This is the best (english) video yet on the Kobra S1, by a wide margin.. People like me are dying to hear more from those of you who have it early. Keep the videos coming! Great work, and thanks for showing us everything in so much good detail.
One of the issues I am most interested in is noise, and how it compares to the Bambu labs printers, which can be very loud. Base machine noise and noise with the ACE running. Anycubic says there is a "quiet" mode that should be a lot quieter than Bamboo, but I'm just not sure I believe it. I appreciate all your comments about the noise! Would love to hear more about this.
Most of the design of the printer looks phenomenal. A couple of weird things, like how the spool holder on the back sticks out and can't be easily folded down or removed without an allen key, etc.

    • @PrintStart3D

Thanks for the comment! I'll have more videos posted so far it's quieter than the Bambu lab x1c. Even with fans all the way up. I'm printing another model now at about 200-300mm/s and it seems quiet compared to x1c. X1c fans are louder

@@danilaalpatov1374 I'm a newer P1S owner and I'm already looking at these as replacement. I will not tolerate firmware that even suggests filament DRM, subscriptions, blocking of 3rd party software, data scraping which includes print files/video feeds and removal of features after the sale, with no ability to downgrade firmware under the guise of "security". It seems Bambu's endgame is to HP-ify their product line. Have fun with that while I stay "in the past" with a 3-year-old design.

@@danilaalpatov1374 3 year old design? Vorons, Klipper and Carrot Feeders go back years before Bambu tied it up in a bow and put it in a box with a glossy ad. Printer looks excellent and I’m keeping my pre-order. One thing concerning me though is that if the two videos I’ve watched of the review units, both had trouble with the ACE. Yours wouldn’t accept filament in bay 1 and the other video said the feed hole often seems to take filament but then fails and the filament often started feeding back into the ACE rather than out through the boden tube.
I hope you do a follow-up video in a couple of weeks after some decent use and let us know what issues you ran into.
    Great video though, very thorough.

On mine, the filament needs to be basically straight and it feeds fine. If the magnets on the bottom of the ACE unit gets flipped upside down, like mine did, it will refuse to feed and automatically unload. But I'm pretty sure mine was user error.

I don’t think it will kill anything. The upside to these machines is it forces competitiveness. The new creality hi combo is on the uk website at £399.. I looked at the Bambu a1 combo which is normally about £509 and it appears to have dropped to £419.. probably to be inline with creality. I started years ago with the ender 3 and had to tinker with it sooooo much, would have loved any of these newer machines to start with.

OK, so I was liking the video until you said "thank you Anycubic for sending this to me" so I was like now I know why he was so happy about it.. I think you should disclose that information at the beginning of the video as people might not get to the end and know that you got a free printer.. People might think you actually paid for this and it was wroth your money. Anything free is great...
