Yeah, while using the 'remover' tool gun on a Sentinel (among other things) will hard crash your game to desktop, the 'crash' varient isn't quite so solid. It just spawns a projectile which ricochets infinitely, and every time it does ricochet, it also duplicates. It.. rather quickly gets out of hand, and invariably will _eventually_ do what it is meant to do. Also, I'm pretty sure the 'lost connection, you will be disconnected in 15 seconds' message in Truth and Reconciliation was a feature of the sniper.
No, it was just an effect of coding affecting the connection on MCC; a hard crash not from the Crash Gun caused that to another group, and it HARD crashed their level near the end, they had to do it all over again
So the Remover gun is very buggy. Each time you (or Keyes in Truth and Reconciliation) use it, there’s a chance it will crash the game. If you get hit by it in single player, it WILL crash the game because it doesn’t know what to do without the player. If you’re in co-op and a player gets hit, you can kill their model to respawn them. From testing, InfernoPlus also found that it’s more likely to crash against the Flood and Sentinels (might be a guaranteed crash against Sentinels based on his experiences during a charity race). Also thanks for the only footage of the Keyes level in Cursed Halo on UA-cam so far. I only found out today that it’s now playable after it got skipped in the previous version. The punchline here is its own kind of funny too.
@@RecruitofApollo Found out about it on a stream today where the steamer and his partner crashed the game on The Maw (though it turned out it was unrelated; the topic came up when we were trying to figure out what caused this crash). On a related note, you’re the fourth group I’ve seen find the crash gun (the first to find it numerous times), but unlike two of them and much like Inferno, you at least knew better. The other two groups didn’t even think it could crash the game until after the fact (and Inferno had an amazing response to one of them when asked why he included such a gun). I learned so much from watching this video like what the Buff Riku looks like below the waistline, the RGB rat, the existence of a Pain Tool Gun. Prior to today, my only real experience with this was from the aforementioned charity race since that’s when Inferno premiered the update in almost all of its current entirety. Beyond that I only knew of the Grunt Hoglet gang in Assault on the Control Room from a stream last week (and another gang in Two Betrayals today) Here’s a few more changes that weren’t included due to the map selection: -the Piss Gun and the Yellow Grunts are introduced on the Pillar of Autumn. The plasma bukakes at the grenade tutorial are all replaced with D20s. -the Texture Remover is introduced on Halo. The first Warthog Sedan is replaced with the Monsterhog. I believe the Hoglet you get midway is still the same though. -the Hoglet at the start of Silent Cartographer got replaced with the Wartcycle due to the detour skip if you rush the Elite with the Hoglet before he shuts the door on you. It’s still doable with the new Warthog variant, though it’ll get stuck in the door, but driving that thing is rough unless you’re on MCC and even then (or just get lucky with a D20) -Assault on the Control Room introduces the Blue Grunts with the Tool Guns right after Foehammer drops you off at the start. There’s at least six or seven of them past the front door in order to make you understand what it is they do and to fear them as you end up burning to death or getting pushed/thrustered off a cliff. It also starts you with the Buffering Rifle and the Reverse Throwing Pistol as if it wasn’t bad enough. -Keyes offing himself in 343 Guilty Spark hasn’t changed, which is why I find it surprising that he’s alive in Keyes (and I think voiced by HomykSmash, vocal butcher and the organizer of the charity race Inferno took part in). Some other things you may or may not know about: -The Abomination was renamed. I forget to what offhand, but it’s something closer to Warthog Limo. Reason being that the limo isn’t the most cursed thing Inferno has done to the Warthog and he liked the other name suggested better. -Impregnate the Covenant Battle Cruiser was there before the update. That cursed content is not new. -Skulls work with this mod. Some of them have been altered due to the changes. Take Grunt’s Funeral for example. Now every Grunt is a walking plasma bukake waiting to explode upon death. -Thanos is no longer able to show up without the Thanos Gun which you can only get through D20s/Random Guns. Originally he was going to remain uncensored for the official update, but one of the racing mods convinced Inferno to keep the censor used in the race. -There is a gun that uses the Shotgun model (the lights are green, not blue) called The Dud. I’m not entirely certain what it does, but I imagine it either doesn’t fire or it does something Simpsons related. Given