This is the best (english) video yet on the Kobra S1, by a wide margin.. People like me are dying to hear more from those of you who have it early. Keep the videos coming! Great work, and thanks for showing us everything in so much good detail. One of the issues I am most interested in is noise, and how it compares to the Bambu labs printers, which can be very loud. Base machine noise and noise with the ACE running. Anycubic says there is a "quiet" mode that should be a lot quieter than Bamboo, but I'm just not sure I believe it. I appreciate all your comments about the noise! Would love to hear more about this. Most of the design of the printer looks phenomenal. A couple of weird things, like how the spool holder on the back sticks out and can't be easily folded down or removed without an allen key, etc.
Thanks for the comment! I'll have more videos posted so far it's quieter than the Bambu lab x1c. Even with fans all the way up. I'm printing another model now at about 200-300mm/s and it seems quiet compared to x1c. X1c fans are louder
they just released the quiet mode update for the ACE, I use one on my Kobra 3. I know my Kobra 3 also has the option to run quiet mode on the printer too. I'm between getting the S1 or the Qidi Plus 4.
The fact that some are still trying to "kill bambu" while it is 2 years old and ready to release a new generation of printers is indicative of how great bambu really is.

@@Nordice92 the Creality K2

Too bad slot one doesn't work? Did no one QA that?
It's working fine now, i think it got knocked around in shipping. I used slot 2 then the first slot starting working good
The lack of OrcaSlicer support is the main thing stopping me from getting it tbh. I don't want to have to download another slicer and setup everything again
It uses orca slicer or any cubic next slicer which is based off of orca :)
@@PrintStart3D OrcaSlicer support isn't offical though, is it? Or have they added official profiles and wireless sending already?
I know Anycubic next is based on that, but I'd rather not have to download another slicer. 2 is annoying enough
@@mcrksman I'm hoping closer to launch and delivery, OrcaSlicer will be updated with the printer and print profiles. Fingers crossed.
@@mcrksmanyou can export the profile and import it directly into Orca. This is a nothing burger.
Just use the slicer from anycubic sliver next. Cloud connection and camera there. Plus it's orca slicer witch they update regularly
OK, so I was liking the video until you said "thank you Anycubic for sending this to me" so I was like now I know why he was so happy about it.. I think you should disclose that information at the beginning of the video as people might not get to the end and know that you got a free printer.. People might think you actually paid for this and it was wroth your money. Anything free is great...
😂😂😂😂
They send me there products to test before release. I genuinely like the printer. I have gotten many free printers that are terrible. This one is good. I can't be excited about a good product?
@@PrintStart3D Be open and up front about what you are discussing.. Disclosure is what I asked.. You never mentioned that until the end.. people say this is my opinion I did not pay for this was given for purposes of review blah blah blah before their video starts..
@OGHUGO good point. Didn't think of that. I'll make sure to let people know before the video starts in my future videos. But overall, I am enjoying the printer regardless of whether they sent it to me for free or I paid for it.
@@PrintStart3D So honestly, about halfway through the video I pre-ordered the combo, got a $30 for first time buyer, they say it is shipping mid Feb..
Yeah I am sure Bambu labs are the best around, give it a few prints before you say its a bambu killer, I run a print farm of P1s and X1E and x1C. I have used a lot of printers over my time, bambu hands down ar the best imop. but good video mate, always good to see new printers.
They always say this and don't even have a few hundred hours of print time; just, Hey, a new printer is out; it must be the Bambu killer. Just typical clickbait.
Bambu fan boys are so touchy... Bambu killer, bambu killer. 😝
Bambu killer 😊
I have the A1 mini and in 2 months the S1 Combo for 520€...
I think bambu and anycubic are both good
It's like Playstation and Xbox lol
Good job running a print farm and sending all your data and info over to the CCP. President Xi thanks you for your service.
To add, I paid $1199 for my X1C combo. Im feeling like that price was much too high now.
