Fun fact : perfect circles already exist in minecraft as you see your character's shadow it is actually circle (Yeah they are pixelated but still a circle without command blocks)
If you want to make it with display entities without cheating, display entities actually let you set the transform matrix. So you can scale, rotate and translate them, but you can also squash and skew them to make them non-square. If you make them into wedges they will fit together better without having to worry about the corners overlapping or z-fighting.
In Blender to make your own perfect circle you can: get a plane and add 2 loop cuts with control + R to have a centre vertex then bevel the vertex and scrolling the mouse wheel too far (don’t question how you bevel a single point in space but it works). Then A to select all and extrude to give thickness.

If you turn the armour stand by an irrational angle like phi instead of just a small amount the distributed items should just get denser over time. Could be another cool effect