its Inferno, dither’s plausible. -Beyond giving Keyes a Remover gun, supposedly Inferno increased his health value so that he doesn’t die so easily. Not sure I see much of a difference. -Two Betrayals has a lot of easily skipped flags where the objectives don’t update or enemies and vehicles don’t spawn if you Blunderbuss/F.L.U.D.D. jump or fly too high. Kinda sucks since this is an issue inherent with base Halo CE, not the mod, and unlike most levels it’s not just about getting to the end. Same with the outdoors section of both Truth and Reconciliation and Keyes, though backtracking to activate the flags may fix things, least for the first two. Not sure about Keyes. -There is a Tool Gun called the Warthog Gun. It does exactly what you think and is an easy win button against anything you point it at except Wraiths. It’s also the only way to spawn a legit normal Warthog (Inferno said he wanted it to shoot out random hogs but had difficulty implementing that). Too many spawned Warthogs (or objects for that matter) will crash the game. -Flappy Banshees apparently are more resistant to Thrusters than the Normal Warthogs are, probably because they’re heavier and bulkier. -Since you guys never cleared it in your previous video, the ending of Two Betrayals was altered in the original version. Cortana said that “it would take too long to find Keyes” -Some of the other new D20 effects include:: -normal Rocket Launchers and Fuel Rod Cannons -The Dud -the Hoverhog 2.0 (if you’ve not seen it from Inferno’s vids or in multiplayer, it’s a Warthog if it were a normal Ghost. Basically a Smallhog with two turrets on the sides that hovers slightly above ground. The turrets can overheat) -bouncy rockets (rockets that continuously bounce around and explode whenever they touch a surface) -an oversized Magnum maybe. It’s the one on Inferno’s thumbnail for the Cursed Halo update. I’ve only seen a Marine use it on Truth & Reconciliation. Haven’t seen anyone else use it. -The old D20 effects pool is unaltered save for Thanos. You can still roll for a Scarab Gun. -The single player campaign has a bunch of cursed help windows such as the confirmed kills copypasta when you first hop into a Scorpion or “Thank you for purchasing win.RAR” when you first board a Flappy Banshee. Man, all this Cursed Halo racing/streams/footage has got me all excited for what Inferno has planned for Cursed Halo 3.
@@Rexaura888 Before I played the new Cursed Halo, I saw Inferno’s update video, so I knew a good bit of what to expect. On top of that I did some solo d20 testing, which was a blast as always, sometimes literally. I did get the Oversized Magnum in Keyes for this video, but I cut that part. I don’t remember being able to pick it up at all. I don’t think either of us went back in Two Betrayals on our own to learn about that new Cortana voice line in the old update. Also, don’t think I’ve ever encountered The Dud, not even with my solo d20 tests. Aside from that, one of my favorite quotes from Inferno in that update / charity race is something along the lines of, “It’s not my fault you don’t have any fucking reading comprehension!” I mean, what would you expect the Crash Gun to do, if not crash the game? Now I’m wondering if Inferno could possibly Curse Halo 2 or 3, or what he’d even do differently for those.
@@RecruitofApollo “Inferno, why would you put this in the game?” “Excuse me, your reading comprehension is not my problem.” As someone who played a big part in that race, I remember that moment very well. In Jerod’s defense, he was using the Crash gun outdoors on Halo for a while without consequence, so a good number of his projectiles either soared into the sky or went into a bottomless pit. I think he was by a circle of rocks when his game finally crashed, so that would probably be where the projectile finally got trapped and started accelerating too quickly with each bounce off the rocks. Up until that point though, it was one-shotting every Covenant without issue, so any thought of the Crash gun crashing the game was probably lost while he was high on power. But yeah, even before then he really should’ve known better. Silly rabbit. Halo 3 is next to be cursed. Inferno does want to work on Halo 2, but according to him Halo 3 has more potential for cursing or something along those lines.
I walked out side today and heard a familiar sound. It was lyrics to a song someone was listening to in their backyard. I was letting my dogs in when I heard it... "Take a chance on me..." I love the lag if you get shot by the Remover. My guess is that it deals an extreme amount of damage to one-shot anything and then an extreme amount of knockback to give the illusion of something being deleted.

@@Lierofox That makes a lot more sense than my theory given that it's possible to remove scripted objects like Spirits and Pelicans and why it occasionally crashes because NaN is a very good way to crash or otherwise break any game engine.
