I lost my Jack & Molly to Dementia last year ...2 precious Shih-Tzus ......He didn't remember who I was but I held him tight as he passed but Molly remembered me and though she had lost her sight for the next 2 days she was always by my feet.....she passed snuggled up next to me during the night......I felt her take her last breath...she went to be with her Jack.....RIP my sweethearts.....Jeter misses you. My Pug is devastated by the loss and sleeps in Jack's bed , has the red ball Jack loved, has Molly's blanket, her Stuffy, and Rudy the reindeer....all in bed as he sleeps. He's just started eating again but he just can't handle the loss He was with them for all of his 8 yrs....they were both 5 when I got him so they were like a mom & dad to him. Now he has memories just like me.

I’ve lost count how many times I got my dog a dog of their own either for companionship or to pull them out of a depression over the loss from a bonded pair. I had a young black mouth cur that lost his mate lay on the couch for months just sad. He didn’t really like the new gal at first but she didn’t care. 😊
