  • As the title states, I have no idea what I am doing, but I manage to have a little bit of fun with this thing in a parking lot and find out what happens after locking all 3 differentials.

    That was actually a very helpful video. I just purchased a G550 and tried to test the locks by following the manual to the letter and couldn’t get them to engage no matter what I did. So for sure something is wrong with mine (it’s at the dealer right now).
    FYI - the procedure is while rolling, shift to neutral and engage Low Range. Then back into drive. You must lock them in order, Center 1, 2 and 3. You must be moving a little and turning to get them to lock. Unlocking can be done by pressing the center button, it will remove all lockers. Again, disengage by driving away, shift into neutral, and come out of Low Range while rolling.

      Glad you found it helpful. It was an interesting process to go through.

    First if you’re on pavement you don’t want to engage your diff locks it’s for off road, and then you don’t want to be making those tight turns while you’re all locked that’s how you damage your transfer case

      It wouldn't make sense on the GLS because nobody will ever use the car that way

    The vehicle needs to be moving to actually engage or disengage the locks, also engaging front lock drastically reduces steering ability.

      I wanted to make sure I was in deep snow before playing with it so I didn't break anything.

    would you recommend the steering wheel buttons for changing settings? or no need to get that option?

      I mainly got the steering wheel buttons because they look cool. I didn't really use them that often. You cannot get the heated steering wheel and the buttons at the same time, it's one or the other.

      @@youtoobe169 your thoughts on G63 trail package. Does the on road ride become better because of suspension tuning or because of the tire size? My build is in Feb.

      @@vivektaparia2881 Personally, I prefer the base wheel and tire setup. It makes for a nice balance of on road handling with capability. I never did much more than what you see in this video and the occasional rutted dirt road.

    For your g63 how did you get that steering wheel?

    Would you recommend getting a g63?

      @youtoobe169  3 роки тому

      Absolutely. They are great driving vehicles and the quirks are minor, but the best thing is that because of zero (or negative) depreciation, you can drive one for free! See the video I made on that topic for more info.
