Ich hätte nicht für möglich gehalten, dass ein Werk der Romantik auf einer solch reinrassigen Barockorgel derartig zu realisieren geht. Dieses herausragende Instrument ist groß genug und hat eine sehr hohe Qualität, die die Jahrhunderte überdauert hat. Nicht nur der Umgang mit der lebendigen Windversorgung ist eine heikle Sache, macht die Musik aber ungemein lebendig - viel Vorbereitung, das richtige Tempo zu finden, damit die "alte Dame" nicht zu sehr nach Luft japst. Viele Holländer sind weitaus unbefangener und mutiger, das Hörergebnis bietet viele Überraschungen. Chapeau!

Dutch organists, such as Gert Van Hoef, Minnie Veldmann and yourself, seem to have deep affinity for this composer. The Hintz organ at Bovenkerk is a favorite of mine. With such a rich choice of stops,, anything is possible for a skilled, imaginative player. From Chicago. U.S.A.
Guilmant's music went out of fashion but deserves a comeback. He epitomises the French 19th century Romantic tradition, displays a great sense of form and uses counterpoint not as a technical add-on but as integral to the music's dramatic structure. Guilmant was overshadowed by the harmonically more complex music of Widor and Vierne. At his weakest, Guilmant can be over-sentimental; at his strongest, he reaches symphonic heights. He needs respect
heerlijk dynamisch gespeeld dit fantastische stuk muziek op een fabeltatisch orgel! maar niet alleen Marco heeft techniek, het orgel moet er ook tegen kunnen. En dat alles mechanisch, ik zie in gedachten de traktuur steunen en kreunen. Wat krijgt dat op zijn donder! Wat een kwaliteit! Ook een compliment voor de opname. (prima geluid en mooie beeldregie en montage!) Maar de slotakkoorden had ik liefst op de klavieren gezien. Hoe dan ook, ik heb genoten!
ah!... a scanso di equivoci fasulli, maldicenze e aberrazioni, grandissimo A. Guilmant….Poche ho fatto cose nella mia schifosa vita ...ma ho eseguito, la sera , porte chiuse e con un freddo e umidita'… posso dire con orgoglio , io ero ...e ora non piu'!!! un abbraccio a tutti gli organisti del mondo. Ci rivedremo in Paradiso. Dio suonera' per noi.
Fenomenaal hoe je op 14:19 op exact het juiste moment die tremulant dicht doet en in de krappe minuut erna die Hinsz heerlijk laat juichen Marco! Wat maak je toch prachtige muziek!
AYe!! One tremulant is really nice. The other sounds nervous - about 9:00 - It should be adjusted. Nice sound. Symphonic music played on a Dutch baroqke organ. Interested. Nice acoustics too.

Das Instrument ist lobenswert, so wie auch der Organist, aber so ein Urteil auf Alexandre Guilmant ist total irre. Es is das Schicksal vieler Komponisten, nach ihrem Tode vergessen oder vernachlässigt zu werden, so auch Guilmant. Als Beiträger zur Gesamtœuvre der Orgelmusik des 19. Jahrhunderts ist Guilmant ein verehrter Meister.
@@MarcodenToommusicus many organs in the world are amazing, but I'd never play Sweelinck in Saint Ouen as I'd never play Guilmant on an Hinsz organ. I mean you can even play Mendelssohn and some early romantic works, since the timbric ideal wasn't excessively far, but maan, playing french symphonic music without at least a swellbox means loosing a good part of its character
@@cromorno8749 do what for you feels right. In Holland we don’t have great Cavaillé-Coll organs. Only a few look-a-likes. But this Hinsz (with a romantic clavier from 1900!) sounds much better in my opinion.

Wie heeft er ooit beweerd dat Romantische muziek niet thuis hoort op een barok orgel! Super gedaan!

A beautiful rich tone, as with many of these old Dutch organs, combined with a gorgeous acoustic. I loved the tremulant in the 2nd movement.

tolle Orgel, tolles Spiel!! ABER keiner redet von der Musik!!! Mit Recht!! K e i n Zufall, weil sie nicht erwähnenswert ist!!
