Not even close. Dana is the monopoly of his entire sport. Eddie’s not even the clear number 1 promoter in his country, let alone his sport. Obviously boxing is more worldwide and harder to conquer but American boxing promotion are far more superior to anything Eddie can do.

The only reason this happens in MMA is because UFC has the monopoly on talent. That is slowly but surely changing with PFL and Bellator merging. But anyway, at an institutional level I'd compare UFC to NBA and I'd compare Boxing to FIFA. One is one league, one competition, one champion there it is there you have it, where as the other is multiple different premier leagues and inter changeability etc

It won't change over night but when you have champion tier athletes like Ngannou saying "f* this not enough money I'm making the switch" and has ALOT of success making that switch it will set a trend and others will do the same. Somthing better change or UFC won't have the monopoly on talent. Who knows, what happened to PRIDE could happen to UFC.

Only problem I've got with Dana living high off the hog is ... are the fighters getting enough? Sure, the non-champions are getting more than their boxing counterparts, but the champions aren't making $10M-$40M a pop.
The fighters get paid what they are worth. U get paid more when u bring in more UFC is a business not a charitable organization.

You can argue the fighters should get better managers capable of negotiating better contracts for their fighters, but that doesn't determine their worth. On the issue of money, boxing gives top-tier fighters what they're worth better than the UFC. That's why Ngannue is making $40M his next fight, while Jones will get lucky to make $10M.

As far as business boxing hasn’t came close to the ufc. Only thing boxers have done was manage to over pay the top 1% of there fighters.
Conor didn't "win" he said the BBBOC didn't have jurisdiction just because he let his license lapse after he got caught doping. He got off on a technicality and deserves a long ban for fighting whilst doping
He was cleared by the NADP and his suspension lifted. And then licensed by the Florida State Athletic Commission. He didn't box before this happened.

Nope. First why would ESPN pull the plug? They aren't HBO or Showtime, they are literally a sports entertainment brand. And the UFC is a great product for them. They will do everything in their power to keep the UFC beyond 2025.
If the UFC go, it's because the Netflix deal with the WWE turns out to be a success and they'll follow their new business partners there for a boatload more cash. Though there's a huge question mark of how the PPV model would work.
