No matters how I do it, the soldering wire doesn't stick to the dial, it just melt down and stick to the copper pin.

Hi, does using a soldering iron like this present any danger to dial face paint?
No danger if you put the right amount of soldering paste, the soldering paste makes it melts even on the surface and very fast.

It was a regular soldering iron, I guess it was around 350 - 400celcius
what temperatur did you set your solding iron?
I used a 40w soldering iron, regular iron machine for electronics.
3.16 i heard you say a tiny tungsten wire? Is it really tungsten wire or just normal solder wire?
actually I think that's a regular soldering wire, it came to my mind to say that, but try with any thin soldering wire
What gauge wire is the Copper rod?