Been seeing kobra3 print head completely burn down. Hope they fixed it with this one, or at least make it open source so we can check the thermal protection settings. I won't buy another any cubic without open source firmware. They made the kobra 2 pro so unusable because of it.
at a $399 intro price for the printer only, I pulled the trigger pretty quickly.
If someone could upload a review of the Kobra 3 Max Combo that'd be awesome
That’s a great idea! I’ll add it to my list!
Are my eyes deceiving me but is there really no ethernet connectivity?
Why so much shaking? seems excessive by just looking at the back black (power?) cord movement. Really impressed without the print even done............right........You shouldn't have to do any setup the pre-loaded bench file should be optimally tuned for the printer and their own filament.
I've been through many printers it's easy to tell which is good and bad. This one is good. I'm still testing it though
Keep update, looks like copy pase from p1s with lower price but that's good, competition is always good, hope later video will similar good opinion
PS. test multi color benchy but from slicer not preinstalled on printer(gcode), anyway great review
The bambu killer?
Before bambu update: no
After bambu update: ye
Banbu is killing Bambu. Unless yiu want crippleware, dont buy bambu.
"I love it" after 5 minutes - come back after 6 months to see if its worth buying for just around $100 less than a P1S combo
keep up the good work
Nice machine!
Grease up the bolts before you start it...dont forget that or your parts will wear out....
You seem very talkative for someone that keeps repeating he's speechless LOL
The thing shakes too much. The print head is too heavy
Never met/seen an Anycubic fanboy lmao.
Ahhh yes the killer of a 3 year old printer. Well played anycubic
After all the drama Bambu just caused I can see more people going this route. Bad timing on Bambus part!
The fact every company has to copy Bambu Lab should tell you all you need to know.
idk man, seems far from polished. the software seems unfinished, its movements aren't very optimized, people seem to be having issues with the ACE Pro (including you lmao), this isn't a killer for anything, it's just a budget P1S alternative
in recent news Bambu did it to themselves
"Killer" of the two years old printer while the new generation of bambu is to be revealed in the coming month. Thats how far ahead bambu lab really is.
And if it has clipper is it open source? No video goes into that on these clipper machines I put clipper on my fookos Odin f3 with a makerbase pi almost 4 years ago and it is awesome to configure and/or modify are these new machines that way can you up the hot end can you install a chamber heater off of the existing board which is a breeze in clipper if it is open source please tell us this isn't just for your channel and reviews this is for all channels that review clipper printers
in my opinion, anything is better than a Chinese bamboo spy device
Look close I think there is Chinese written on the front where the plate is
Any Anycubic means it’s no killer. Mine kobra 3 that I have had for 2 months has been nothing but problems. :(
i use to be an anycubic fanboy i had 5 anycubic printers, but the slicers and lack of print quality killed it for me. I had to mod almost every aspect of their machines to get them to print with quality.
Just bought one for £460
Well I printed an excellent 14 minute Benchy on my Prusa MK4S without all the noise!
No mate, ur not the first person to get this printer. There are at least 2 Polish youtubers who made 1st look at this printer about week ago
Also a week ago so a few of itialian reviews
@robertogonzalezlages907 nice to hear, my YT feed is dominated by Polish and English videos.
Oh cool!
I didn’t see the channel name when YT suggested me your video and I thought it was “The Print Room” from the very beginning of the video “welcome to…”. Change the channel name.
Anyone know anything about the slicer for it?
Benchy is out, boaty is in. Get with the times.
bambu killer !!! good one
this looks like a copy of X1C, can't tell the difference in build.
I need a real bambu killer asap. I'm moving away from Bambu indefinitely
is great s1 i love this printer
only here to drop a comment that this is NOT the bambu killer.
If its so bad like K3, i isnt a bamboo killer
Lightning infill renders that benchy inadequate. Printing 15m bench does not a good printer make.
