Used the "against the wall technique" at a party over the weekend with my Chauvet Mega-Trix. Placed it behind the band's drummer. Turned out excellent! Thanks for the tip!
I use the Chavet Sweeper on my 120 in projection screen as a back drop. I have it projecting in an upward motion onto the screen. I O-Clamp it to speaker stands below the screen. It works well.
Looks great! I see problems with using it/other lights on the floor though, probably would end up getting destroyed by foot traffic. But given the right venue/event the uplighting with the moonflower would be awesome.

I have used a couple Jellyfish by ADJ for up lighting before behind the Dj booth and I've used moving heads or black lights behind white speaker stand covers and table skirt.
I had been thinking of using my jellyfish as an up-light, but I think it would work even more effectively as a floor wash - it will hide nicely on the floor under my little 2-foot DJ booth/stand rig, if I just hitch my black front curtain up a bit. Thanks so much for the idea!
There are Chinese brands that offer the same lighting at half price, the American DJ and the rest and brands soon tend to adjust their prices if they want to stay in the market. I am a DJ and sound technician for 20 years
Hey! and greetings from norway! seen a lot of ur vids and u got some great idea. I got a wedding gig coming up and was wondering how it would look with uplights around the room (to light up details like you show in one of ur vids) and maybe use a monster quad behind the bride and groom? can it be "locked" in 1 colour and at a stand still? and how would it look on the dancefleet with 2 of those so the beams can make a web pattern? dont have one of those light yet but i am thinking of buying one to use for uplighting walls if it can actually work like i planned. I might not have explained this in the easiest way, since im not English or American, but i hope you understand my questions and that you can help me :)
Important question for you anyone out there. This video has provided the solution for a production I'm doing involving a white screen curtain at the back of the stage. However, I need to mount my quad gem off the ground to protect the cords and unfortunately I cannot lean it against the screen curtain, so Brian's idea on the video to level it won't work for me. Any ideas how to mount this off the floor for uplighting so that it can stand alone?
Holy moly. That post really made me use my Moonflower ADJ Quad Gem again. I was so impressed by the effect of uplighting it against a wall that I bought a second one! (Cheap since the fixture is kind of outdated). The result is stunning! I posted a pic on my facebook. It really depends on your placement. There are right & wrong ways to do this. I'll see what I can do about a video to demonstrate this

revo in a corner as up light high ceiling is good idea dose similar to what you have there and still get pattern on ceiling and line up both walls
