- With New York City’s franchise zones just announced, many micro-haulers like this one have been barred from doing business in the city. This Brooklyn-based hauler caters to Chinese businesses in the city, seen here working in the Canal St. area. This truck is (obviously) an ex-DSNY unit, which I’m told is a spare. Not sure if the company still exists at this point. Huge thanks to the crew for putting on a great show!!

First zone goes into affect in the fall and it’s only one zone as a sort of pilot. I was there recently and spent an hour with a super awesome crew from a smaller hauler. Seems like everyone still thinks the zones might not go through. There’s a lot up in the air still nothing is really set in stone.
Super amazing video, love the ex DSNY LEUs. Really cool that you got to ride in and on the back of the truck, really gives a better understanding of what it’s like to be in NYC and on a truck. Also loved the little “interview” with the driver!
Thank you!! It was the experience of a lifetime riding the step around the dark streets of Chinatown. Don’t know when I’ll ever get the chance to do that again. The driver was such a cool guy with an interesting story I had to include it. Glad you enjoyed!!

Love the close up at 6:00! What’s with the new franchise zones? I looked it up, basically they just killed all of the small haulers in the city? I found a map of the different zones but do you know what company does which zone? Awesome video!

I’m not too sure on the zones yet, I know they’re not exclusive. I hope this company survives but maybe they were bought out? Who knows

Why would they need a website for? They are a small recycling company with a guaranteed contract there's absolutely zero reason for them to advertise or cater to the public. They are clearly still in business because this video is only a week and have been in business and under a different name for over a decade. Are you special?

@@Unknown_Oohthis was filmed in 2021 and they did not get any of the contracts for the city
@@Unknown_Ooh yeah this video is two years old so I don’t know if they are still around. And they didn’t have any guaranteed contract. All the stops you see in this video were earned from their competition, Waste Connections and Action Carting who criss cross the same streets every night
