- "Little Girl Blue" written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1935 for the Broadway musical, Jumbo, was recorded by Frank Sinatra on November 6, 1953 for his debut album on Capitol Records, Songs for Young Lovers, a concept LP, released in January 1954. The track was arranged by George Siravo & conducted by Nelson Riddle. The song & album capture Frank Sinatra at a period in his life when his career was on an upswing & this is reflected in his performance. His voice was in top form, a model of perfection.
I loved Frank Sinatra and Always Will His Music Will Never Go Out of Style.
I still have the Songs for Young Lovers record (vinyl). I played it over and over and over again. There is not a dud track, all superb.
No one can replace a voice like this.
I love his songs and miss him since he has passed on !
Hermosura de tema , y Frank siempre inolvidable. Mil gracias.
fantastique👍 merci beaucoup (sinatra)
It doesn't get any better than this, catman! Thanks for this post, Paul
I actually played this album Yesterday, what a funny coincidence.
Sheer perfection! Great work, catman!

I hadn’t heard this. I don’t whether to feel irritated or hopeful. Of course, with old blue eyes singing, does it really matter?? I love that it seems to be ending on a rather good note. I hope he finds her. She seems to have been waiting a rather long time for him.
