I spent 30 years in the Intelligence Community (IC) as a U.S. Air Force Security Forces and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Specialist. That said, ex-CIA, ex-FBI, ex-Secret Service and any other ex-IC person of interest from whistleblower Edward Snowden to the recently resigned ex-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle stay on my radar. That said, you may be experiencing a psychological effect known as the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon (BMP), also called the frequency illusion or frequency bias. BMP occurs when you become aware of something new, and suddenly it seems to appear everywhere. BMP can be explained using the following two cognitive processes:
Selective Attention: Once you own a new car, your brain is primed to notice it. You're more likely to pay attention to instances of the same car model because it has become relevant to you.
Confirmation Bias: When you see the car frequently, you tend to notice and remember these occurrences more because they confirm your expectation that the car is everywhere, reinforcing your perception.
So, are you experiencing BMP? Or is there actually a sudden proliferation of ex-CIA, ex-FBI or ex-Secret Service members on the speaker circuit?

I found his presentation to be very disjointed and confusing to follow. One of the basic tenets of public speaking is to tell the audience what you're going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you told them. He started out by throwing out stories without any context. Timelines were unclear. I have the feeling the moderator tried a few times to keep him focused and on track. Too bad, because I'm sure he has a lot of information that would be very interesting.

What also hperked my ears is ow he talks about the modern technology and methods later… It’s as if he still in the CIA, or has very close ties, because he wouldn’t understand so much about it and talk like he understood so much about how modern technology is used by the Intel agencies, unless he was still closely connected, since when he got out most of this technology wasn’t really in the civilian market. And Bob is such a neocon creature. I just wish he could answer one question. He always seems mixed up. He's like Syriana, a good movie, but sounds like Bob, no complete thoughts. Jingoistic. He cynically believes in the CIA, American supremacy, implied racism, and a lack of any understanding about what the US through Israel has done to the region. Sounds like a 80s mindset, when we only had state media to spin these lies, which Bob still is, and he's not saying anything we haven't heard. They think they can know the minds of resistance fighters, but never look deeper. Bob is clearly still an asset, spreading the neocon word. This is the last time I will try to make sense out of him. He's the worst interview ever. No wonder the US and CIA have so many problems and make people hate us.

The jeep purchase wasn’t a surprise. The failure of Secret Service on July 13 exposed that the Secret Service has a $3+ BILLION annual budget. The government largesse has reached obscene proportions while printing dollars at astronomical speed. Meanwhile the average taxpayer is at the breaking point. In the next few years Americans by the millions (except government employees) are heading to extreme poverty. A upper class of government politicians, bureaucrats and workers vs. the entire private sector working class eating beans who own nothing. This will not end well.

These guys are encouraged by Government to "consult" while Hollywood makes war films. Give producers ANYTHING they want.
The aim is to glorify war and our noble military, further pushing the narrative.
Best recent war film is Brad Pitt's "War Machine". The Afghanistan debacle, over it's 20+ years, replaced multiple Generals. His character was delusional Stanley McChrystal, who actually thought he could WIN the war! After a series of blunders (Rolling Stone interview), was recalled by President Obama....dangerously incompetent.
