wasn't playing, so I never thought this could be an issue.. I mean, I basically ended up tearing all the rubber feet off eventually by doing it, but I never had any issues with rocking my foot while being seated and playing.. how do you drive otherwise? Lol🤷♂️
If you like this, make sure to check out the This Pedal Show episode with David. He’s live with Dan and Mick and so they were able do a ton more demos of all the features… lots of nob twisting 😂
Hi. Random chemistry/physics nerd here. When you do your exhaustive mini-bar experiment, I have some suggestions. For every liquid, use a multimeter to measure the resistance (or conductivity or something related) of the liquid. Figure out how that affects the sound. Then put the liquid in a container with a photocell on one side and a light on the other side. Measure the resistance in the photocell for each liquid...and figure out how that affects the sound. You could be really nerdy with it and do some calibration of the pedal and then try to predict how different liquids will sound before testing them in the pedal and then see if you're right. SO many options! DO IT!!!
1) that is EXACTLY the tone i expected from topo Chico 2) describing Topo Chico as 'peppery' is the most Midwest description i can imagine. i describe it as "sharp" 😂
Thank god someone is making weird boxes and NOT using the same old 3pdt switch. You can put the coolest art on your pedal, but everyone’s pedals still look exactly the same.
This is not the guy who hears “you can’t do that” and immediately says “I can”. No, he thinks of the idea and doesn’t wait to hear from the nay sayer. His pedals are an experimenter’s dream.
Learn to play some high gain rhythm guitar early Pumpkins style Josh with that Break Box! The low gain sounds on it are good too, but the man himself was clearly asking for some "Rhinoceros"/"Tristessa" action!
Guitar playing has reached the point of insanity when the sentence ‘I think I play differently through soy sauce and sake than I do washing up liquid’ and it has and actual context lol
The Mini Bar! Wow. Chocolate syrup. the liquid from canned black beans, NyQuil, some spicy English mustard, Louisburg Cider Mill cider, snake venom, and cool mint mouthwash were the random liquids that came to my mind.
Vacations after 14 years of work? Not bad… in Spain we have 2,5 vacation days for every month worked, and, by law, you have to take them every year. Guess “the land of the freedom” works different…hahahaha

@@drloqutis2492 why 3 folds? 3 is the magic number... I always heard 10 fold. Idk why I thought it was funny before
He’s such a fascinating character, makes his art with pedals
Yes David is amazing
He is my favourite person in music at the moment, I feel like he has so much more to give, I really hope you have him back on

Man, let David talk more. He and his ideas are super interesting. ^_^

I absolutely have to have a Break Box on my board! It just shot to the top of my Christmas wish list! Wonderful show, as always!

Some of the COOLEST pedals I’ve ever seen!

The break box scratching would be great for the vintage Hip-Hop vibes of Dr Crook.
57:03 is a killer sounding run. Love those passing notes ! Killer tone. I love my Rainger FX pedals. Fun stuff.
A JHS jam is like a mini trip out concert at a moment’s notice. You guys are amazing.
I showed some Rainger stuff to a non musician and he instantly was like "that stuff looks great".
What a guy, really great pedals!
Wildly fun stuff he makes.
Entertaining and fascinating. True effects pedal innovation you can't find anywhere else. Adrian Thorpe/Dan Coggins next please.
This guys ideas are so out there in a cool way

That reverb is instant Modest Mouse in a box.

Great episode!
..and for the love of god will you please do an episode on the Mini Bar!
Dude is an artist, sheesh.
David is a mad genius!
The liquid test has already been done, it's on youtube I've seen it.
The Willy Wonka of pedals
I’m finishing up a giant experimental board and already plan to put the Bleep Fuzz and the Drone on but I wish I had room for them all!
Love the jams, each one is like a U2 song that never made it on Achtung Baby.
cool noises were had on this day
That active sustain has got me intrigued

Those are all amazing even if they sounded like garbage I think I would still love those a asymmetrical casings though
Use different corrosive acids at the end of your testing.
I'm surprised no one thought of the butcher on the topic of getting blood.
..🤔 Absinthe, Ayahuasca, mushroom 🍵...so many things belong in the MiniBar!
Has anyone ever ran pee through the mini bar? All jokes aside, that’s a genius idea.
Josh fanboying makes me Josh fanboy.
He could've maybe put a tiny Tesla coil on the Frankenstein, throw the "big" switch & it arcs between two poles. 🙂
This is like if Austin Powers made pedals
